Went for a few pints with an old friend. Lovely pub. Really nice atmosphere with nice staff.

Superb food, great atmosphere, great beers, amicable company, whats not to like. Definitely going in again. Outside seating is now enclosed in a wonderful new conservatory complete with subtle lighting. The log fire keeps it nice and warm for those chilly evenings. I believe it is available to hire for private dining or functions.

a decent pub. The fish & chips were tasty. unfortunately I cant comment on the dessert menu as unlike the table next to us I wasnt offered the chance to look at it. which was a shame as I love ice cream! but watching the old boy next to us scoff his custard down, Im guessing it was good. Service was a bit slow, I had to go and ask for our bill. I would eat here again.

if you want a quiet meal, dont go here, we sat outside and it was very noisy, loud, and shouting to next tables locals had their dogs with them and did not bother to look after them, wandered anywhere, food was good but nothing special, and a reasonable price Car park is not adequate enough and had to park on the road

We ate here Saturday evening and Sunday lunchtime for the carvery. The food was fantastic on both occasions. The meal on Saturday was amongst the best I have ever had and the carvey was THE best I have ever had by a country mile.

Went there for daughters birthday Had a very nice meal very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. Also dog friendly. Would thoroughly recommend. Vegetarian options: Better than average vegetarian option.

Has to be one of the best Sunday lunches around! The food is cooked beautifully, fresh vegetables cooked perfectly not mush like a lot of carverys and the staff are so friendly. Have to try the deconstructed prawn cocktail its the size of a ploughmans! Will definitely be going back

Before anyone reading this jumps to conclusions about me being a serial restaurant complainer to get money off, I am not. This is an honest review of my experience at The Old Inn. I have left plenty of positive reviews of restaurants - when they are justified. Anyway, I d booked a table of 8 for my Dad s 80th on a Saturday night. Due to the party size we had to pre-order our mains the week before to avoid disappointment . I duly gave the order of 8 meals and asked for a read back. All seemed correct. We arrived and got seated. Our drinks order was taken and we asked to see the starter menu. This seemed to add a bit of confusion to the proceedings as we hadn t pre booked these. Nothing was mentioned about pre ordering starters during the conversation earlier in the week. Anyway we eventually got our starter order in and happy days. I d ordered a plain cheeseburger for my son and asked for that to come with the starters. The starters arrived - I d ordered the half rack of ribs. My word, these ribs consisted of 3 bones and no meat. Shocking. Everyone on the table couldn t believe what had been served. I asked to see the manager as I clearly wasn t happy. The manager turned up and his attitude was disgusting. Very condescending and absolutely no attempt to set things right. No offer of a replacement. To be honest I was stunned. My son s cheese burger arrived - without cheese. They then offered to give a small bowl of cheese on the side as an alternative. We asked to have the cheese melted - not unreasonable as all other cheeseburgers in the world are like this. This was also an effort. The final straw was my brother s meal didn t arrive as it wasn t on the list of preordered food. I know it was as I d made them read back the 8 meals at time of order. To be fair it did turn up quite quickly but appeared to be rushed and thrown together. Overall a very very disappointing experience. We have used this pub for years whilst visiting Weston but will not be back again. The attitude and food quality was poor - certainly not worth the few hundred pounds we spent. I didn t get the manager s name but he needs to be sent on a customer service course. Absolutely terrible attitude.

A gorgeous character village pub of the type were sadly losing. Good food, nice wines, brilliant staff (particularly the Manager who does a fantastic job) and a wonderful atmosphere. Been going for a few decades when visiting family in the area, always have a great time. Well worth a visit, but be sure to book if you want to eat, its very popular!

Staying locally at a cottage for New Year, pub was recommended in the visitors book, turned up lunchtime to a beautiful pub, lovely decor, clean, great ambience, quick service but most importantly...the food was fantastic and we plan to come back before going home to Kent!

A great village public house in Hutton near Weston Super Mare. Good food decent beers and a very friendly welcome. Highly recommended.

Staff were really good. My partner had a steak pie which was good . I had steak and kidney pudding which was awful. Really dry and not edible at all I left nearly all of it. I cant stress strongly enough how awful it was. I told the waitress and the chef took £5 off the bill. I certainly wont be in a hurry to go back.

Lovely country style pub with great selection of ales and wonderful food. It does get very busy on Friday and during the weekend, so best book at least a week in advance. Also busy on a Wednesday evening and unfortunately no Porlock rack of ribs but so many other dishes to delight.

Been trying to book here for a while. You can only book by phone as there s no website.I recommend booking a few days in advance.Carvery was cooked to perfection and generous meat portions. Good selection of veg.Local ciders on tap. Nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and polite we will definitely be coming again. Update; several visits later and still great food with exceptional staff. Generous portions.

Ordered homemade fish pie very bland little sauce and questionable that the mash was homemade it was very gluppy, when I explained to the waitress that I felt it was not great she said shed let the kitchen know but my complaint wasnt acknowledged. Dont think Ill eat there again quality of food didnt match the price.

Great place nice atmosphere

My previous review 2 years ago was 5 stars and nothing but praise. However, after visiting last year and again this year, I unfortunately cannot offer the same. On both of the last 2 occasions we have had to wait well over an hour for our food from the time of ordering, which when you have children in your party is unfair. The food last year compared to 2020 was OK, but not to the same previous standard, however this year the quality of the food was back to its best. All it would have taken was a little communication from the staff, to explain there was a delay for whatever reason, rather than just leaving us sat there guessing. The serving staff were very apologetic, but no good will drink or discount was applied to our final bill for the wait. I would still recommend purely for the food, but be prepared to wait.

Food was excellent.The serving arrangement was too high for me.Under 5ft,so could have dropped hot potatoes or cauli cheese down my front.Had to hold my plate up and select my veg.At least the gravy was lower down.But couldnt fault the roast dinner.

Was good to see it open last Monday was a welcome alternative to the queens funeral. Sat outside as had grandson with me but looked really nice inside. I hear the good is excellent do will be back to try that. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Impromptu visit with friends after visiting the helicopter museum, unfortunately carvery had finished but other menu still available. Great choices on menu and the food was all delicious what we ordered. Drinks were good also especially the London pride. Barstaff and serving staff all very pleasant and a very friendly atmosphere. All in all a great find We will be back if on the area again
