1359 Ave Greene, Westmount, Quebec H3Z 2A9, Canada
This location opened in 2018 after the greatly successful Saint sushi in the Plateau. Saint is a local favorite serving fusion sushi in a young and vibrant atmosphere giving tribute to musical icons with its menu, playlist, and vibe altogether. Tasting and listening to everything from Tupac to Madonna.
I love going to Saint Sushi on Duluth. However, this weekend, I was not able to get a table reserved at the Duluth branch so I booked the Westmount one. Everything was a little less awesome here - food, service, atmosphere. I will have to go back to Duluth to get my share of Saint Sushi vibes.
Amazing Sushi 🍣 and drinks! Very friendly staff... Nicely decorated. Will be coming back. 😊
There are far better sushi places in Montreal. The food quality is average at best. Their sushi are no better than what you can get at Sushi Sama. Pretty restaurant though.
It was our first time here. Our server was great! She knew her menu, made suggestions, was fun and responsive. The sushi was original, fresh and copious. The place didn't look like a traditional sushi place and it had loads of cool vibe going on. The hanging plants and vintage fixtures were a nice combo. Check this place out!
I'd heard a lot about St sushi in plateau but living in Westmount, I chose to try its branch on Greene Ave. First if all I liked the design which has the combination of all cultures from Indian status here and there to Europe items, American menu and Japanese sushi. They've changed the menu to Hollywood version, naming each dish after a singer. As an example, we ordered "Micheal Jackson" and a dish which you can see in the pictures including different types of sushi, like "Madonna". At first, we had a soup that I didn't really enjoy. It was chicken soup liquid with salad. Maybe I am not used to this kind of cuisine. I highly recommend this starter made with salmon and apple, which has a juicy fresh taste😊. All in all, food quality was satisfying.
Great place! This sushi place has a vibe and everything is so delicious. I went there with my friends, they showed me this place. We did a tasting menu. The tasting menu includes: 2 pcs sashimi and apples, 2 "Christmas trees", and 14 pcs maki of different kinds 2 each. It was amazing, my favorite was "Christmas trees" one was salmon and another one with lobster. I love the lobster one the most. I recommend this place.
Back in June 2022, my partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner. This restaurant was recommended by a friend and reading the overall positive reviews, we had expectations that it would be good food that is worth the cost. Sushi is one of our favorites to eat on special occasions so we have had our share of excellent sushi. We ordered on of the combos (I forgot which one it was called) as well as a 12 piece Sashimi Plate. First dish was the salmon with julienned green apples and the salmon was fishy in taste; the apple was an interesting combo but overall pretty average. Second came the "Christmas trees" which I describe as a really salty and greasy chopped up fish mixture on a Good Thins Rice Cracker. At this point, we were not really impressed. Next came a nicely plated sashimi platter which we were really excited about because it is really hard to mess up good quality fish. Our first piece was this white fish with the skin on it (wasn't sure what fish it was) and I think because it was a thicker slice, it made the skin very chewy. But this was not the worst part; we proceeded with the other sashimis when I came across a bone as I was chewing. I was shocked to say the least because these bones are very hard and thick so I would have easily punctured my mouth. I immediately called the server over and showed her. She apologized and says she would bring it up to the chef. We proceeded to continue with the rest and my partner found ANOTHER bone. I called the server again and she apologized again. I wish this was the end of bones in our food but then we found our THIRD BONE. I was honestly embarrassed for them as this was an obvious display of their lack of attention to detail when preparing fish (my parents grew up running a sushi business so you always run your fingers across a fillet of fish to feel for bones. Even if you miss picking out a bone with the fish tweezers, you will feel the impact of the bone as your are slicing the fish). The server came back to notify us that the sashimi plate would be free of charge. We were just getting fed up at this point and then came the last plate which was an assortment of sushi rolls and they were mediocre; I mean the rolls had big pieces of lettuce and lots of cucumber as a filler ingredient. It just watered down the flavor of the fish. Now we were able to see that this restaurant was popular as the room was quickly getting full throughout the evening. So I am happy that the business seems to be doing well and this food caters to a certain crowds' palate. I just don't what happened to our dining experience. Was it just a bad day and we got the bad apple of the lot? I don't generally write a lot reviews on restaurants, especially negative ones. But I had to be transparent and share my experience. Go try it out if you're curious, but I would not recommend this place. There are other small sushi businesses in Montreal that offer fresh sushi at a reasonable price, and best of all, NO BONES :)
Delicious, fresh and beautiful sushi. I called and placed a big order during pandemic in mid December. The location on westmount is gorgeous and seemed very busy and organized. The sushi was excellent quality and very flavorful. Very unique names and combination of flavors, loved the whole experience and I am glad I finally tried their sushi.
Overall, I was really disappointed with this spot. There was barely any reservations left on the website but the restaurant was empty. It took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me when I walked in (it wasnt clear whether to sit down anymore). The restaurant was freezing, the service was quite slow overall, and the food was disappointing for the prices they charge for sushi (shrimp tempura werent crispy, undercooked chicken karaage, sushi falling apart). Honestly wouldnt recommend this spot to a friend.
One of the Best sushi in Montreal I recommend it to you
Wow Holy that was good. Little birthday party for a friend, we ate and drank so well. The dishes were impeccable (wink to the diver) and incredible service with Ali and the one with a Greek first name!! Loved the spicy side of the Jalapano Margarita and this delectable sake with its fruity taste. the thickness of the sashimi and nigiri fish was very generous.
Great place to eat sushi. Very nice looking resto and food was awesome. Nothing to complain about
Home zero sushi also unfortunately I did not find zero stars for the ratings
Went there for my birthday last night. Waitress was particularly cold and unwelcoming. All my guest felt like we are disturbing by being in the restaurant. (We had one napkin each and wanted more. No one would ever come to our table). We were almost the only customers. Her behaviour and attitude was very problematic and I have never experienced that before. We expressed our feeling when came to moment to pay and she gave a very sarcastic answer. Service took forever and ever. I m sorry but 3 services in 3 hours? Will never come back and quite upset I picked this restaurant for my guests.
Incredible experience. Fresh sushi. The Mickael Jackson is outnof this world. The coconut ice cream for desert was soo good as well.
I just want to start by talking about how amazing our server EULICE was . He s the one that made the whole experience amazing. We went there on May 6 to the Westmount location for a friends birthday. Eulice is the most perfect employee any establishment could ever have(no I m not exaggerating). He was very knowledgeable of the menu, was so nice to my son that made a huge mess and on top of that Eulice wouldn t let me clean up after my son at the end he insisted that he would do it himself. His service is just out of this world. Everytime he would bring something to the table he would play with my son. Everytime my son would drop something he would help picking up the toys or even rinsing his bottle. I ve never been anywhere where the workers were so nice and so playful with my son. The overall experience was just amazing all of this because of the food. He recommended a special menu for myself as I cannot eat raw fish. Thank you Eulice !!!
Celebrated my birthday there last night and just had a great time. We were so well taken care of, the cocktails were on point and the sushi was delicious. Chill vibe with great service. Thank you so very much
Lovely atmosphere and really friendly knowleagable staff. We chose this place bc of its gluten free options and our entire group of sushi lovers was happy w the food and the coconut sorbet.
We were looking for a quick bite of sushi while in Westmount and decided to try Saint Sushi, which we hadnt visited in a number of years. The decor of the restaurant is quite pleasant, following a long narrow path of banquet seating on one side and a lush bar on the opposite side; it provided a nice respite from a cold winter night. For our meal we opted for the Miso Soup (very good), the Chef Salad (not very good...it had a strange fishy flavor that I consider inconsistent with a regular green salad), Salmon and Tune Nigiri Sushi (they were OK), the Prince Maki and Madonna Maki rolls (both of which were also just OK...again, with some strange flavorings that did not sit well). Additionally, while the servicer herself was very good it took a surprisingly long time for us to get our food even though the restaurant was virtually empty. Enjoy!
loved it. music was nice. great waitress . nice staff.
A little pricey but everything is delicious! Thank you for the quality food and excellent service.
Valentine s Day ruined !!! We were seated next to the front door, freezing cold, and they declined to move us to any of the free tables. We were surrounded by half a dozen Uber eats drivers standing around our tables ??? If you re too busy, stop taking delivery orders !!!! The service was slow and our drinks were not delivered right after our order. We asked to leave early and cancel the rest out our order.
I dont recommend this place at all; although the food quality is good, the service is terrible, youre going to sit with no food on your table for an hour and a half and then orders will come in a very slow pace
The impeccable service, fresh and delicious fish, an invitation to go to this restaurant, best sushi of my life, well done to everyone
Confused because there are so many positive reviews but I have to disagree. The service was very good and friendly but thats where it ends and the rest is downhill. The music is WAY too loud and just not the appropriate type of music for a sushi restaurant. The food is completely mediocre at best and not worthy of anything over 3 stars especially if you have enjoyed sushi in other international cities equivalent to Montreal. I rarely give negative reviews but felt particularly motivated to for this place.
Went yesterday for dinner with my bestie. Food was amazing and the presentation impeccable. Our waitress was super kind and had really good recommandations. They have nice substitutes for non alcoholic beverages. Music was good. *If your ears are sensitive to loud music, I wouldnt recommend you to go late at night -- but WE LOVED IT, it makes you want to move, puts on a festive & nice ambiance + we caught a couple of good songs with Shazam to add to our playlists. I recommend x100
Best sushi always fresh top service
Great food for great price/ quality. And, the restaurant was very cozy.
The sushi was very average, considering the price I was expecting way better.
Best sushi in town!!! And Rose took good care of us with her cheerful attitude and attention to details! Thank you guys, good job
Fairly good, especially the sushi pizza, which took us by surprise. Just a little expensive for what you get. I ve had wayyyyy fresher fish and rice at much cheaper à la carte sushi places.
Delicious cocktails, excellent service, great music and most importantly the best sushi in town! I dont say it lightly because I have tried a lot of sushi in Montréal and this one is honestly the best. My family has been going to Saint Sushi since before they opened the Westmount location. Both locations are equally excellent while the one in Westmount is a bigger restaurant and has a great bar. If you want to try their cocktails definitely visit this location. Vegetarian options: They are extremely flexible with their menu and they will ask you of you have any food restrictions when you order Dietary restrictions: They will make sure to respect any food restrictions Parking: Relatively easy to park on the street Kid-friendliness: They make sure to accommodate children. When I had supper there qwas a family next to our table with 5 children. Wheelchair accessibility: Small stair at the entrance, otherwise veru accesible.
Awesome sushi. Cant wait to try it again next time I come to Montreal. Nice atmosphere and absurdly friendly staff. Love them.
Please do not go to this restaurant unless you have money to burn and time to waste , Below Average sushi for a rip off price. It takes 30 minutes or more to serve a dish. Highly disappointed.
The food is very good! but the service is not really good! my husband was waiting a lot of time for his plate and finally we asked for the his food and they forgot and said sorry the chef was to start but to late!!!
The food was not bad per se but it was definitely overpriced for the quality of food received.
The food is outstanding, and the staff is great. I highly recommend it.
Great sushi. Poor service.
This place (and the original spot on Duluth) used to be my favourite. Like everywhere else, prices have risen since the start of the pandemic, but I was disappointed to find the quality has declined sharply too. Sadly, we probably won t be back. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free preparation can be requested at the beginning or end of service and hasn t caused any issues over several visits.
Best sushi in Montreal
We went there on a date night with my husband. We ask the waiter if the degustation menu can be shared. We thought he understood our question and he said yes we can share the plate. The sashimi with the apples were very good. After came the trees tartare, it was good but salty. Then came the makis pieces. To be honest it felt like exactly the same thing over and over again. The filling was quite intense, we did not finish and had to take the rest home. Finally I was really shocked when I received the bill because we wanted to have a dégustations menu for two and we were charged double because apparently if you want the degustation menu for 2, they charge double instead of sharing one menu. So we ended up paying 106$. Too expensive for what it was. Very sorry because I was really excited to go there.
Best service in Montreal! The sushi is fresh. The servers know their menu and give us the details of the dishes during the reception. Thank you for this beautiful evening!
Tupac sushi!!!! Represent
Service is the downfall of this restaurant the drinks and atmosphere are great. Food wise its hit or miss unfortunately and if service is important to you as much is for me this might not be the place for you they needs to step it up. I recommend drinks at the bar for a date night
Good sushi
Avoid on Sunday evening. Empty restaurant. Despite the goodwill of the waitress we felt rushed to order. The staff couldn t wait to Closer. When we ordered more sushi, we were told that the kitchen was closed. (8:15 p.m.). The sushi we ate was good but nothing more for the price.
One of my favourite spots for sushi, with great service and lovely servers, highly recommended
It was my third time in a saint sushi spot since the last one in st-denis a few years ago and the experience is still as good. We took the tasting menu for 53$ that had about 14 pieces which were all great. The ingredients used are of good quality and the quantity used is excellent as well. The spot was well located and service was fair! This was my third time at a Saint Sushi since the last one in St-Denis a few years ago and the experience is still just as pleasant. We had the tasting menu for $53 which had about 14 pieces which were all excellent. The ingredients used are of good quality and the portion used is also excellent. The place was well located and the service was good!
Sushi is good Place is nice but very very loud Service attentive Drinks are strong Food : 4/5 |
Very nice place and excellent sushi choices, I highly recommend!
Yummmiiiii
Probably the best sushi in town. Be prepared to pay for it though. Dinner for two with drinks will run around $250.
Great tasting food and presentation. But, slow service and multiple errors in the order including delivering our order to the wrong table.
The food was delicious but the service was terrible! We were a group of 6 and the food wasn t served at the same time. My friend got her food when I finished my plate. It took 1 hour to get a cocktail and a beer. The waitress wouldn t even clean our table, I had to pick up the glasses and put them on the bar and she gave me a dirty look when I did that .she didn t pick up the plates. I would ve been more understanding had it been busy, but it wasn t! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! Even if the food was delicious, it s NOT worth the 3 hour wait and horrible attitude from the waitress.
Food is overpriced and not worth it. 1 hour wait to get 1 cocktail and beer. Not worth the hype, do NOT go there.
We eat very well
Average, was expecting better food experience and quality for the price ($$!) Better experience at other places Was not impressed with their sushi honestly.
Not the best to be honest. Basic sushi, nothing extraordinary. Pieces were a bit too big and lacked the taste of the fish. Mocktails not good but pretty lol Servers are nice though.
I went there on July 31 for a family dinner and food is great .
Unfortunately the quality has declined a lot...
Loved everything about this place ! Great service and delicious original sushis! Must go if you visit Montreal!
My go to sushi place. Always take the degustation option. Xmas tree are to die for!
Amazing food Bianca the bartender was very good Ill go again
Dont hesitate, its: Delicious! A great culinary discovery, the sushi are truly perfect, off the beaten track of sushi shops and others! The place is nicely decorated and the service is very pleasant!
The best sushi in Westmount & the staff are professional and friendly. I recommend it you will not be disappointed!!
Best sushi place I have ever been to! we got the tasting menu, the food was very very good! The place a very good vibe: the staff, the music, the lights, the decoration are just perfect. We come to celebrate our friends birthday! They made us chose the playlist of music to play during the event! A must visit! Really!!
The food, the decor, the music, the staff one of the best dining experiences. We got the tasting menu and were absolutly amazed by every plate. Christmas trees are to die for. The staff were very nice and welcoming. 10000/10 just for the staff!
We were visiting for the first time today and we were amazed by the quality of the food. Definitely would recommend and go back. Fresh, tasty, savoury, unique and nice portions. Amazing first experience. Staff friendly.
Expensive but great food, atmosphere and service. I dont understand why anybody would have sushi pizza more than once, but there traditional sushi was very good.
A beautiful place with excellent service. The sushi roll was fairly good and the hamachi nigiri was delicious. But it was PRICY and the menu was quite limited in choice.
Waitress was great, really accommodative. Food was decent, we liked 1/3 ordered items, only sushi I liked was the Michael Jackson, rest I didn t like. Didn t realize it was a fusion joint. Beers we crisp cold.
Delicious spot. Pricy but so worth it. I have dreams of that Christmas tree dish at night, it s so delicious.
Great sushi, super friendly service. Coming here is a treat
As good as the Duluth location, which is already legendary.
Very good!
excellent sushi, the music and ambiance is Fun too ,
Very good sushi s, but quite pricey. But after having eaten a few of their sushi s, the filling inside the sushis felt like they were all the same.
Absolutely delicious. The shrimp tempura is legit to die for. The sashimi and apple starter is suuuuch an interesting interplay on the palette. Extremely cool interior deco, and they had some clothing merch on display which I was THIS close to buying! My one gripe is it took ages for us to get our food and I wasn t quite sure which person was our actual dedicated server.
Love their staff, love their music and love their food! The place is really nice. More space then the other one.
best sushi !!
Solid sushi place, and consistent with the location on the plateau. Good ambiance and friendly and attentive staff. If you are looking for fresh, good quality sushi, Saint sushi won t disappoint . that said, not a lot of creative variety, so if you are looking for different tastes and textures you might be disappointed (ex: the tasting menu platter, 75% was a variation of the same roll). That said, it s still delicious, fresh and well served.
Excellent freshness, playlist of . Good choice of cocktails. I recommend it to you
The decor and ambiance is good, but I dont go to the restaurant to watch and eat. The sushi really doesnt have good value for money (very expensive), they all taste the same because of that panko and yogurt sauce thing that hides everything fishy. Speaking of fish, there is very little in sushi, or the slices are very thin. The service is good, until you ask a question about the quality and taste.....then completely non-existent, no more service from anyone. When paying, we ask for the interac machine, we are told that we have to pay online, without having a choice...... luckily we have a credit card!!!. Hoooo I was not going to forget that the plate remained on the counter for about 30 minutes before we were served, and when indicating the situation, I was told that everything was fresh.... me after 30 minutes, the fish n is fresher, but considering the quantity!!!!! I in no way recommend this reataurant which distorts the sushi.
The sushi all tastes the same, their yogurt sauce and the filling too heavy even without I Rice which destroys the taste and tastes like the soft Philadelphia forming with pollock, extremely salty soup and tasting menu to never order the sashimi starter tasted the vinegar and the pieces of sashimi are a thickness of tissue paper 1 thickness very disappointed and what can I say about the service that when you ask a question you dont get any answer that inspires confidence. The descriptions mention mother fruits of the chefs choice but the choices chosen and the mixtures are not well arranged. Total disappointment. Menu to share for 2 listed on the menu at 44 dollars and waitress mentions to take it twice because not enough for 2 so not really menu to share ultimately it is the price per person for literally 8 pieces of sushi and 2 starters or 2 slim Sashimi 1 cone Christmas has the same stuffing side!
Recently dined her with some girlfriends. We ordered tasting menu and a bottle of wine. Honestly, everything was perfect. The food was perfectly seasoned, fresh and creative. Our server was super polite and patient with us chatting ladies. The space is beautiful and welcoming. I would highly recommend Saint Sushi in Westmount, the food, wine and service was all excellent.
This is a restaurant where you feel hooked to its food and its staff. Nowhere in Montreal did I have a palate satisfaction such as what I get at Saint. It is just different. We have to visit at least every three weeks. I miss it and I feel the urge to have their majestic food. I love the staff and the ambiance.
Very good funky sushi
This is a good place to go for people who dont like traditional sushi. Everything is seasoned to be quite tasty and approachable, which covers much of the actual fish flavor. At the same time, I found things overly-seasoned -like the Christmas trees. And the flavours are quite similar for much of their menu. Their makis also tend to have same-ish textures with that pasty filling everywhere. Overall, avoid if you want and are expecting real sushi. If youre looking for a first sushi experience or if you dont like typical sushi, its not a bad place to try.
Good sushi. Unagi was outstanding. Fun vibe for a good date night.
One of the best sushi restaurants in Montreal. Must be tried. Not your typical sushi. Excellent vibe, great music, welcoming staff, and consistently good food quality. I always take the menu degustation, which is basically the chefs choice and it never disappoints.
Delicious sushi, fine service, friendly people.
Best sushi Ive tasted in a while! The decor is charming and the music is not too loud. The menu is original. The service is also excellent.
3.5 stars. Tasty but a bit pricey for what you get.
I think this is the best sushi Ive ever had. The waitress recommended the tasting menu, and it was Divine!! It is up to the chef to decide what you will get, and everything was perfect.
Not good value for money
Honestly theres almost no rice in the rolls and it totally makes it the top sushi option in this great culinary city. Im completely starstruck every single time I order from them. Eating in the restaurant is a wonderful experience like no other, the cohesion the staff posseses is unmatched. Lolita offered a wonderful service and I cant wait to comw back and bring a group.
Such a great place for sushi! I highly recommend the chefs choice deal. You get to taste delicious food!
When I first came in I ve heard many good things about this place. To start off the drinks were absolutely incredible and the cocktail creations by the bar are immaculate! Through the first appetizer services the bites of romance were very delicious and the sashimis with apple were also really good (sauce overpowered the sashimi a little) however the 2nd service of the tasting menu we found a hamachi bone in the food. I understand it was an honest mistake and when we spoke to the waitress they handled the situation very well. Finally we had some maki as part of our tasting menu which weren t too bad but I did not like them very much. I enjoyed the appetizers much more than the maki rolls. All in all the service was top notch, the drinks and bar was some of the best I ve had, the food was average and the ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. We ordered the menu dégustation and were scared it wouldn t fill all of us up ( we were 5). It was more than enough sushi and we even had some left overs! It was delicious and high quality.
Amazing restaurant! Great food, ambiance and service! The tasting menu is phenomenal, and the staff are super friendly and helpful!
Really high quality ingredients, and really creative rolls
Great experience and a different kind of sushi then I am used too
So delicious
Another example of a restaurant down the tubes post covid. Beyond beyond beyond TERRIBLE service. Everyone s food was served at different times. Ordered a tasting menu for 5 but only received for 4. Literally counted in front of the waitress that a serving was missing and they still denied it. While half the table hasn t eaten, the staff had time to take shots and selfies behind the bar. Waiter also spilled miso soup on someone in our party. Nothing free offered as an apology. If I could give the customer service a 0 star I would. Don t waste your time or money when there are so many other good spots for sushi in the city.
Horrible experience. We got the tasting menu and they made it for 4 people instead of 5.. after counting the pieces herself, the waitress she agreed something was wrong. Went to see the chef and he kept arguing that it was fine, after a few back and forths I went to speak to him myself and he was extremely arrogant and did not care to rectify the mistake. On top of it, half the table got their food after we had finished ours.. they almost forgot some extra rolls we ordered. Overall very negative experience that could have been salvaged with some good customer service. We were there for a bday and had brought a cake, they brought our bills and never asked asked us if we wanted the cake so we just paid left and took the cake with us..
Excellent and fresh sushi! Great service and clever names for their sushi rolls
Good food and ambience but slow service.
Horrifying !!! Service and hospitality needs major improvement.
High end very pleasant sushi experience. Cocktails at the bar are very well done and the sushi freshness and taste are five stars. Highly recommended!
Amazing restaurant serving one of the best sushis i have ever had. What makes the food great here is the freshness of the ingredients as well as the finess that goes into making the food. Portions are great in size, i had the Elvis Tuna salad as well as the tasting menu I highly recommend visiting this place.
Got the tasting menu. I recommend at least three people getting it so you get a variety of rolls. It was all delicious. The Flower Power is one of my favourite cocktails now. Music was great with a lot of retro hits. Friendly, patient service. Nice decor.
Delicious! First time at their Westmount location, very cute place. Super great staff and amazing food? As always.
Delicious sushi and an amazing service!
Amazing food and great service its my new favorite sushi place
The waitress was amazing. The food was also good and very quickly served.
Fantastic vibe, great food, excellent service!
Good sushi, unique flavours and combination of ingredients! A bit overpriced
Really fantastic sushi restaurant - Im a vegetarian and the chef made especially for me one of the most delicious vegetarian sushi rolls Ive ever had. Chefs salad and miso soup were also superb. Lovely lighting and ambience, extremely friendly servers and bartenders. Great vibes all round. Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this restaurant, amazing atmosphere, great food, super friendly staff and beautiful decor and interior. If you like sushi you absolutely need to try this spot, the tasting menu is out of the world. It s a great price as well and the flavour palettes are excellent.
I have eaten sushi at some of the best places in the world and I can say with honesty that my meal was one of the best I have ever had. The combination of innovation, taste and presentation made this a truly exceptional meal. The service was excellent to top it off. Saint Sushi on Greene ave is not to be missed!
Music WAY TOO loud. We were 12 from a family to talk together: impossible. Frustrating. We asked to lower it, they lower it for 5db for 15 min and it was back... The sushi were good but it wrecked our dinner to talk.
The quality of the food was pretty awful. The beef skewers we re almost entirely made of fat. When the waitress took it back we only found out later that we were charged for them and would not be refunded. We were in and out of the restaurant in an hour. In that time our drinks had still not arrived.
A great fusion sushi place. A very good service and ambiance. We loved the music!
Great atmosphere, super fresh and amazing drinks
Great spot and good vibe. Used to go to the Duluth street location and always enjoyed the sushis. This location is no different. Had take-out and it was fresh and delicious. We love the Christmas tree sushi, both salmon and scallop versions. A great treat!
The experience was unprofessional from start to finish. Yesterday, on Valentine s Day at noon we placed an order on Saint Sushi s website for pickup at 5:30pm, and followed by contacting the restaurant on their Instagram page to confirm the order, because if for whatever reason they cancelled our order right before the pickup time, we would be stuck without dinner at all. They went ahead and guaranteed our order would go through, and I quote your order will 100% be accepted . At 4:45pm we receive an email saying our order was rejected, so I gave them a call. The man on the phone kept saying he was sorry but he has to cancel it, until I had to mention that I had drove almost an hour and a half to Montreal specifically for this pickup order, and that I had confirmed 5 hours before our pickup time with the restaurant. He suggested I come pick up the order at 7:15, which was not possible as there is a curfew in montreal and I wouldn t make it back home on time. After going back and forth with the guy, he comes back and tells me that he was sorry and that I can pick up my order at 6:15 and because of the misunderstanding he will compliment our dinner with an extra roll of Bob Marley and a bottle of Sake. It was fair, so we waited the extra 45 minutes parked outside of the restaurant. Picked up the food to find out that they charged us 10% more because they cancelled our order online and remade the order in store and we lost the 10% discount that we used. Not only that, but we get home to find out that the extra roll he promised was not included in our order at all. On another note, the sushi seemed rushed. The pieces of salmon has silver skin still on it, our order ended up costing us 115$ plus tip for something we could have gotten from a competitor at 50$. Not impressed what so ever (not with the service nor the quality). Wouldn t recommend to waste your time, not sure why the great reviews but there is much better in Montreal, especially for the price.
Super good and fresh! For two people, I took a bonnie with the salad, a clyde with the sashimi and we took a sensei Ton roll (the 6 pieces rolled in rice paper). Most rolls with the same style where the fish was mixed. You have to try the Christmas tree! On the other hand, the longer you wait before eating the rice cracker will become soft. (The drinks do not come from Saint Sushi)
Great sushi, awsome staff, affordable price for the midi menu!
We love it!! The best in town!! Try the salmon tower appetizers!!
Nice and quick service
Great food
Good sushi, but not worth their price.
Wow! A favorite!
Amazing delivery service. They made a mistake and came back super quickly and also added a gift. Very impressed! Thank you
Very inventive food, one of the most original sushi menus we have seen. Intimate setting but not too loud. Attentive staff. Convenient on Greene Avenue with free parking after 6 PM in a lot across the street. We will certainly return.
Fine dining
Great tasting sushi, amazing service must try!
The experience was a wonderful one. First of all, the sushis were delightful. The sashimis were somehow better than all others I tasted which is surprising since its the fish by itself. My favourite Maki was the Beatles, it was perfectly crafted. I loved all recommendations from the staff. The romance bites were amazing too ! I also really appreciated the staffs recommandations, perfectly placed jokes and good energy. Would recommend to anyone, hope to go there again !
Took the menu dégustation, it was delicious and very creative. Well priced. Good service & ambiance.
Omg I loved this place; I went there with some friends. The vibe is great, the staff super friendly and the Sushi fresh, amazing , simply to die for. Im definitely going back.
Went in with a couple of friends for dinner. Ordered 6 maki rolls and drinks, and the waiter did not mention any delays to us. Later we noticed that the waiter was now on the bar, so about 40 mins after ordering, we asked the host if we can expect our food to arrive soon. He did not apologize for the delay and instead said that the delay was because we didnt order any appetizers - if we order only main courses, we should expect it to take 45+ mins. He then walked away, not even going to the kitchen to check on our order. Watching this, we asked to cancel our order, paid for our drink, and left. Host was happy to cancel our order as he never intended to serve us - apparently we did not look like his regular clientele, so he was intent on making sure we never return. Terrible experience - would suggest people stay as far away from this place as possible.
Very disrespectful and snobby place. Staff are very disrespectful. Went there with a few friends not too long ago and the service was absolute garbage. We waited 40 minutes to an hour for our food and we can see the food just sitting there on the counter. When we confronted the waiter and floor manager, their response for the late food was you did not order appetizers, just drinks and entrees so it takes longer how the hell does that makes sense? Definitely felt that we looked different than their typical customer so we definitely were treated differently. Seemed like they purposely were ignoring us to have us get up and leave on our own. Staff is rude and the experience was horrible. Dont recommend this place at all!
Very nice tasty sushi prepared from fresh ingredients. courteous service .
A truly Amazing experience! Their tasting menu and cocktail offerings are excellent, waitstaff are incredibly friendly and knowledgable of the menu. Will definitely be back!
This is an interesting place for sushi with a very creative sushi menu. It is definitely worth trying. Not your traditional sushi.
Fantastic restaurant, will definitely go back
Good food, expensive cocktail drink
My favorite sushi on the planet. I love sushi. I have tried many amazing places but Saint-Sushi is my favorite.
The service was incredible but the sushis were not worth the visit (and the price) i think the quality changed over time. The sapin was 90% made with tempura and the taste of the sushis was just Ok. Frankly, i won t go back but if you want an amazing service, it s the place to go. :)
Amazing sushi, love the apple sashimi and the Christmas trees. The tasting menu is delicious!
Tasty sushi and drinks. Great vibe. Our go to sushi place in Montreal!
The food is delicious; the service is excellent; the price is reasonable. Definitely will come back!
My first time at Saint Sushi! It was a business meeting so everybody had their own preferences on the food. Our waitress suggested a 3 course sampler meal for four. Not only did they have probably the best sushi I ve ever tasted, they accommodated all of our special requirements and provided modifications to our meal. I am from Toronto, so I will definitely be back to Saint Sushi next time I am in Montreal. Thank you for a great night, wonderful food and exceptional service. And thank you Bart and Davis for suggesting this restaurant.
Good sushi, bad drinks, ok ambiance and overpriced.
Horrible service! Have been multiple times before and was always happy with the service and food, as well as an extremely accommodating waiter who had always served us. Went this past weekend for a nice dinner with friends and was shocked by the change in service. Had a table reserved for 7:30 pm and were told that we would have it until 9 pm, no problem. We sat down and all ordered our food. With 40 minutes going by without anything, I asked the host why our food was taking so long to be brought out. In response, he said that we did not order a while ago and that we will have to just wait until it comes out. What type of hosting is that? At this point our original waiter is no where to be seen; could have gone home for all I knew. Eventually by the time the food came out we had only 20 minutes to enjoy our food before they were trying to seat later reservations. From what I considered amazing service the times I had gone in the past, to what I experienced this time, was shocking and horrible to say the least.
First, I want to acknowledge that the food quality was decent. But thats about it. It is way overpriced for the quality. The club music is also not what we were expected for this price range. If you are ready to spend this amount of money, you have way better options in town.
The best sushi I have ever eaten in my life!! Perfect atmosphere and number 1 service! Well done to the last team all this!! I recommend it to all sushi lovers who want a great evening!!!!
Not bad
Went there for a friend birthday. It was the closest sushi to the Japanese ones I used to order in Tokyo
Hard to find really great sushi on the east coast, when you have been spoiled by the Pacific as your front lawn, but this place has made us extremely happy in Montréal. Highly recommended [both locations].
My husband and I came here with friends and we had great service, fast seating, the drinks were awesome! We are both vegan so we had sushi filled with lots of veggies, and they have options, you just let them know and they can accommodate you! We were very pleased with the food and drinks! Would come back in the future to try more foooood :)
The best sushi restaurant in Montreal! Not only is everything served delicious, but the staff is very friendly too!
The service at this restaurant is exceptional. The staff is always smiling and truly generous. The food is super good.
Hands down the best quality priced sushis in Montreal. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Awesome place and food
Incredible food and experience every single time (both locations). The hosts go out of their way to make you feel at home, and the sushi sets the standard in the city. Overall ambience, vibe, music works well for any group size. Christmas trees are a must-try along with the tasting menu. Could not recommend this place more, I look forward to each visit.
Friendly staff and good sushi
