This was a good place. We ate here often. Maybe a new cook? Today meal was twice the promised time, by itself not such a big deal. However, it was also not cooked to the previous standards. Odd flavors. Pork rice had a dog food smell. I'm not sure the chicken was actually chicken. Not joking. Perhaps tilapia? Stretchy weird texture and fiber length. To top it off my daughter pulled a curled sharp piece of metal out of her mouth. Hopefully, the only piece was the one she found! We'll stay away for a few months, if not longer, as I'd recommend to anyone. (Nov '24)
Ordered combos for 14 people. The food delicious, served hot and exactly on the time I requested to pick up. Our new go to for Chinese cuisine.
Worst Chinese i have had in a long time. Ordered a dinner for 2, almond chicken tasted like shrimp, sweet and sour pork was overdone. Never go there! Will try and get some $ back. Go elsewhere....
I am sad leaving this review. They have been our go to Chinese food but the last take out meal was really aweful as was the one before it. Last time they sent the wrong dish and replaced it with the correct one and demanded the wrong dish back or we would have to pay for it. I explained that some had been taken out and they wanted it back anyway. I gave it to the driver and he returned it to the restaurant. I contemplated calling public health as it is a violation of public health policies. Our last meal was truly aweful. Fried rice was cold and definitely not fresh. It tasted odd so we threw it out. Sweet and sour chicken was undercooked and raw. An 85 dollar meal and most was thrown out because it was inedible.
Yesterday we phoned & placed an ordered from Beef & Broccoli. Our order was 'Dinner for 2 with 3 extra spring rolls.' Due to sever allegries, we were allowed to replace Almond chicken with Lemon Chicken. We paid $55 . We picked up order & headed home. After opening bag of food, we found dry & overcooked ALMOND chicken AND 2 spring rolls. The 3 additional "spring rolls" were 100% diff than the overcooked pkg of 2. We assumed they were eggrolls. Phoned about Lemon chicken, which they delivered. Tks We found the serving amts were 1/3 of a what a competitor serves for the same price !! I have never given a bad review before, but I couldn't pass on this one. Sorry, but won't order from here again !!

Had their chicken chow mein tonight and we were surprised it was actually pretty good compared to the other places around. Didn't find it greasy and was almost sweet(?) Which we enjoyed. One of the better chow meins I'd had in the kelowna area for sure. 4 stars for now as I haven't tried anything else yet. The family there was also very nice !!!
Everyone on here is always asking where is the best Chinese food restaurant. We’ve been ordering from Beef Broccoli Restaurant since it was Hong Kong and we have never been let down. Meal for 3 with an extra entree hot fresh and delicious every time. Delivery drivers are always polite and accommodating. Can’t say enough about this business.

I was really pleased to find this gem. The food was not greasy and fresh and tasty. Totally recommend this place over any other Chinese take out in Westbank. Just an update, it seems to have changed. Chowmein needs more veggies and meat, the sweet n sour starting to get grisly and fat and sauce tastes like honey garlic. Getting greasy. What happened??
We ordered take-out and it was delicious. I couldn t wait until the morning to have some left-overs for breakfast. I m not exaggerating, the food was good.

Limited to no dine-in options and the inside looks dingy. Food is pretty average for decent Chinese food except the sweet and sour which is absolutely delicious (unless you like it sickly-sweet). All in all, not my first choice but I d go back.
I ate here with my family and we ordered the beef chow mein, wonton soup, and combo 3. All of the food was super fresh and the couple who own the restaurant were lovely and amazing with their service. My family genuinely enjoyed our meal here and well certainly be back if we are in the area.
Ordered out as a treat and the meal was disappointing. The wonton soup broth was clear and flavorless, the beef in the beef broccoli tasted like shrimp and the batter coating the sweet and sour pork was gummy. Although it is not the restaurants fault the food was barely warm when delivered by Skip.
This is the 4th time we have ordered take out. This time the boneless garlic pork was so over done it was almost inedible and the broccoli was mush. When I called them and explained they didn t care. The problem is that they don t take accountability. Will think twice before ordering again. Another review - Feb 17, 2024 .we have ordered from here a few times but going from bad to worse. The gentleman that sometimes answers the phone barely speaks English so difficult to have him understand your order. They have now twice forgotten part of our order to which we have paid for and tipped as well. We pick our food up and no we didn t check it before leaving. When we get home and discover part of our order is missing - you call them and they try and blame us and then tell us to come back and get what they missed. We don t live really close so it s a pain to return. They don t seem to care. Will definitely not order from them again . Plus their food is mediocre at best .

Beef Broccoli makes the best Chinese food we ve ever had. The staff are family and so so sweet. The delivery driver (owners son) is very polite, thankful and pleasant. We placed a $200 order for delivery on Saturday. Not only did it arrive right on time, but the driver called upon arrival, I embarrassingly missed his call twice, luckily he hung around, and was not annoyed or irritated. And the food was so fresh and hot, it was like dining in. They never get your order wrong and their food is so darn good! Big portions for a great price! Highly highly recommend!

The quantity of food you recieve is pretty good. Quality is so so You can tell its cooked fresh and some items homemade. Chicken chow meine and chow fun for example was very bland. I would definately steer clear of the egg rolls (egg wrapper with gelatinous goo ) Overall not to bad
Was a very strange atmosphere. When we entered, it was hard to tell if it was even open. We werent sure what kind of restaurant it was. When the server did finally come out, we asked what kind of restaurant it was, and we got a very annoyed like duh Chinese food. We sat and ordered, but it was very awkward. we almost felt like we were being a bother for even ordering. The food came, which was mediocre. we had ordered beef and broccoli, which had almost no beef, and when we asked about it, we got the, its out of my control, for an answer. The fact that it had no music playing didnt help the feeling of not being wanted. It was just a bizarre feeling

Very nice place, kind service, and the chop suey was delicious! Filled with fresh vegetables (peppers, carrot, zucchini, celery, onion) and a large portion of meat in it too. Dietary restrictions: A few gluten free options which is better than most Chinese restaurants, chop suey was great.
Very disappointed. Our meals were very bland but worse than that we both felt ill after eating lasting 24 hours. Never again.
This restaurant caters to Kelownas pallets for Chinese food. The plates are your basic western dishes like almond chicken, sweet and sour pork, chow mein , beef and broccoli. The quality of meat when I went was tough not velveted and for dine in the chow mein was over cooked and soft. The person on the wok had decent skill, you could taste a little bit of it. It seems like this restaurant does more delivery then dine in now because the tables in the restaurant had tons of supplies piled all over the place so only the tables on the right are Osborn for dine in. Overall, I m beginning to think, the Chinese restaurants in Kelowna serve lack lustre flavourless dishes because that s what sells and that s what the people here buy. This is not the best Chinese food in town as per the other reviews. This is sugary, sweet, soft mall style Chinese food with ok portions. What would make this place better: combination platters that are different from the next. Some tenderizing of the meat. A curtain to hide the supplies. Maybe even feature a viral recipe or two: skirt dumplings, bbq buns or their take on a holiday mean, sweet and sour turkey balls with a sweet and sour gravy. I can tell the cooks here have talent from the preparation but the menu doesn t showcase the full range of their skills.
Was reluctant to order as it appeared to be a chain restaurant but their review rating was decent so took the chance. Turns out we were pleasantly surprised - especially liked the chow mein, fried rice and chop suey. The delivery person went above and beyond by walking our order from a few houses away due to lack of snow cleariing by our neighbours. Very impressed.

Food has been consistently good. I usually order single meal combo but occasionally order several dishes. Prices are within the range of other nearby Chinese restaurants.
(Visited month ago) Very tasty food, nice portions, fast and nice service. Looks closed from outside because of lights, but ones you get in sweet older lady almost runs to you to take care of you. Nice menu, not overwhelming but all items I wish in restaurants like this. Very good quality of food and very fair price.

I got the dinner for two roughly $35 in total some of the food did not seem fresh spring rolls tasted like m&m spring rolls food was a little greasy and wasn t worth the price. The booths were filled with onions boxes unopened items little to no seating room. HOWEVER the chicken chow mein was very good tasted the best out of everything I hope I can try this place again and change my mind!
I usually dont write reviews but I unfortunately have to do this one. My wife and I decided to give this place a dine- in try. The place doesnt look very well taken care of from the inside. We were awkwardly greeted and assigned a table. When we got the menus, we asked about a few options of what is served with certain options. The staff didnt seem to know their menu very well. I eventually ordered broccoli chicken. I dont know if the chickens were flexible gymnasts in their lifetime but when I got my chicken, it was the most rubbery, slimey chicken Ive ever had. All in all a not so good experience and both my wife and I felt kinda sick to the stomach afterwards. I hate to write this, but I also have to let other people know what to expect.

Want the best Chinese food in west Kelowna? You ve found it! This is our family s goto for the best Chinese we feel in the Okanagan. Portions are HUGE, prices are respectable, fresh high quality ingredients with lots of flavour, low salt and low grease. Best of all they have Gluten free menu options and NO MSG. You won t be guzzling water later. I would recommend the dinner for 3. It will easily feed 5 adults.

That in the worst Chinese food I have ever had. ordered no. 4 combo and a side of dry garlic ribs Food was almost comical The chicken chow mien had 2 little pieces of chicken...1 juillened carrot and some green leaf on top, no bamboo or sprouts. Got 4 pieces of dry garlic ribs, the sweet and sour pork was so tough barely chewable and the lemon chicken, all 2 pieces looked like a pancake it was so flat Brutal food and chucked it out

Best Won ton soup ive ever had. Dont let the Karens doing reviews deter you from this place, probably one of the best Chinese food places in town. Just about everything ive had here has done better than other places other than the egg foo young sadly.
Food was good not excellent, good price and service. Portion size are enough to split if you don t eat a lot. Overall is good!
DELICIOUS Ive been meaning to try this place out and Im so glad I did. Very friendly people and the beef and broccoli is superb the chicken chow mei was also fantastic. You get a huge portion of absolute yummy! Definitely coming back soon!

We are originally from Manitoba where the Chinese food is amazing. We have tried all the Chinese restaurants in the area. This is by far the best! Delivery was quick, the food was hot, fresh and delicious! Portions are very large. Will definitely order again.
