Gave this place a few tries because I've lived Pollo over the years, but this location in particular has bad food and even worse service. Employees are miserable and treat customers like they are an inconvenience. I'm sure it's a leadership/management issue.
Good food. Check your order before leaving. Twice they forgot an item. Called the main phone number, and they credited me on the phone app.
TOO SLOW!!! I just left. Because of them I was standing there waiting cause they didn’t say on the screen my food was ready. I assumed the take outs there weren’t for me until they asked for my name again. One of the workers seems to get mad (she wears glasses and she’s Haitian — I am Haitian too so I can bring up ethnicities). Get it together and don’t be mad that you’re unorganized. Lunch time is very busy which I understand, but get it together. Every time I come to this location either the food isn’t ready or idk where it is. Sticking to sunrise pollo tropical from now on.
This Pollo Tropical gets my order wrong almost every time I buy food there. They either leave something out or give you the wrong thing. This time they incorrectly gave me a half chicken DARK meat platter, instead of what I ordered which was a half chicken WHITE meat platter. My husband had to drive back over five miles to get it exchanged for the right thing. They gave him attitude and dirty looks and told him that he never said half a Chicken white meat although it's the only thing I ever order from there. They took the food he brought back and took out the old chicken and put in the correct chicken but left the old cold rice and beans instead of giving him a completely new meal. On top of everything they don't cut the portion of the half chicken the right way. A Half chicken White meat brings two full chicken breasts with wings attached to the breast, the way that they cut it was a fraction of the chicken breast with the wing, they do this every single time. Someone please come train your cooks and servers on how to properly cut the chicken and serve it. Look at past reviews and you will see that other people have mentioned that they don't get the full chicken breast, they've also received less than the whole breast with the wing attached. I have refrained from writing this review but it's time they understand that they need to provide adequate service to their customers which is what keeps the business alive and helps them keep their jobs.
I would not recommend this location for online orders. In store service was moving along quickly, but I waited 45 minutes longer than the app advised the food to be ready. I was withering away right before their eyes.
Today I did an online order which included various salsas. I send somebody to pickup the order for me. The order was missing all the salsas. I guess it was because you can selfserve the salsas at will in the store, but then remove the option to order them online. I assume if there is an option to choose the salsas you want it must be included by whoever is preparing the order
I had a large order placed for Father’s Day which I did online the day before. When I arrived for pickup, the restaurant had not received the order! Their system had a glitch or something. I slightly panicked as I had twenty people coming to my house within the hour. Nowadays, so many people would have said, sorry, nothing we can do and shrugged their shoulders because at the end of the day, what do they care? They get paid the same whether they help me or not. That was not the case here. They immediately apologized and went into overdrive to get my meal ready. They were so gracious and made it a priority to fix the problem. I am grateful for their kindness and though it was no fault of mine, I realize errors happen but the way a restaurant deals with the error truly matters in the long run! I’ll continue coming here. Placed a mobile order 30 minutes in advance. I arrived to an empty drive thru and was told I had to pick up my order inside the lobby. I parked and came in to see my name at the bottom of the list of over 10 orders. After waiting nearly 30 minutes I finally asked the cashier where is my order at which point they apologized and proceeded to begin making my order. So in other words, I could've had my food made in 3 minutes if I ordered at the drive thru, but instead I was made to wait around 35 minutes in the lobby because I tried having my food ready ahead of time. Lost my entire lunch break to this.

Our opinion, its a Caribbean fast food place. Setup for quick meals. Place was clean. Food was a bit over cooked. Over priced for what was given.
Go buy a lottery ticket if you are able to buy chicken in your tropichop. Also be prepared to pay $15 if you want double meat (if they have any meat at all). That s if they even give you the option. This POLLO Tropical has no chicken available at 1 pm. Might as well close the place down.

This establishment is failing in every realm of food service. They were shut down in 2020 for Rodent droppings and it does not seem like they have gotten their act together since the occurrence . I decided to go through the drive-thru today because I was working on a paper and needed a quick bite to eat. The girl in the drive-thru had no etiquette. She greeted me at the window with a big box of plastic cutlery on her head. She put the box down and opened it with a meat cleaver. She handed me my bag and she was talking to the victims behind me in the drive-thru which she kept responding huh? When I got home I realized they forgot to put plantains in my bag so I made a u-turn. When I entered the restaurant, it was absolutely disgustingly dirty. I could see the girl in the drive-thru working on orders and she was dropping things all over the floor as she was putting them in the bag. It took them sometime to greet me even though there was one person ahead of me. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes inside for the plantains even though there was hardly anybody in the establishment. When I got home to not enjoy my food I ended up pushing aside the burnt chicken and hard rice. It was by far the worst meal Ive had from a Pollo tropical. I enjoy grill marks on my chicken but they overdid it with the burnt shoe leather effect. I will not be returning to this establishment. Its really sad what has happened to this place!
It has improved over previous visits, and it still needs to improve some more. Service isnt up to par. Par is very low in these type of establishments, and they still come up short. Food : 4/5

More often than not, the chicken is overcooked and dry. Great menu and concept when you find a location that gives a damn, this one, meh, not so much.
This location is one of the lowest quality polo tropicals. There is always something wrong. The worst Cuban sandwich I have ever had was here. It was cooked in an oven and never pressed. The inside was hot mush nastiness and the outside was a stale hard rock. The staff and manager lied to me an told me it was fresh and press on the sandwich press like I cant tell the difference in my 35 yrs eating Cuban sandwiches. They wasted my time having to come back and return this poor excuse for a sandwich. Rock bottom quality here which is a shame and suprise because its in a nice area.

I always buy pollo from here. Always have been good. Last week bought a whole chicken and got no white meat. I was disappointed.

Ordered through app for pickup at 12:30 on a Friday. Chicken was dry and aged. Disappointed because I usually love Pollos chicken. Bad line management on food flow. App as usual works great. They need to bring back the boiled yucca with garlic.
This place has gone downhill. Staff is rude, uncaring to your request or needs. Drive thru staff acts like theyre doing you a favor. They dont even announce the total at the window and just hold their hand out. When you do get your food, no eye contact or even a thank you. Half the menu is We ran out....during the day. Never going back. Parking: You have drive thru a gas station to access this place.
The food was tasteless, the yucabites were cold inside, bad service, everything.

Literally walked in to the store and literally no one in the staff said a word for the first 10 min. I was just there standing like an idiot. Felt completely ignored. Staff here don t care at all. The lady next to me complaint and all that they guy said was it s all good . It s outrageous the way this store is handled.
The last three times I wait forever for an order. Look like they are short of staff. The staff are working with no happy face. I ordered by online trying to have less time waiting. After 30 mi. I asked for my order and wasnt done yet. After more than 17 min. They gave me the order, finally. I love pollo tropical, but something is happening after they were closed for months. POLLO Tropical with no pollo or beans... what?! Believe it or not, the previous time I was there, they didnt have pieces of chicken (the 1/2 or 1/4 chicken). And for some reason I gave it a chance again last night and they were out of beans!!! How can this happen when those are their main ingredients. Unacceptable. The attendants did not even apologize, it was like: there are no beans, get over it fast and pick from what we have.
Drive in crazy busy..went in.. ordered cuban sandwich...and smallest coconut shrimp order just for a little extra treat... Had to ask for sauce .. got a lil attitude....Got home...shrimp was just short of burnt.. I have had Great Cuban Sandwich in past from there... Very Disappointed... Sandwich was not flattened and grilled... Maybe QUALITY CONTROL....NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED..IJS..

You always have to wait in lines to order. But the food is always fresh and tasty. Parking: Its behind a service station. And a rubber plant is like a shopping center Kid-friendliness: Yes because it has an open area and the closed one has a TV. They always have sports channels on
I was treated like I was interrupting their free time. The girl was definitely not happy that she had to do her job. Plus, I asked for some sauce, and when I got home, I noticed two of the sauces were opened and spilled all over inside the bag. Im not sure if it was on purpose or if she was just careless

A very well located place with good decoration and furniture, unfortunately the service was very slow and the delivery of orders was congested for a longer time than normal. It must be recognized that the staff is very attentive and friendly and that they did everything possible to ensure that the service was provided as soon as possible. Recommended but not during peak hours.
My 2nd visit to any Pollo Tropical and I have to ask myself why havent I been back sooner. Great service! Thank you
Terrible service, I waited an hour for half a chicken, I mean if you could call that half because it looked more like a quarter, another point that they dont even give rice, it would be better if they didnt give anything so that they would give that puddle, I would give them a star but they dont even deserve that

I love pollo tropical. This one is the worst I always give them the benefit of the doubt and they always suck. The order is always wrong and they burn the living daylights out of everything. I might as well have gone to Home Depot and bought a bag of kingsford lump charcoal instead of plantains because I literally wouldn t have been able to tell the difference
Ive been going to Pollo Tropical since its inception and this locations interior is the cheapest, most unattractive Ive ever seen. I get it. Poor economy, cut some corners, but using a garden brick wall and the cheapest tables, chairs, and lighting only say, STAY AWAY!!! If you look at the pictures on Google maps, the are older pictures of bamboo chairs and tables, art on the walls, and other accents. Now the place is sterile.
Food was great. Beans were a little dry but okay. The day i went they didnt have SAUCE, but we survived. The sign literally made my day because i would expect that in Miami but never in Broward.
The food here is definitely up to standards now from 2 years ago. I think its under new management because the the service and food from approximately 2 years ago was definitely not to my standards. The manager is awesome. I was there yesterday and my lunch was excellent, the dining area was clean and the staff was very friendly. Thanks for adding to our Beautiful City of Weston. Ordered the coconut shrimp and a tropi-chop bowl and asked for extra sauce and i got no sauce at all. And while I was waiting a few containers were dropped on the floor and put right back.

Found baby roach in my food. Absolutely disgusting and not acceptable. People are nice but not the first time this location has had problems with insects.
The drive-thru is broke they cant hear you they leave out half your stuff so check it before you drive away from the window
I just had a horrible experience with the girl at the drive thru. She is extremely rude. She was rushing me, gave me attitude and even raised her voice at me. She has no customer facing etiquette and clearly hates her job.
Sadly went to Pollo Tropical on 2835 Weston Rd. Weston, Fl 33331 Store #10043. The customer service was Horrible!!! the petsonel dispatching your food taking there sweet time there was a long line (inside) people waiting for their orders. I asked to speak to the manager after 15 minutes waiting for my order and the manager didnt want to even come to the counter to speak to me everyone was complaining. The person that took my order was the one that ended preparing my order. That was not fare to him. I dont recommend to go to this location for those of you that are in your lunch breaks ! HORRIBLE!!!
Actually not a star apart from very expensive, super mediocre I just bought it and when I got home a terrible disappointment, the rice was hard and the bananas were black! I just dont think they eat those ripe ones like that! Its disrespectful to just serve them. I dont recommend this place at all years ago it was much better.
Pollo Tropical is my go to place whenever I want good food that does not taste like your typical fast food. No matter what Pollo Tropical you go to the chicken, rice and black beans always taste good, it is not dry but juicy and delicious!
After giving our order, it took 30 minutes to receive it!!! Also, after checking the order, the sides were missing , we informed the lady, and she kept arguing with us. We showed her the receipt that we paid extra for, and she kept arguing, and then we showed her the order on the screen, and she was arguing AGAIN!!! We finally asked for a manager and agreed with us and gave us our sides. This doesnt make sense. We waited 30 minutes to get our order and argued for 3 minutes.
This Pollo is gross. Gentleman to the right in the picture, was moving around the trashcans with his bare hands then proceeded to serve the food. Do not eat at this location.

HOW DO THEY CHARGE YOU $2.50 EXTRA for a CHURRASCO TROPICHOP and it actually comes with less meat than the chicken tropichop. It makes no sense!! And I also ordered avocado which I got charged for and I didn t have it :|
Excelente food and environment
The cooked chicken was ice cold. I had second thoughts on eating it and I should have listened to my gut. Of course I got really sick. Never will I go back to this location. The place is very unsanitary. Half the time all the KIDS that work there are playing on their phones and not really working. This place needs a major make over.
I went to this Pollo Tropical over the weekend, and I forgot my bag with all my belongings, and Mr. Juan very kindly located me and called me, giving me all my things without exception, an excellent person, very grateful for the service and attention! excellent thanks !!!!

Was no able to rate because at 3:53pm I went over to have a late lunch I was The only one in front of the cashier 2 Hatian ladies just look at me and non Of offer to take my order one was unwrapping a candy that was to important for her. So I left and had my lunch at La Granja which was the opposite great service.

Rating one star because I cant leave no stars. This location is regularly out of CHICKEN and other items. Its called Pollo Tropical...chicken is in the name and they have none at 7pm! Customer service is exceptionally poor. Employees often have bad attitudes and slow service due to all the clowning around and personal cell phone distractions.

Choose a different Pollo Tropical. Last 3 times we have tried to order and pick up here has been a nightmare. Order was supposed to be ready at 6:45pm, it s now 7:25 and it s still not ready. They don t have items and won t refund the card because the person that ordered it isn t present. They always run out of things. The employees don t want to be there and it shows. Go to Sunrise or Davie instead. Update - while they responded to my review, we still haven t heard back from corporate. The people in the store wouldn t refund my son for items ordered via the website that weren t available. Also - I ve revised my review on the food. The maduros were overcooked and nasty. The family Caesar salad was measly - enough for one and didn t full the container it was in, and didn t have croutons. And to top it off - the cover on the beans was loose and leaked all over the bags and the other food. It s now 11/12/23 and I ordered again - gave you another chance. Guess what!!! It was screwed up again. Ordered a full chicken family meal - we got a quarter chicken??? U kidding me. Oh, also missing a side. And the refund was prorated and I still paid $35 for a quarter chicken! This is ridiculous. This store is awful. Never order from here again.
As many others posting here I had a terrible experience at this location. We just moved to the area and picked up dinner one night. The chicken was like a solid rock. It came with a small scoop of old rice and missing all of the toppings that were supposed to come on it. We ordered a kids meal another time and They said they didn t carry ketchup for the chicken fingers or fries they also didn t have ranch and they were all out of the cilantro dressing. It s very weird because since moving to Weston I ve noticed how good the service is at all of the fast food places in comparison to the other side of Broward. Not sure if it s the staff or management but the lady who checked me out at the counter inside couldn t comprehend how to ask for a modification on my bowl. She wasn t quite to the point of rude but super unhelpful and didn t care to ask for help when she was unable to do what i asked for. It was a bad overall experience. I m a big fan of this brand so I am very disappointed by this situation since it s right around the corner from me now.

I tried the new tropical trio but it was a fiasco. I was hoping some tasty and fresh but all I got was something overcooked and lame. I ordered also a side of Tostones but texture was like a cookie made 3 days ago and cooked in the fryer over and over again.

This is the first time I go back after being closed for a long time. I noticed the improvements they needed to do, especially with the cleanliness and everything looks much better. I ordered the Tropichop vegan chicken picadillo, it was salty, other than that, the black beans, rice and veggies were good. If they can reduce the salt for the vegan chicken picadillo, it would make this meal delicious and healthier.
