La Pequeña Colombia Bakery & Restaurant in Weston

This is the first time we were here and unfortunately the service was not what we expect. I forgot to ask a juice for my gran children and I request that to the guy who brought our food and he gave me attitude and he said he will back to bring me the juice and never back. The food was dry and no flavor. We do not back again.

The experience at this Colombian restaurant was disappointing. While I expected good at the table service, what I got felt like fast food rushed, bland, and lacking the homemade touch Colombian cuisine is known for. The empanadas were dry hard and salty! Food tasted like they came out of a freezer, and everything was self served, from the water, to the silverware, napkins etc. you had to go and get yourself from a station at the back, like at a fastfood joint. Service was mediocre. Far better colombian restaurants near by.

The service was not what I expected and when I polite request my order be corrected the waitress became upset. I did not eat there to say the least. The chocolate was good. This happened on 01/29/2022. On 10/28/2024, I had a great meal with a friend. The service was good.

It really seems like a very nice place to me and the girls are very friendly, however I was very struck by the aptitude of the afternoon manager, I provide my Uber services to you and an incident happened to me, I dropped one of them. soup, and I asked the manager for help and what he was able to tell me is you have to pay, its not my problem, I already gave it to you, hes right, he had already given it to me, but the least I expected was for him to tell me, were going to solve it right away. More appropriately, we are human beings and we are not exempt from these types of accidents happening to us. Thank you very much and I will gladly continue providing you with my services.

We loved the food at Little Colombia !!! The Paisa tray is spectacular, an exquisite flavor and the empanadas are a delight, with their chili sauce !!! I recommend it 1000/1000 thousand out of a thousand.

I just went to buy some empanadas to take away, when I got home I realized that I paid for 6 empanadas and they only gave me 5, plus they didnt give me lemon or spicy food, I wasnt going to return, very bad service. I recommend you check your orders before leaving there, every time the service is terrible, I will not return

My fish was just really too large to enjoy. It was fried but because it was so large it was rubbery. It had not salt nor pepper so I did not enjoy it at all. The empanada was really good. I will go back to get empanada and maybe I will try something else, but please use salt and pepper at least.

Definitely need to have a better system than taking care of your own, and workers ask for tip just because they take the order at the counter

I ordered a sancocho and I told the cashier, dont give me anything, just the mere soup because my girl only eats the mere soup, she doesnt eat either the papa or the cassava and then the soup arrives, two tremendous amounts of cassava and papa and I tell her because they kicked him out if I said no and the waitress told me that it comes like this and the soup that only a little bit after I took away the papa and cassava and she went to tell the manager and he never showed up to face him as a customer he comes Lets see what happened but I watched from here and the attention never appeared bad, what a shame but I wont be coming back again.

What happened???? This was one of my favorite Colombian restaurants and after today Im just disappointed. Got a to go order and when I got home the order was wrong, the food was bland and cold.

This restaurant prior to Covid was great, for the last few years I ve tried on several occasions to try it but the service is terrible. The service and atmosphere is not good anymore. Beware they add tip to your tab without telling you and when you go to pay the tip option appears again so you end up tipping twice. The receipt is not detailed so you have no clue they are doing this. Absolutely unacceptable especially for the service you get. I ordered a beef empanada which gets smaller and smaller, it s ridiculous. I m done visiting this place and giving them my money. Today was the last time going there.

I really don t like to leave negative reviews but . First time I had a pan de bono with coffee which was great but the girl at the register had such an incredibly bad attitude. My husband who doesn t speak Spanish was trying to order and she was rude and sarcastic towards him as well. Second time I went because I thought, give it another shot since the pan de bono was amazing and the hubs though the chicharrón was good so maybe she was having a bad day on our first try. its disappointing to say that we didn t even enjoy the food, this time we ordered full breakfast, bandeja paisa, various bakery items etc. we went with another family and they felt the same way, the staff is so rude. If you have the need to ask for anything like forks or napkins or anything it s like you second guess having to ask for anything because they are so ugly about it. Maybe two ladies were super sweet, the rest seemed miserable just to be there. There are too many restaurants that serve Colombian/Venezuela food with great service around here to go where you are treated ugly like this.

The best and most authentic Colombian food in South Florida. I think many dishes are even better than in Colombia. Super recommended. We have lived in Weston for more than 12 years and it is my childrens favorite food

First of all, the management towards the clients is too blasé and without information, I arrived at 10:55 am to have breakfast, I sat at the table and the waiters around me stood without any kind of attention towards us, then it took 10 minutes to arrive to make my order. order without anyone informing me that the order is placed at the cashier and not at the table, it took me 10 minutes waiting in line and at 11:00 am the cashier informed me that she did not It sells more breakfasts because it is their service until 11am and seeing as I am with my two minor children and my disabled wife, how sad it is for this type of place that arriving for the first time treats you in such a way that is so uncomplicated for them. I do this so that they arrive and improve their service and be more cordial with the clientele.

I grew up in Weston coming to this place when we were craving home cooked Colombian food. The service before was exceptional and it had a good atmosphere. A couple of years ago they changed it to a self service restaurant. The quality of the food is not the same, the service is almost non existent . Today I gave it my last try and probably will not come back. Sad to see the decline of this place :(

A paisa tray for more than $15.00, the beans are a joke, they are nothing more than a small plate. Rice and meat powder by quantities. Customer service does not exist... I do not recommend it

The best Colombian empanadas

This restaurant has undergone some changes. In the past, you were seated, and a waitress would take your order at your table while enjoying live music. Now, you must place your order at the cashier register and sit yourself. The popular dish, bandeja paisa, is now priced at $25. The entire menu reflects a significant price increase. During a recent visit, we requested chorizo after being seated, but the waitress gave us a hard time, insisting that it needed to be cooked (as if we were ordering a complicated meal). It was obvious she didnt want to do it Its apparent that the owners are not at fault; rather, its the challenging economic conditions that are pushing them to implement changes that may not necessarily be well-received by customers.

I come here all the time and I love the food but the service is so inconsistent. I always order the chicken soup and it always comes with a side of rice and this time when I came to pick it up they didn t add the rice. The lady told me it never comes with rice but l told her every single time I ve gotten soup (over the span of several years) it comes with rice. She gave me a look like as if I was insane and said that it never comes with rice. It s very annoying. I will most likely be done here and find another place.

We order at the counter 11 empanadas, 2 pan de bono & 1 pastry. (Left a tip and all) The blonde lady gave us 4 sauces for all empanadas, when I asked her for more she stated with an attitude that only 1 sauce goes for every 2 empanadas. I offered to pay for more sauce and then again with an attitude handed me 2 more. I got home and the pan de bono wasn t inside the bag ugh!!! First and last to this place. Terrible service, worse part is the a man standing behind her looking like a manager didn t even acknowledged her horrible service!

The fried fish we ordered today was inedible. It tasted like soap and/or disinfectant. We returned it and asked to change it for something else which we had to pay an extra $15 more and wait more than 1/2 hour to be served. How bad today is. They didnt have coconut ice cream after I paid for it. Terrible, especially the soap-flavored refried fish, terrible. I think Ill stop going to little Colombia anymore. Much to be desired. Terrible.

Very bad experience, I do not recommend ordering the AJIACO, it is very bad it only tastes like condiments, the chicken is extremely dry, it felt old, the AJIACO is supposed to be a soup but when it arrives it looks like a broth! The only good thing was Martas attention, she was very kind and let the Manager know our disagreement.

This used to be a great little place for comfort food with friendly servers and a warm atmosphere, not any longer. They change it to a semi-fast-food style, they are understaffed and the food isnt as good anymore. This used to be my first stop after a long trip.

I love La Pequena Colombia Bakery & Restaurant, the food is very delicious and the service is very good, but the last time I ordered a snack to go and I was disappointed, the tray was half French fries and only a little bit of chicharon, maybe one or two chopped chorizos and one or two stuffed minced meats and an arepa, nothing to do with what is really expected from a Colombian snack. I really didnt ask or check it before leaving because I couldnt imagine finding that surprise at home. I hope they improve this traditional dish. Kid-friendliness: a family place

Bad service, you have to pay first and add the tip before sitting down, the waitresses dont even care about the service, we ordered the special, they served us the soup and they forgot the main course, my friend had to stand up and practically go into the kitchen to order the food, I asked if they could bring me spicy and it never came again my friend had to stop and look for the spicy, simple food a 5 out of 10 with no desire to return

I stopped going here a few years back because the service was not amiable..but today wanted hot soup.. ordered sancocho mistake soup was good but Soup was lukewarm - service was fake- I ordered the chicken looked way undercooked asked if they could cook it more they said that s the way it comes oh well I tried it again strike two I think there are better places I hope they read this and improve

Terrible attention! They dont keep track of a large table with different orders. Even though I wanted to order separately, they told me that we were at the same table. THE FOOD WAS SERVE ICE COLD! They didnt know what it was for each person and the super rude innkeeper didnt listen to what was needed. My son didnt eat because in the end he was served whatever he wanted. I didnt want to fight because we were with children and the people in charge were very rude. My son left hungry but still paid at the entrance. Anyway, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM if you go in a large group.

I think its not what it was before, today I went to breakfast and they only have fried arepa with the heated one and they came full of fat, the perico eggs didnt taste like anything because they dont know how to make the stir-fry and the amount of coffee with milk seems in a glass of red because I had to order another one to be able to finish breakfast and buy pandebonos because I couldnt eat the arepas with so much fat, a shame because it was the best food in Broward in a Colombian restaurant.

Without attention, the paisa tray without meat instead of meat they give a ground flour without flavor, it looks like ground carve, maybe one day it was good. Not once did they approach the table to ask if everything was okay and I asked for a little box and from the counter they signaled to go pick up at the back (it seems and go look for yourself thats the impression.) they didnt come except to bring the food

This restaurant was before one of my best to eat. But now, I dont think the same. I went two times and the cashier (was a guy) I think his name is Carlos was very rude, totally NOT professional at all, plus terrible customer service (he did not said to you hi how are you, how can I help you today, etc.) before was the nicer ladies in front...but now they put that guy and he is very bad. Hope the owners can fix that.
