Very nice coffee shop with unique food and bannock!

Holy cow. Impressed. Thats the best word to describe my feelings after visiting here. We had one of their burgers, one of their pow-wow powerbowls, some of the sweet donut-style bannocks and a couple of the savoury bannocks. Everything was incredible, the burger was fresh, tasty and delicious and same for the bowl. Dont even get me started about all the bannock treats too, I definitely ate more than I shouldve In addition to having well-prepared and delicious food, the staff were all awesome, the gentleman working in the kitchen that day (Saturday Sept 21) was kind, polite and helpful and the same applies to all the gals at the front counter. Im definitely coming back here anytime Im nearby. Having grown up in the prairies and gone to many pow-wows around saskatoon, the bannock tasted just like someones kokhum was sitting there preparing it all for us. I loved every bite. And just in case anyone isnt already aware, Saskatoon berries are the best berry. They make great smoothies, amazing icing for donuts, jam and so much more...

Previously I ve enjoyed the Kekuli Cafe, but this visit was disappointing. When I arrived to pick up my order, I stood there for almost 10 minutes while staff chatted, hidden behind the counter. The kitchen staff glanced at me a few times but nobody acknowledged my presence. I wound up leaving to take a call and when I returned 2 ladies were standing by the till talking to each other. I tried to say hi and they glanced at me and went back to chatting. I eventually said I was there to pick up. If I hadn t already placed my order and paid online, I wouldnt have come back after I left to answer my phone. The food was okay, but the salmon sandwich had barely any salmon. Which was disappointing after paying $10 for it. Both the BLT and salmon sandwiches were dry. The turkey cheddar sandwich was very good. The Saskatoon and mango smoothies were ok but not very flavourful.

Nice cafe inside, lots of food options that looked good. Unfortunately ordered the wrong drink which tasted awful in my opinion. Ordered a pumpkin spice latte made with oat milk. It almost tasted like liquor, maybe they make it in house but I ordered flavoured lattes often and thought the flavour was very gross! Staff were nice and helpful, would not recommend ordering PSL.

Try to order off doordash and have my order confirmed over half hour before 5:00 when they apparently started closing today. Thought I was getting delicious food and now Im not and have to go through getting a refund. Not okay.

What a lovely little coffee shop that is cute and clean with very pleasant staff. They offer an Indigenous menu and amazing coffee. If you ve never had bannock before, go here! You won t be disappointed.

Bannock is amazing

A wonderful little gem, hidden in plain sight. I was just looking for any cold coffee in between shopping stops, but ended up with an ice cold hibiscus refresher (yum!) and a blueberry bannock (double yum!). The café almost feels like someone s comfy living room, complete with a clean restroom and relaxing music (I think it was native music but I might be mistaken). Very friendly service!

It was my first time trying bannock, so I decided to order the salmon sandwich, the salmon bowl, and a Saskatoon berry bannock. Everything was delicious. The bread that came with the bowl was warmed up and soft, which made it even more enjoyable. I believe the sandwich would have been even better if the bannock had been warmed up as well. The service was friendly and prompt. Although the total cost with tax came to $47, which is a bit pricey, I would still recommend the restaurant.

This was my first experience with bannock and I am blown away. The cinnamon sugar bannock was lovely! My boyfriend have the back bacon bannockwich and he really enjoyed it. He doesnt have much of a sweet tooth so the mango quencher was perfect for him. My best friend had the venison taco and he thoroughly enjoyed that as well. I ordered the maple coquihalla fog and loved the flavor. Thank you for serving us, fantastic job all around!

Terrible. We had a bannock topped with egg and ham and cheese. Unfortunately, the bun itself wasnt properly tasted, so it was completely limp. The latte was sugary sweet and nasty due to unwanted syrup. The sweets were again just rolls with a few raisins on them or a few fruits on them, but no real taste. It has no ambience at all: there are no plates, cutlery or proper cups. Everything comes in paper bags and paper cups. Never again.

Always wanted to try bannock but never had the opportunity to do so. First time trying it out but definitely wont be my last. Ill definitely be back every time I visit Kelowna.

I first went to the Merritt location. Loved it and the meal was so large I couldn t eat it all. Then I went to Kelowna location as I don t visit Merritt often. Merritt gave me almost plate size bannock and Kelowna you get a very small piece of bannock with rice basically. Still acceptable as I left feeling full. Today we went there and an automatic tip of 21% was added to our bill and they don t have table service for that tip. Cancelled our order and won t go back. Manager was rude saying he still has to clean tables to earn the tip. We won t return. It s up to me to decide when and how I tip and should not be automatically added on a debit machine.

I enjoy this place to eat the food is good but man their manager really needs to brush up on his skills with customers I had an automatic tip added to my bill something that I dont approve of I was not informed by the cashier that the tip was added to my bill they let me pay with my debit card without telling me expecting me to watch every screen on the debit machine and on the till and see it myself without warning. I complained to the manager about this all I wanted was the tip back there so I could have the right to leave a tip if I wanted to based on service and all he could do is make excuses for his employees and his computer system and then it took him over 20 minutes to figure out how to issue a refund sadly I will not patronize this restaurant any longer as a result of this horrible service they like to take your money but they dont like to refund it if they screw up.

Met up with out-of-town family. Easy lunch of turkey on bannock. Always enjoy stopping here. Parking: Several businesses in the area, and 11:30 workday parking wasnt hectic.

We never fail to stop at the Kekuli Cafe while in Kelowna or Merritt. This mornings bacon breakfast sandos were outstanding in flavour and price. Youll never go to a fast food stop once you try one. The coffee is a good, deep brew and the bannock is delicious. Five stars every time. Oh, and the young gent who served us earlier has the greatest voice. Someone should contract him for broadcast. Dulcet tones!

Excellent friendly staff, delicious food (corn/bean nachos bowl) and generous portions. Very reasonable prices. Will highly recommend the Kekuli Cafe to others. So happy to have this cafe in West Kelowna!

Love this place and stop by whenever we are in the area. Big fan of their bannock. Most recently we enjoyed a Back Bacon BLT and a Scrambled beef taco. So many tempting things on their menu.

I make a point to come to this restaurant whenever Im in the area. Cant get over how good the food is.. Would recommend getting a Saskatoon berry smoothie with your order - otherwise youre missing out!

As a first-time visitor that is also Indigenous, it was a unique experience to come here. The bannock was good although I did experience a pocket of dry flour in mine. I also ordered a sugar-free vanilla latte alongside my bannock which was ok but felt like too many pumps of the sugar-free syrup in it. Service was ok and the atmosphere was nice. Very culturally inspired. Upon arrival, I did almost fall going up off the curb onto the sidewalk as it had snowed quite a bit and the business hadnt cleared the snow from the sidewalk at all. Expensive food. Service was terrible. The girl at the front didnt listen very well. My wife ordered one drink she wanted to try and got something else entirely. I ordered a taco and got a taco bowl instead. Complained to fellow behind the counter and got blown off. Food was good but really not what I wanted. Next time Ill go to a Mexican restaurant for tacos instead.

Love the atmosphere at Kekuli. They run a clean cafe with excellent menu option and awesome service. If youre a cafe explorer, you have to check out Kekuli Cafe. Fantastic local cafe and I always recommend Kekuli to locals and non locals.

I heard incredible things about this place and finally had the chance to try it out. The Blueberry Venison Pow Wow Bowl was delicious and so filling. I did order the can of Lavender Lemonade but received a Blueberry in store Lemonade instead. It wasnt sweet which was nice and it tasted good too.

Ive heard good things about this locally-owned cafe and finally had a chance to check it out! My group ordered the venison blueberry nachos, Saskatoon BBQ chicken tacos (served bowl-style over rice), and a Smoreos bannock. Everything was fresh and flavourful - even the plain bannock the tacos came with! A cozy establishment with a lot of care put into their food.

First of all, In person service amazing. However don t expect a reply if you message them using social media. I have twice sent them a message saw they read it and never got a reply back. We had ordered via skip the dishes, I asked our deliverer but it was the cafe that forgot the two items. I message Kekuli Cade to politely let them know we were missing two items since I couldn t get through when I called. They read my message and never responded, not even a oops sorry about that. Again though if you go in person the food and customer service is awesome.

Brought a friend for her first time. I had the venison(deer) taco, and she had the salmon. Both were amazing and large portions. Ordered some of the specialty Bannock to go. There was so much variety that I had a hard time choosing. Saskatoon berry, maple glazed, cinnamon and sugar, and a baked cheese Bannock all made their way home as well. Staff were amazing and very personable.

Quiet cafe with good food, delicious drinks, and a beautiful atmosphere. The Saskatoon berry late is a must have! Amazing traditional food. The chicken mushroom cheese and wild salmon on Bannock are my top favourites. And the potato s for the side are delicious. Top it off with very friendly staff, love to support an amazing local business!

I was so excited by the way their menu looked on line. But what I got was fast food. I have had other indigenous cafe food and was so happy with it. This was so very disappointing. One of the meals was a veggie sandwich for a 28 yr old man. This would have fed my 5 yr old grandson. So overpriced for a fast food style restaurant.

The staff is super friendly, and their bannock always tastes amazing.

The Bannock Taco is a must-have, the portion is huge and filling They have so many delicious traditional options for food, which I love since lots of places like Starbucks don t have the most extensive food options/menus Their coffee is delicious; the maple Canadiano and chai freeze are specialty drinks of theirs that you must try! their bannock will put any donut you ve ever had to shame if you like Beavertails, try the cinnamon and sugar bannock (it s even better)!!! also sold within: purchasable bags of Kekuli and Spirit Bear coffee, beautiful traditional Indigenous artworks, fancy coffee syrups, memorabilia (Kekuli tumblers, mugs, etc.) great café atmosphere and very friendly staff!

Oh WOW!!! Mom and I truly enjoyed our late lunch here! The food was absolutely amazing! The cook was so awesome! She was so nice and pleasant! I dont think Ill ever be able to eat a donut again, after having their bannock. The bannock is soft as a pillow, and so fresh. The apple cinnamon was out of this world, and the Saskatoon tea latte was to die for. Cant wait to come back soon!

I liked that this cafe was unique and made many items with a Bannock base. It was laid out like any coffee house. They do have a patio which wasnt being used which can be attributed to heat. We purchased a 6 pack of Bannock based pastries. I thought they were a bit pricey at 25.00. Overall a good experience.

What a fantastic find. Delicious food at a great price point.

We stopped by here earlier this month for a quick bite to eat. We shared the chicken nachos and Id say that the portion was generous enough for the two of us, though to be fair, we dont have particularly large appetites. The chicken was nicely done and not dry. I do wish that they had given us more salsa and sour cream. The cafe itself is cute with lovely art on the walls. Id go there again to try other things next time in Im the area.

Found this place while we visited West Kelowna (Kelowna is now divided into West Kelowna and Westbank) back in June. Kekuli Cafe was located within walking distance from our hotel Fairfield Marriott. They mainly sell Bannocks, sandwiches and coffee. Never heard of what Bannock is until I walked into Kekuli Cafe. Felt too curious of what Venison Bannock was like. It was around $6 for Venison Bannock which wasn t cheap. This pastry was soft and tasty. No gamey smell of venison at all. There was some venison meat which looked and reminded me of ground beef. Forgot to say the pastry was big. I m glad we went here to try Bannock at Kekuli. John Catucci s picture urged me to try their food. It was worth a try! Staff was fast and friendly.

This will be my second time coming out to your establishment and having the Bannock for the first time and I was excited coming back to West Kelowna from Toronto and I had to venture out your way and experience the traditional dishes, we need your cafe and tasty food here in Toronto, perhaps extend that franchise this way.

This was our first stop after the long drive from Vancouver. We were here to support an indigenous restaurant and try the bannocks. We got the bannocks to go and had the taco bowls to eat there. The staff were all very friendly (which we dont get that often in Vancouver ) I got the deer taco bowl and it was pretty good, the portion was just right the bannocks were so good I wish we could get them here in Vancouver

My wife and I dropped by the west Kelowna Kekuli Cafe yesterday for lunch and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we walked into the cafe the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were very knowledgeable of the menu selections and very personable throughput our stay. The cafe was clean and nicely decorated with an outdoor area for those wanting to enjoy their meal outdoors. We had the marinaded chicken tacos as well as a chicken salad salad for our entrees and the ingredients were extremely fresh and the flavours were vibrant. The tea, coffee and cold drink menu was varied and delicious from the first to the last sip. Wonderful experience all the way around. Two very high thumbs up.

We arrived this Monday, not realizing it was a holiday and the cafe was closing early. Although they couldnt serve us food, the staff kindly gifted us the last bannock, which already gave us a little taste of the great food at this place. We came back the next day for lunch and ordered the bbq chicken and venison tacos with Saskatoon berry smoothie and lavender lemonade. Every piece tasted incredible! We ended up taking two dessert bannocks to go because we just couldnt get enough.

During our stay in Kelowna this was our main place for breakfast and lunch when we were in the neighborhood, because of the good food quality. This is absolutely a different league of food if you compare it the fast food chains around here. Fresh bread, salads, chicken, it all tastes great!

The Chai Freeze was a great option for me as I do not care for coffee. So smooth and very good! The bannock is insanely delicious! Went back 2 more times during our week trip. Tried the Skor freeze and maple bannock... DELECTABLE!

ordered Canadian back bacon, Grilled chicken taco as our breakfast. It was okay nothing much special. And for the drink I tried Lavender lemonade it wasn t sour I liked it! And Canadiano coffee was good too.

Been wanting to get here for a while. On our annual Kelowna camping trip, I stopped by for a snack. DAMN! The cheese bannock was terrific! Kids had the cinnamon bannock bites and loved them as well. Can t wait to come back and try more of the offerings next time I m in town.

Good prices, easy to find, lots of parking, lovely staff and some great gift items too. I live an hour away and now that I ve been there I ll never pass through West Kelowna without stopping again. Im not a taco fan but I kept hearing about Kekuli Indian tacos from so many people that finally I decided to try. It was soooooo good and delicious that I even ordered for our companys event. Everybody absolutely loved it and enjoyed the dishes. Kekuli did a great job managing that big of order, I was so happy and impressed.

Decided to go for lunch November 25th as we had been here once prior. Was very disappointed with the menu. For sandwiches there were only two option. We ordered one. Very plain and nothing special about it AT ALL other than the bannock bread was great. We tried a few bakery items but once again highly overrated. The only great thing perhaps is the bannock bites . The lady serving us unfortunately was anything but friendly! We were really disappointed. Not happy at all it appeared~ I would say interesting to try it but highly overrated. They need a better lunch/ sandwich menu.

It s sitting in front of me now, and I can t even remember what it s called, but holy geez the food AND drinks here are fire.
