BYOB Greek tavern offering classic dishes in a casual space with Aegean-inspired blue-&-white decor.
I've been coming here for years, but I wouldn't call myself a regular. Whenever I bring guests who have never been, they're always very pleased. This was the case again last week. My companion and I were very happy with all our selections. We had the fried calamari and the zucchini chips for starters and the red snapper and lamb chops as our mains. Everything was served hot and fresh with portions so large we had to leave quite a bit on our plates. The lamb chops were the best I'd had in quite some time. Tender and succulent, and they were able to accommodate my preference for them to be served rare. Staff were friendly, as usual, but service was slower on this particular visit than normal. Nice that it's a BYOB with a corkage fee, but we weren't drinking that evening. Prices have risen steadily over the years, but that's the case almost everywhere. I would consider them competitive, especially given the portion sizes.
My family and I got some appetizers to share, including the skordalia (a dish that is kind of like mashed potatoes), saganaki (a fried cheese dish that you make by setting cheese on fire), and Greek salad. For the main course, I got the shrimp pasta and then for dessert, I got the baklava. Everything was delicious! Also, our waiter was super nice and had a great sense of humor, and I really like the decor of the restaurant as well!
Tasty Food | Great atmosphere | Really nice owner/chef
I was very happy to find a Greek restaurant in the heart of Westmount. The food overall was good. Fried calamari portion was generous, Greek salad had fresh vegetables and authentic feta cheese (quite a challenge to find it in Montreal), shrimps in the main course were big and delicious. However, I was not happy with the sides of the shrimp dish, specifically carrot tasted horrible (as if its expired), potatos and rice on the same plate made no sense at all. The restaurant ambiance is amazing, rustic Greek decor and plates are very well picked. Cheers to the hostess at the entrance, what a lovely girl, so helpful and friendly!
We came to Petros as a large group and they offered us excellent service. Starting by the nice gentleman who took our reservation and answered all my questions, to the staff who was kind and attentive during our meal. The food was exceptional and very generous portions. Thank you for everything, I will definitely love to come back to try other dishes.
🍽️ This is my review after the sixth visit. Nestled in the heart of Westmount, Petros is a Greek culinary haven that I recently had the pleasure of experiencing. From the moment I stepped in, the restaurant's beauty struck me - a perfect blend of traditional Greek charm and modern elegance. The warm lighting, rustic decor, and inviting atmosphere set the stage for a memorable dining experience, complemented by the company I was fortunate to share it with. 😍 🕰️ As I settled in, it became evident that the restaurant was understaffed, with only one waiter and a pair of hostesses attending to the entire dining area. While this didn't dampen the overall mood, it did extend the waiting times, testing our patience ever so slightly. 😕 The presence of the manager was noted, though his involvement seemed limited when it came to assisting the team during peak hours. It would have been a plus to witness a more hands-on managerial approach. 🤷♂️ 🥗 Now, let's delve into the culinary delights that Petros had to offer. The Greek salad, a true hallmark of Mediterranean cuisine, was a burst of freshness on the palate. The generous cuts of tomatoes provided a juicy and tangy counterpoint to the crisp lettuce, cucumbers, and olives. The dressing, a medley of olive oil, lemon, and herbs, tied the elements together harmoniously. 😋 🦑 A standout among the appetizers was the grilled calamari. The delightful char on the tender rings of calamari showcased the kitchen's mastery of grilling, while the seasoning brought out the natural flavors of the seafood. The dish disappeared from the table in no time, leaving behind satisfied smiles all around. 🦑 🍣 For the main course, I decided to embark on a seafood journey, opting for the trio of salmon, grilled shrimp, and swordfish. The fish was beautifully cooked, each variety carrying its unique taste and texture. The salmon, delicate and buttery, practically melted in my mouth, while the swordfish offered a firm and succulent bite. The grilled shrimp, marinated to perfection, provided a satisfying crunch that paired wonderfully with the seafood's tenderness. 🍤🐟 🥦 Alas, not every dish was flawless. The green beans, which had the potential to shine as a delightful side, were unfortunately let down by an unexpected mushiness. It was a minor setback, considering the overall quality of the meal, but still worth mentioning. 🥦 🍷 Petros brings forth a commendable Greek dining experience that marries picturesque surroundings with a medley of flavorful dishes. While the service might have experienced some bottlenecks, the delightful food and charming ambiance ultimately prevail. A visit to Petros promises a journey to the heart of Greece's culinary traditions, where the flavors transport you to the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean. 👍🌟
The food that I like is 5 stars. Because I don’t love everything, it drops. However the good food is great. Love the zucchini chips, the green fine chopped (psilokomeni) salad is amazing, fried cheese, very good. Friends have lost their minds over the Lima beans (gigantes), spreads. It is bring your own wine and there is an SAQ next door. They have a nice area in the basement for bigger groups. The terrace is nice. The service is great. Lorenzo is a fantastic waiter. He and the great busboys deserve 5+ stars.
Beautiful restaurant with great company. With only one waiter and 2 hostesses to service the entire place, it took longer than expected. Manager present but didn't seem to help much. The Greek salad had large cuts of tomatoes with a good dressing. The grilled calamari tasted good too. Had the salmon, grilled shrimp and swordfish which all were prepared very well. The green beans were rather mushy unfortunately.
The food was not enough for the price
went with a large group, sharable meals, no corkage fee
Without question, the BEST Greek food Ive had in Montreal. We were a group of about 20 for a Baptism celebration. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Anastasios who served as waiter and Maitre-D, and who made us feel as if we were family joining him for a meal. The delicious fresh food began the moment we sat down and didnt stop coming till we were bursting at the seams. First the warm fresh bread loaf with oil and Greek herbs, followed by nice and thick tzatziki (garlic spread), delicious spanikopita (cheese and spinach feuilleté), typical Greek salad with a terrific dressing, the most tender calamari and crisp zucchini chips, both battered and fried to perfection, grilled Greek-recipe chicken breast, salmon filets which melted in your mouth, all with accompaniments such as Greek potato wedges, roasted corn on the cob and fluffy rice. Then there were the desserts - light and spongy vanilla cake, a panoply of festive macaroons and loukoumades (fried dough balls drizzled with honey), all served with traditional Greek espresso. Wow what a feast ! The menu is extensive, the food traditional and exemplary. The serving staff was also impeccable, constantly making sure you were properly taken care of. Whether in a group or with friends and family, you will NOT be disappointed at Petros Taverna Westmount !
Just got back from a wonderful dinner for my Great Nieces Baptism. Amazing food, Amazing service. Absolutely loved it. I most definitely refer it.
I have been here twice since April. Both times have been excellent. I really like that you can order half portions. They are really generous portions though. The half portion of calamari here is like a full portion in some other establishments. The calamari was lightly breaded, hot and crispy. The Greek salad was good, as was the tzatziki. The grilled octopus was the star of the show, tender and nicely charred. The first time I went it was not as good as it was bit undercooked and rubbery. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen? But, this time, perfection. The loup de mer was very tasty, The service was so fast, it almost felt like we were being rushed, but we took our time. The place was packed for a Friday night with groups and private party downstairs. Would definitely go back.
Pricey and if you re looking for fine dinning that s not it! Large volume of food but the quality is really meh
Amazing restaurant! Food is great, friendly staff, reasonable prices for the quality. Feels like Im back in Greece. Highly recommend
Loved the place. Too delicious that I had to leave with my button popped open. Enough said. Lamb is tender and tastey.
Great food , staff is top tier. Bring your own booze restaurant which is fantastic. Nice restaurant with good pricing.
BYOB, Casual dining, Overall nice experience, Street parking can be a issue.
I had a business dinner with 25 guest at this place tonight, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend. I will go back for my other events for sure.
Rude
Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options. Food
Quite disappointed with the value for money! $75.00 + $10 (tip) for a take-out order including a Greek salad and a plate of grilled squid... My salad only had tomatoes without any lettuce leaves... I would have liked a small piece of bread for that price, as it was a picnic in the park with my elderly father in a wheelchair.. . This restaurant does not have any ramps for the disabled unfortunately. The atmosphere inside seems pleasant. I feel like I ate 3 tomatoes for $85. The telephone order was ready quickly.
Just terrible food, thats all I can say. For the price you are paying, they serve you crap
Very good food and value for bring your own wine. A neighborhood classic and great place for fresh food. Terrace is nice in summer as well.
The servers are nice and the feta cheese is excellent. HOWEVER, the rest of the food is flavorless. I dont know where the spices went, but its dry and doesnt taste anything. The restaurant is definitely NOT worth the price and its expensive $$$.
The food is absolutely fantastic, great staff and very clean 20
Bring your own wine. No alcohol sales here. Perfectly fine but bring a bottle or two. Fantastic food, great people
I made a reservation for a big group for a surprise party. The staff was amazing, from reception to the waiters. We had great service and the food was delicious. I had the lam and it didn t disappoint.
If this place calls them fine dining, it s simply not. The good quality is similar to pizza diner you find in Montreal that are not great but satisfy your bare minimum requirements. This resto is the same, it just satisfies bare minimum. The octopus tasted like chicken. Much better options out there with better quality octopus/food. This food was really, whatever!
Some of the best calamari Ive ever had. Great service, really friendly staff. The food was excellent and its a bring your own wine.
I have been to Petros, I was not satisfied!! The starters are not bad, for the main course we took a sharing dish of fish shrimp and others which cost $210, believe me who only had 4 shrimp, 4 fish a few squid and thats it, they added some small toppings, it wasnt filling at all!! They put more peppers than fish. Also at the end, when I gave the server an average tip given the quality of the dishes, he started playing the guilt game, he came to tell me Im sorry for my service given your tip, he told me repeated it 3 times to make me feel guilty even though I didnt eat well, I dont recommend this restaurant
I thought I could find more vegetarian options, but it was almost my only one. It was so delicious, but light meal.
We ordered three entrees, all very good! Zucchini chips are a must.
Good place with ok service. Good Variety and nice decoration. Food is good ( but very salty ) . Bring your own booze is a plus for sure and makes the food taste better. Terrace in the summer. Verdict : give it a try.
The best service you could ask for, very fresh food
Marino is an amazing Waiter. The service was perfectly timed, the food was delicious, and the desert was outstanding. We forgot our leftovers and Marino ran after us outside to give us the small box we forgot. I highly recommend eating here, amazing atmosphere and excellent Greek Food!!! A+++++++++++++++
Very impressive restaurant! Very welcoming atmosphere, perfect and warm service, very very good dishes, very good experience and I will keep very good memories of it!! We had a dinner together! To do again, thank you very much to the restaurant for everything :)
Very cozy restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere, the service was excellent! Food was very good, I highly recommend. Will definitely be back soon! Food : 5/5
We decided to stick to appetizers and share a bunch. WOW! The best Greek salad I ve ever had- delicious zucchini chips & excellent Calamari. I can t wait to visit again for the main course! Thank you, Petros!
Excellent!
Great food, big portions, reasonable prices, good service, very cute restaurant. Get the zucchinis and the octopus !
Have to say what disappointment , ordered a dessert and we had a 12 inch long hair wrapped in the yogurt and it was strawberry blond . Called the waiter and he said ok I won t charge you for this , would you like another one . This was totally unacceptable . I will not be back .
Super poor service. Food took nearly an hour and fifteen minutes after they assured it was coming. Manager(?) that took our order was talking to other tables for an hour while we waited for our food. Food was then served lukewarm. Also watched a couple walk out waiting for their food as well. Wouldnt recommend.
Went here for my birthday last night as I was craving saganki. It was the worst Ive even had, couldnt even finish it. Hard dry tough. The yogurt tray with pita was probably the only good thing. Mussels were rubbery and served with french fries. Last time I checked mussels come with crusty bread to soak up the sauce. No sovalki which is an authentic Greek dish. So I dont understand that not being a menu. Would never return again. The owners son is amazing and the best part of the night. For us a total waste of 100.00 for appetizers. Sorry guys but this restaurant failed poorly for us.
This is the second time ever I write a negative restaurant review and it s because good business is making sure your customers who voice dissatisfaction with their food should leave satisfied no matter what. And this place didn t seem to care. Montreal is filled of great restaurants so I advise you to go enjoy those instead.
We were there with a large group for a celebration and the food and service were excellent. Vegetarian options: Greek Salad Fish Calamari Zucchini chips with tzatziki
Ive seen things in my life. European having traveled in a good part of the world (including Canada) I did not expect to be served like this. Rather served. Because having to pay extra to see your bottle of wine opened, luckily there is no charge for hello in this restaurant.
Amazing authentic Greek food! The restaurant is really nicely decorated and the staff is super nice. The lamb was really good!
Great atmosphere on the ground floor, a bit cramped in the basement. Well done Greek style decor throughout. Waitstaff was very good; friendly, knew the menu and attentive. Some a bit overeager to clear unfinished plates. Front desk host seemed uninterested; just waved me over to our reserved table. Greek salad, roasted vegetables, grilled mushrooms were excellent. Saganaki was average, spanikopita was soggy, fried calamari oily and over battered, grilled swordfish was overdone and dry. Lamb was very good.
Absolutely amazing food & staff! True gem
Mediocre overall. Excessive salt in meals. Service poor. Atmosphere was stereotypical Greek.
What a disappointment ; food and service both, especially the service which was the worst.
I do not definitely recommend this restaurant. Probably the worst service for a mediocre and overpriced meal I have ever had in a restaurant. We had a reservation for 16 people for the new year eve. The staff did not look friendly at all. The big guy serving us was very rude and annoying. I am really surprised how they have got so many 5 starts ratings
My favorite Greek Resto in Montréal, its bring your own wine, top service and mega high quality food, must visit
Good food, less than pleasant service. 1-not once water refill 2-didnt offer coffee or dessert 3-never came by once to ask if everything was OK with food 4- dirty plates never removed. 5- Xmas eve remind you. Parking: Lots of parking near-by
Lively atmosphere (quite loud), great for a party. Not recommended for a quiet dinner, or date.
Comfort food and great service.
Great food! Amazing service! Thank-you to all the staff especially Tasso for being such a pleasure.
Good food and service Love their food Food
Went with a friend last week and both agreed that it was a very good experience! Food was tasty, the quantity were large; service was efficient and friendly, the restaurant itself has a pleasant decor with a pleasant ambiance and the prices are fair! I do recommend this place!
We were celebrating a private event in the private room. Everything was amazing. The planning process with the manger and the kind, funny waitress that was with us the whole evening. Big thank you to all the stuff. We had a perfect evening. Highly recommend
Excelet food, ideal place for a nice party. Very well located as well
The food was tasty however the service was lackadaisical. When I go to a restaurant, I like to feel like the staff wants me to enjoy the meal. I didnt get that impression this time, nor the last time I went.
The food and service were fantastic. We were there for a friend s birthday and the server made sure she was well celebrated which was really appreciated. A little pricy (although we were aware of this ahead of time as we checked the menu) but it was great quality food for the price and the portions were certainly fair. My only negative points are the fact they charge a $5 un-corking/recycling fee for the BYOB, and there s a note on the menu that each customer has to order a main or at least two starters (which I hadn t seen something like this before). All in all, really recommend the meat platter, pikilia dip plate and the zucchini chips.
Amazing lamb chops and appetizers
Went on a Monday for a meeting, and I cant believe I never went to this restaurant before. It was absolutely amazing from the food, service and look of the place! Prices are in the high range but everything was so delicious so totally worth it. My swordfish was cooked to perfection. Great job guys...definitely be back!
Delicious!
The food was very fresh and delicious with nice staff! I highly recommend this place for parties Recommended dishes
0 stars If you want to eat cold food, waste money and be ignored all night this is the place to be.
Table of 5 for a special occasion. The potatoes and rice were cold on each of our plates. I was the only one who politely asked to have it warmed up. After I was given back my plate, the waiter never returned. Not to ask if everything is all right, not for water or bread or to see if we wanted anything else. Not to clear the dishes or even bring the bill. I tried to make eye contact each time he served the table to the right or left, NOTHING, we no longer existed. I asked for the manager but Tasso was not a manager. Still no eye contact or apology. His response to the situation was why should he apologize he did nothing wrong. I was shaking thinking what did they do to my plate if they could treat me this way. I have NEVER had such a negative experience. I wouldnt go back even if it was free. The food is over priced and the staffs ego over inflated. Petros gives restaurants a bad name.
Delicious and they also offered us dessert, lovely!
AMAZING experience! Food was fresh and flavorful, staff were great- big shout out to Lorenzo, Gennaro & Costa, for taking care of us. Would highly recommend to anyone & we will be back (very) soon!
Great place, food is very authentic and tastes even better
Such fantastic food! The mushrooms were probably the best mushrooms I ve ever eaten. Definitely a place to check out!
we couldn t wait to try out petros! Was a long time and what a disappointment way over priced for what we got, cold, over salted soaked in salt type stale potatoes, super bland tiny piece of broccoli no seasoning nothing! half a cut red pepper and the rice super over cooked, no taste again worst than 1 minute rice.. the cod tasted only of oil, again no seasoning. Grilled octopus/ fried zucchini(drenched in oil) very meh Only thing that was good was the bread i know prices went up in general but this is ridiculous was expecting wayyyyy better quality! it s byow so I m Assuming they boost the price because even places like arahova or villa du souvlaki as example which are fast food is 10 times better.. you want authentic Greek good food stick to places like Tripoli & Panama.. and to top off the night..we vomited once we got home!
We were pleases with the food and the service. It is not inexpensive but it is worth the price.
Excellent restaurant food was very very good!! Restaurant had an amazing vibe to it while it was jam packed! Recommended dishes
Very good
Decent food, nothing more We were down like a cellar Extremely expensive Very average service
Great food! Amazing service!
Great restaurant for friends gatherings and celebrations! Food was amazing and the amount was reasonable but maybe after covid, the amount got shortened. I was able to eat more. Other than that, it is a nice place (a bit far from the Metro) but its a BYOW so, it was worth it.
A really so, so, restaurant from all points of view. The decor with some blue and white theme is nothing to for shout about. Service is... Being ignored. 2 parties of dinners (unknown to us) and us were waiting at the door to be seated. The waiters saw us but ignored all of us and continued i dont know what they were doing. It took about (literally) 3 to 4 minutes before one of them to eventually decide to come and sit us down. Then, he went back to his discussion with the others waiters. The food ... The fish is a Dorade, it must have been frozen defrosted refrozen and defrosted before grilling it for us. Need i say more? All in, a lousy experience.
Nice gemista!
Amazing place
Food is awesome...authentic Greek...ambiance is magnificent and makes you feel like youre in a tavern in Greece...ask for Taso hell take care of you.
Made an online reservation 4 hours in advance. We were 3 and they made us to sit on one single table. It was very tight the entire time, and my friend and I ended up even dropping some food because there was no space. It was a Monday not so busy night but nobody bothered to make a bit more room for us. Nevertheless, servers communication was excellent though few times we had to make an effort to get their attention to order some soft drinks and water. Hands down, BEST GREEK FOOD. We had fried zucchini with tzatziki, octopus, Greek salad with lots of feta, fish, chicken with vegetables and rice. Everything was fresh, smells great, so light. Its a bit pricy but believe me, the food quantity and quality, worth every penny. 9.75/10 only because of a bit lazy service.
This Greek restaurant is a gem! The Saganaki was rich and flavorful, and the Tzatziki was the best Ive ever had. The ambiance felt authentically Hellenic. A must-visit for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine. Highly recommended!
A must place to go 100%
Delicious and fresh food, beautiful ambiance. Worth the splurge, especially since its a boyw
Great service and delicious food!
Exquisite Greek food. I felt like I was in Greece! The fish was tender....fresh....and perfectly cooked. The salad was devine...just a bit salty! Great service too! Vegetarian options: The zucchini chips!! The spanakopita and I tried the yogurt with oil! Delicious
Delicious food and friendly staff. For sure we will go again Food
I regularly order here on ubereats as it is one of the few places in the area open late night and the food is consistently great
Great bring your own wine restaurant. Make sure to call and reserve and ask to be on the main floor and not basement !
Our group had a great time.
What a great restaurant!! supper is always amazing!!! , food is delicious and fresh , and the service is wonderful. The beet salad , petros special, greek salad and grilled vegetables are a wonderful starters. Generous portions with great flavors, if you have room for main dishes, the salmon , shrimp ,chicken, and seabass are all good choices, Keep up the good job Vegetarian options: Great choices of vegetarian dishes, grilled vegetables, spreads , salad , fish , seafood and more....
Lovely setting and good Greek food. We reserved for a Tuesday evening and the outdoor terrace was full by 7pm so we were happy to get a spot on the terrace. Service was prompt. BYOW. Food : 4/5
Generous portions. Loved the zucchini chips. The moussaka is one of the best Ive ever tasted.
Food
Really good
Very good cuisine!
Great place perfect for family gatherings. The service is very professional and friendly.
Love the food and the staff at Petros. I love the flaming saganaki cheese, tzaziki, and greek salad. Octopus appetizer is great. For main I enjoy lobster pasta, or fish. My only complaint is that when sitting inside the atmosphere is very loud.
We had a very good meal at Petros! Service was excellent, prompt and courteous. The fried Calamari and sauce were very delicious but but just a little more greasy taste than my favorite elsewhere. The Moussaka was very good, and the Greek salad was also. But there was only l thin small slice of Feta in the salad! The coffee was great. A tiny dessert was included in the price (small size but but mighty tasty) after the quite large meal. The service was prompt and courteous, and the price was maybe a little high, but overall, I would definitely recommend this place.
Not many vegan options, but the ones they have are excellent. The bonus bread and olive oil are also very nice. Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian gemista, which was actually vegan. And for starters we shared fava and skordalia spreads. It was hearty and delicious.
Pricey
Their menu is yummy. Try their grilled oyster mushrooms and their Greek salad! Flavourful food. Nice terrace too. On the pricy side. Food : 5/5 |
it wasnt bad
Excellent food and service. Somewhat noisy...not for a quiet romantic dinner. Outside seating, when available, expect to be much quieter.
Ambiance
I must place to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine. Its like being in Greece.
Very very noisy you can barely talk to the person in front of you! Very ordinary food, the vegetables served not hot I would even say cold! Suggested tips starting at 18% very exaggerated! I do not recommend!
We reserved at this location based on a personal outstanding review of their Griffintown location and were so very disappointed. Location is incredibly noisy, so much so, you could barley hear the waiter and others at our table. Calamari was excellent, but that was the only positive part of the experience. All meals arrived fairly quickly, but only the protein part of the meal (meat or fish) was hot, the rest of the plate was warm at best. I would not consider the service friendly my any means and do not recommend this location.
The service is great, very kind, and professional. Its old school style (all man waiter). The food is good, calamari, shrimps, potatoes, veggies, salad. I had the tomahak pork chop. The piece was very nice. I asked medium buy it was well done so i was disappointed. BYOW is great I felt the 5$ charge to uncorked and recycling is a bit excessive. Maybe you can uncorked at home and bring back your bottle to save the fee...
Petros Westmount is undoubtedly a standout dining destination in the heart of Westmount, Montreal. With a warm and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant offers an impressive culinary experience that, in my opinion, deserves a solid four out of five stars. What sets Petros apart is its commitment to delivering delectable Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted with a charming ambiance that combines modern elegance with a touch of traditional Greek decor. Its the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The menu at Petros Westmount is a true culinary delight. With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic flavors, every dish feels like a journey through the Mediterranean. The selection of appetizers, from crispy calamari to savory spanakopita, is a testament to the chefs dedication to quality. One of the standout features of Petros is its seafood offerings. The grilled octopus is a must-try, tender and bursting with flavor. The fish options are equally impressive, with choices like the whole sea bass cooked to perfection. Service at Petros Westmount is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection, which enhances the meal even further. While the overall experience at Petros Westmount is exceptional, there is room for improvement, which is why I rated it four stars instead of five. The pricing can be on the higher side, so it may not be an everyday dining option for everyone. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant can be quite high during peak hours, making it a bit challenging for intimate conversations. In conclusion, Petros Westmount is a fantastic choice for Mediterranean cuisine lovers. Its delectable dishes, charming atmosphere, and attentive service make it a dining experience worth savoring. While there are minor drawbacks to consider, the overall quality of the food and ambiance make this restaurant a solid four-star destination for a memorable meal.
Very expensive restaurant for the food recieved. Very loud restaurant. We couldn t even hear each other talk. It took 2 minutes from the moment that we order the entrees and the moment we got them. The plate are pre made. And food was over cooked. Very disappointing experience overall. 250$ for two people with no drinks and no desserts. Way over priced
I love the atmosphere and the decor. This may sound weird, but the plates are some of the prettiest Ive ever seen in a resto. Food wise, I enjoyed the appetizers more than my main course (the steak, which I found a little fatty, tbh). The calamari, the dips, and the meat platters are all worth it. FYI, the menu is incorrect - the steak does not come with potatoes and veggies as claimed, but rather, it comes with a side of fries.
Bring your own wine ! Should have realized that before my bad ! This place is always full, the food is good, and the service is awesome ! It s a little bit of Greece here in Westmount. Food
Ordered moussaka, lamb chops and Greek salad. However , I didn t receive my green salad .
Excellent food great service quite expensive
Starters good, main course food disappointing and uninteresting. Lack of flavor, lukewarm dish, expensive for the quality offered. there is definitely better in town.
Entrées were good. But the mains were reheated, low quality ingredients, over salted downright bad. The floors were visibly dirty and sticky. The wait staff was rude. Not to mention the place is ridiculously expensive. Do yourself a favor, just dont go.
We attended a large family function and the food was plentiful and delicious. This is a goto place for locals and we were happy to have tried it out. Vegetarian options: Lots of veg options Kid-friendliness: A family-friendly atmosphere.
Restaurant with Greek decoration, good service. The salmon was overcooked. The rice was hard. The lamb chops are good and tender. Bring your own wine. Street parking, no Wi-Fi. Im glad I tried the restaurant. Will I come back? Maybe. Prices are slightly high for my taste.
Excellent food and service, like being in Greece. The only caveat to ote is that it is quite pricy for a full meal with wine.
Best lamb chops. Tender, thick, no fat, grilled to perfection. Noisy atmosphere
They treated my friend and me like waste of time by rushing us to order and when we were talking about to order or think of order desert they just rushed to give bill to kick us out this is not a fair treatment it s disgusting and so disrespectful and under no exceptions I will not delete this review so people know how disgusting this waitress and employees are by rushing I don t care about others wants to come I seat and they almost kicking me out by rushing the bill for me this is so rude I will report this restaurant for unreasonable high price like 4$ for cooks and 50$ lamb chops this is not right I will teach lesson to this restaurant
First time at Petros but it wont be the last! Delicious food and attentive service. Thank you to Lorenzo for taking good care of us during our staff Christmas party.
The food here was excellent. Many people in our group ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked very well. The fried zucchini and calamari were also very good. My group went to Petros for our team holiday dinner. When we were seated we specifically mentioned to the waiter who showed us our table that everything would be on separate bills. When our waiter came to take our orders, he insisted on bringing platters of appetizers to our table instead of taking everyones individual order. Luckily, they were dishes that we all liked and wanted. The fried zucchini and calamari were very good, however, when it came time to get the bills he seemed baffled that we all wanted separate bills, and asked us how the appetizers were supposed to work. We all ended up splitting the appetizers, but it was frustrating. Especially considering we specifically said that we wanted separate bills from the start. Our waiter was very good, and when I said I wanted my lamb chops medium rare, he advised that it was better to take them medium, as the kitchen had a tendency to under cook them. And he was absolutely correct. I ordered them medium and they were cooked exactly to my liking. But as nice as our waiter was, I would have appreciated him listening more to our group so we could have avoided the confusion when it came time to pay the bills. I would never want a waiter to become a customer service robot, but he could have listened to our group more, rather than assume what was happening.
Went for my companies holiday party. Great atmosphere, tons of food. Highly recommend!
Great place! Had a work holiday party at this restaurant and it was great! The experience was incredible and the atmosphere was warm, comfortable, and friendly. The welcoming and accommodating staff and the delicious, fresh food mix with incredible company made the perfect evening.
Great food and ambience
A lot of main dishes are 59$ per person (cheapest is 30). So appetizers plus main plus tax plus tip and you re looking at well over $100 per person. But this is Westmount, so maybe that s normal. for me that s about twice what I d pay to eat almost everywhere else.
The dishes are very expensive and tasteless. The servers are OK but dont take the time to answer questions. Frankly, there are better options at this price with added quality. Quite disappointed
Very good food! Excellent grilled calamari, octopus, excellent service
There are a lot of mosquitoes eating on the terrace at night. Its not good enough for such a high price.
Delicious food! Very good quality.
Great food, reasonable price and BYOW.. what can we ask more?
Great service and delicious food!
Food was excellent . The lamb was cooked perfectly. Service was very good as you would expect with a higher level restaurant as this.
Amazing food and amazing service.
I really like Sea bass fish. I think they do it well and it tastes good The beet salad is really good and hearty The space is nice and there are plenty of places for people I had discovered it on Ubereat and wanted to go see it in person The price is quite high, thats what discourages
Great food and amazing service! Highly recommended!
Mediocre! I have never had such a poor experience. In fact, no experience at all. The waiter just wasnt serving. He was talking loudly with colleagues at another table, was on his cell phone and was drinking wine while standing. I never saw that ! He never came back to serve us water, we poured our own wine from start to finish and whats more, the Greek chicken was not Greek chicken at all. It was lacquered and dry. This was not our first time at this location, so we are in a very good position to compare. A poor experience all round. Service and food. And whats more, the prices are excessively expensive for what you get. We notified the person at reception so that they could pass the message on to the owner. She didnt seem surprised at all. Finally, we were there to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary and we mentioned that. We are not old complainers. This is the first time in my life that I have left a comment following an experience. However, the waiter was so bad on top of the food and the high price that enough is enough. We must not take ourselves for caves and hope that we will continue to encourage mediocrity. To the boss of the place, if you want to keep your customers, change things!
If you want some great greek food , this is one of the places to go! Great service and lovely decor
The food and service were excellent! I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Impolite people
Horrible experience. Honestly, Ive rarely had such a bad restaurant experience. Firstly, the service, if you can call it service, was practically non-existent. Then what about the food. We took the chicken plate at $27 which is the cheapest dish. Let me describe the plate to you: A Greek chicken breast which was passable, Uncle Bens chicken rice, beans and carrots (the worst side vegetables, we agree) and what about the potatoes who taste vinegar. To finish, the dish is bathed in cheap olive oil. In short, dont worry, Ive had better experiences in Greek fast food for a fraction of the price...
Excellent Greek food. Great service. Really good coffee
The food was fantastic. Be advised it is BYOB only.
Amazing food and service!
Amazing Food and excellent service BYOB
First time coming to Petros and it did not disappoint. We were a group of 8 and shared a bunch of appetizers and salads, then a sample of all the desserts. Absolutely delicious. Calmar, grilled octopus ... yummmm Must go! Though it is not cheap - best to go with the intention to share family style. And dont forget to BYOW!
I went as a group of four. For the price, we were all quite disappointed. Mainly, we found the food very salty. I m not sure if this is how it s normally seasoned, but it was borderline inedible, particularly the potatoes. I ordered the pork chop, and found it to be underwhelming as it was dry. Now it was fine but for the premium price they charge you expect much better. For similar prices there are places nearby that have a better offering. Perhaps we caught them on an off night since they generally have positive reviews.
Great place to make a birthday party or just have lunch. The staff is really professional and friendly. The food was really good and you can bring your own wine. Food : 4/5
Everything wonderful
Very good !
Enjoy traditional Greek cuisine, and bring your own Wine without corking fees . Enjoy Opa!
Adorable restaurant, lovely decor. It feels like you re in Greece! The food was excellent. The service was good. It is quite expensive. It is accomodating for groups. Reservations are suggested.
Really good food and nice dining experience. One negative is they do charge a cooking fee if you bring your own wine, definitely a surprise for Montreal.
Prices were much too high for the quality of the food served, the service was adequate though. I wouldnt go back of recommend to à friend.
