Omg! This restaurant its a hidden gem, beautiful, amazing customer service and the food absolutely delicious. I had the bao chicharron and the tropical makki. 100% recommended.

Food was delicious, but unfortunately our server wasn t good, we order a lunch special he acted like he didn t know what we were talking about, the lunch came with a free drink that he didn t offer so since we didn t know we never got it, also we order another drink that never came and he barely checked up on us, I ll give it another chance and hope we get a better server.

Martine, our server, provided a thoughtful explanation of the menu that inspired me to try food I normally would not order. I had a wonderful experience.

It is my familys and Is favorite restaurant! The sushi are divine, they have a unique flavor and Andrés attention was excellent, he was attentive to everything at our dinner!

Visited Katana last Friday for my birthday dinner with the family and a few friends. The experience was absolutely perfect! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and vibe was great. Didnt get a chance to take any pictures because the food looked so good that we just started digging in as soon as it arrived. I strongly recommend Katana Cocina Nikkei and will definitely be back! Dietary restrictions: My wife has an avocado intolerance and the server was able to accommodate her accordingly. Parking: No issue with self parking here at all. Kid-friendliness: My four year old came and the server was very accommodating. They didnt have any crayons or anything to keep her occupied, so he found a doll for her to play with while we were there. Super nice touch!

Went there with my family, this is by far one of the best places to eat Japanese / Peruvian food here in Weston and even in Florida. Every plate was freshly made, one of the best waiter (by Lucas) and the places looks amazing. Wow! Wow! Wow! We went tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday and this place was amazing! From the service to the food. Martín and the rest of the staff were wonderful, the food was incredible! From the Bao Buns to the Causa, to the Sushi Rolls to the dessert, everything was over the top incredible! We will certainly be back soon! 5 stars and them some!

Came here for a casual birthday lunch. We were greeted by a personable server named Giovanni. First thing we realized was that it was a peruvian japanese fusion restaurant, which I wasn t aware of initially. The decor was clearly a point of pride for this business. We highly enjoyed and were surprised by the deliciousness of the pork belly buns. For seconds, we had the dumpling soup and split it amongst our party of three. The happy hour specials were decently priced. However, we didn t enjoy the two rolls we ordered off the menu. The fish was kind of chewy and the flavor mix was slightly off putting when you re coming in for some sushi. We ordered the sweet duck as well. We were too full at this point to eat the duck there, but we had it with our sunny side up eggs the following morning and it was very pleasant. The duck was soft and delicious, but the corn brulee was also too sweet for our liking. Overall, there is clearly a lot of attention and care that goes into the menu just the flavor profiles are not for everyone. I would not order any of the sushi there again, but would try out different menu items.

Coming from a picky eater, this place s food is amazing! As well as the atmosphere, there were gorgeous paintings and decorations all over the restaurant. Also great music and layout of the seats. One more thing, the service!! One worker greeted me and my party at the door, another walked us kindly to our table and answered all the questions we had so politely, and also held the door as we walked out. I rate this place a 5/5 across all the boards! I gladly recommend for anytime you re around Weston and looking for a new place to eat.

Came here today for the first time to have sushi for lunch. Lucas was our server, great attention and great service! Definitely try the octopus plate with quinoa! Lucas did a great job at explaining the food that was on the menu and giving us great options to choose from. I ll definitely be back in the future, highly recommend it !

I did not have a good first experience, we went to look for food to bring home, there were 5 dishes, they told us that in 30 minutes we could pick it up, after 45 minutes they only had 2 dishes ready, we had to cancel the order and come, our school son But despite the good comments, the time in the place was stressful, all the waiters apologized for the delay in the dishes, not just ours, the place was full.

Really nice restaurant, a perfect place for a date. The decor matches 100% with everything in the restaurant, from the silverware, the dishes, chairs, etc. Service was good. Everyone was very polite and attentive. The food was great, and the scallops are a must to try as an appetizer. My wife praised the octopus, and my lomo saltado was good, not traditional but good.

Decided to try them based on reviews, walk in at least 7 empty tables but only option was to sit at the bar. Ordered a ceviche and Lomo salteado, ceviche was good lomo salteado was horrible, hard meat no real flavor .After we finished dinner most of the empty tables that were supposedly reserved, were still empty. Don t get why we were only optioned the bar I guess hosts were instructed to utilize the bar area as for we were the only patrons using it although many open tables available. Decor is very nice, food IMO was not as good as reviews stated, at least on this day.

Carols friendly, courteous and hospitable service along with the hosting and waiting staffs attention to detail made the dining experience all the more comfortable and relaxing. To say that my girlfriend and I felt welcome would be an understatement. Im glad she had the idea for us to try this recently-opened and week-old location for the first time and boy are we glad we did! The décor and ambiance had a balanced and eclectic feel between ancient & modern. Bravo to the owner for having opened this beautiful Pan-Asian fusion restaurant!

The food was better the first time we went there and they definitely need to improve their service. Our server was beyond high... I dont think I am coming back to this restaurant.

We had an amazing experience last night at katana as always. Even though the restaurant was full, the hostess, Sofia, was very concerned and managed to get us a table without waiting. Then we were very well served by our waiter Kevin, who was super attentive, fast and friendly with everything we asked for. The food was 10/10, as was the service and atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Weston.

An awesome dining experience with exquisitely elaborated dishes that truly reflect the artistry of Nikkei cuisine. The prices are fair and in line with the high level of service and quality of food. The ambiance is unique and adds to the overall experience. I was with my wife for the first time at the restaurant and we loved it. The food is very good and of excellent quality. Our waiter was KEVIN!, a very professional and pleasant guy. He made us precise recommendations and was very attentive. Of course, you will return with high expectations of the restaurant Katana.

Really unfortunate situation. The two times I ordered through Uber Eats. I have received no sauce. I called to let them know that I have received no sauce for my sushi and instead of coming up with a solution they tell me they did put sauce in my bag and tell me to go pick it up when I live far away. Really upset don t recommend.

Amazing new place. Our waiter Diego recommended his favorite scallops that came with an open flame, 2 flavors, on open shells, amazing. I had as appetizer Spicy honey shrimp pops this was very well season and delicious not the person for seafood but This got my attention and boy I do t regret it also order the chicharrón bao buns and this also was amazing the pork belly literally melted on my palate and the sauce was a type of bbq but with a Asian twist Main plate was Tokio duck. Forget what you know about duck this was tender and juicy well season and super good the rice was on point kind of like a border line risotto because is a bit wet but full of flavor and the plate came with potatoes with huancaina sauce but they top this amazing piece of heaven with pickled veggies and a home made yellow classic Peruvian chimichurri. To top this a fried egg with a runny yolk that tight everything up perfectly For dessert they offer a big selection I choose the platter that brings 4 mini options This brings suspiro limeño chocolate cake passion fruit cheese cake mouse and suspiro de lucuma To be honest I was sitting by the exit of the kitchen area and everything that came out I wanted to try the food here looks really appealing and yummy that this place deserves a 2nd 3rd and 10th review Update today I had one of the best dragon rolls I have ever had Also had a dumpling soup this was out this world Also had the porteño roll this also was divine I play save and order the lomo saltado just in case my luck run out but apparently you can t go wrong in this place Like I said previously I have to come here another time to try something else The bao buns where fenomenal this time too Less busy today but is a Wednesday early in the night so not many People Stay tune for the next update

First time there. Nice decoration. They offer half price wines but they don t have it in stock. The server brought a different plate that was ordered, appetizers took a long time to come, sushi it s ok, I ve tried way better in the area. Then the server never came back to our table. I had to ask for the check twice to different waiters, until finally our waiter came and had to ask for the third time for the check. I won t go back to this place.

I visited Katana Sushi in Weston, FL, and loved the experience! I was welcomed with warm service in a cozy environment. The menu offers an incredible variety, with fresh and delicious sushi. The Maki Parmesano was a highlight. The service was impeccable, with staff who were helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I recommend Katana Sushi to any lover of Japanese cuisine. TL;DR- Beautiful place, Bad service, Mediocre food and very expensive. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Katana Cocina Nikkei. When we entered the place we saw a filming crew. Apparently they were filming a show or something like that, so the music was off and the filming crew was very loud but NOT in a good way. First, the food was underwhelming. We were a group of 3 and we ordered the scallop starter, two sushi rolls and Udon noodles. The portions were small and basically, the food was bland, lackluster and lacked any real flavor and wasn t living up to the hype. And for the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. On top of the poor food, the service was pretty bad. We waited over 40 minutes for our meals to arrive after asking the waiter twice about the food, which was very weird especially when the restaurant not being very busy and we didn t order a lot of food. Our waiter seemed more interested in chatting with other staff members than attending to us. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other places that offer better food and more attentive service. Save your time and money and dine elsewhere.

Really nice environment, food was tasty but drinks were not as expected, they were warm when we got them to the table and tasted like a lot of sugar you couldn t taste any alcohol in it. Services wasn t great, we ordered drink and our server forgot twice, same when we asked for things like spicy mayo, etc. Also drinks took too long to be made when the place was almost empty and they had 2 bartenders. But food wise is worth it, will come back just for the food.

Came to Katana last Friday night to grab some food with a friend. I got the Tokyo Mojito and it was crafted to perfection! It was so good I had to order a second one. We also got the shrimp bao buns & ceviche de pescado y pulpo and we loved them. The passion fruit cheesecake is also amazing!! Loved the dim lighting and atmosphere. Definitely recommend checking out this unique spot.

Omgosh Im obsessed, the place is gorgeous when you walk in, I just returned from Japan to see cherry blossoms so it made me feel like I was back on vacation. The plates and drinks come out just as beautiful and delicious. The definition of take my money we still have no clue how much we paid because we don t care jaja so worth it. I will take the time to tell you what a great time we had at Katana, everything was excellent from the moment we were greeted by a beautiful blonde, then she and all the staff were excellent, our waitress was very friendly and knew the restaurants dishes perfectly, we inundated her with questions and she answered everything very well with a smile. The food was delicious, the rolls, my delicious seafood fried rice maybe a little salty, the seviche and the salmon salad very good. Very nice atmosphere with a very nice live saxophone. Good prices for the quality of food. I will return to try more dishes there.

It seems I had an uncharacteristically bad experience at Katana on my first visit, but even upon reading the many positive reviews, I cant help but feel like this restaurant will not last very long. The young man who was our server was not very attentive or knowledgeable about the lunch special. The atmosphere is nice and very high class, however there are some aspects of the design I think hinder the customers experience. For example, the small metal glasses of water (which typically hold Moscow mules) make it difficult for the staff to tell when your out of water, that is, when theyre not chilling at the bar on their phones. We did not attend at a busy time, in fact it was surprisingly slow for a Saturday lunch. Another thing: the bowl in which my yakisoba arrived was dark and looked huge but was in fact not actually that deep. I know theres intention behind the presentation, but for such a mediocre dish it adds salt to the wound when they try to hide the excessive amount of sauce with black ceramic. The prices are quite high which is disappointing considering the old restaurant had a variety of options for those on a budget. Speaking of which, I was sad to hear that there was only a single option for soup in the lunch special. Furthermore, I had ordered hot tea, but the waiter was about to walk away without asking me which tea I wanted. When my tea did arrive, less than half the cup was filled, only stevia/Splenda was brought to the table (no non-artificial sweeteners) and when I did ask for honey, they brought me a comically large amount! The manager/owner seemed to be lingering around throughout our entire meal yet did not stop by to actually interact with any guests: it seemed like he was just watching awkwardly or maybe guarding the front? Im sure this is a better place to eat Peruvian food, but they are advertised as a fusion and literally names katana so, I dont know what to make of that. Finally, we ordered dessert and enjoyed the passion fruit cheesecake, although calling it cheesecake is a bit of a stretch. The custard had more of a key lime pie texture so less cream and more smooth if thats what you like, but not at all what we expected. The most offensive thing about it is the price: 15 dollars for a dessert the size a newborn turtle. Im not sure how else to describe it. Note that we were not given a dessert menu or told the price beforehand, though that speaks for what these teenage servers are trained to do I suppose. Overall, my experience doesnt seem to line up with that of the majority, but I still dont see myself coming back. Evidently, a lot of money was put into the remodeling, but the service and food itself doesnt line up with the facade the interior decorators are trying to create. I know we live in an expensive city, but as someone who loved Miyoko so dearly, its such a disappointment to see this is the direction the new owners have taken the venue. Katana may work in Las Olas or other locations where high class restaurants are the norm, but Weston is getting oversaturated with fancy South American/Asian fusion and I dont care to facilitate that trend.

Wow, this Peruvian/Sushi spot is a gem! Jesus, our server, was the cherry on top of an already awesome experience. He was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was a delicious mix of Peruvian and sushi flavors that totally hit the spot. The vibe was chill, perfect for a laid-back meal. Cant wait to come back, especially for Jesuss top-notch service! Five stars all the way!

Katana has the best Peruvian Nikkei fusion you can find in Florida, the octopus and shells my favorites, although I went with someone who ate almost 40 makis because I found them irresistible! The drinks and desserts are quite creative and delicious. The service is excellent, super well attended and friendly. I loved the architecture too. Im coming back anyway.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary it was our first time and we were not disappointed Giovani was our waiter and was excellent I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and a few minutes later the manager Leah came to our table to ask how the food had the service was and asked us if we liked pros seco and we acknowledged she had Giovanni brings us the drinks on the house very nice gesture. Would highly recommend it.

Amazing atmosphere. The sushi is world class and the portions are better than any other place in Weston. You will never go to half-off Publix sushi on Wednesday again after trying this. I was also surprised how good the kids chicken nuggets and fries are...I was jealous of my kids meal too!

Outstanding service with Giovanni, extremely attentive! A hidden gem here in Weston. It wont be for long as the food is superb. The dumpling soup, salmon poke bowl and chicken dishes were amazing. The sushi looked fantastic coming out of the kitchen. Looking forward to returning.

We went for happy hour on Thursday and had a blast. The happy hour menu is limited but the food and drinks are great. We stayed longer because there was a person singing. Acevichado roll was the best!! Would definitely recommend this place.

We were here at noon when the restaurant opened and were literally the only people there for the first hour (we should have been out in the hour but the waitstaff and food were incredibly slow ) The seafood fried rice was quite good and the decor is lovely. But the staff was not very friendly at all. We were unimpressed. If you re looking for a quick lunch between work meetings, I would look elsewhere.

Food is exquisite (Margret de Pato, Bao con chicharrones, Bao con camarones, amazing dumpling soup, chicken samurai, jalea de pescado, desserts). Beautiful setting, but the only discomfort is that the music is always too loud causing patrons to speak louder. It s too loud of a place. I say this after eating there 4 times already. Otherwise, lovely place to frequent.

Visiting from out of town and swing by for salad takeout for lunch and am.blown.away. From the first bite- the tuna tataki salad is out of this world. So, 4 hours later, my sister and I go back for dinner... WOW! From the incredible care and attention to detail from our server Nashla, to owners Chef Oscar and his lovely wife Olenka, the experience is truly OUTSTANDING. Made us feel like very special guests. I loved that place

Restaurant is beautifully decorated and service is good. However the experience is limited by mediocre food. While the Peruvian dishes were excellent in flavor with sharp tart sauces with fresh ingredients, the Japanese dishes were mediocre at best. The experience was limited by technical execution of the dishes. Chaufa was soggy and lomo saltado lack the flame taste of the wok. Noodles of the ramen bowl was overcooked. Sushi had soggy under seasoned rice. Maybe Sunday night was the chef s day off. The tiradito and ceviche were excellent. Desserts were rich and decadent.

The food and the ambient were excellent but what impress me more was the good service, I felt really goo with the staff and the way they talked was just relaxing. I will recommend this place to everyone I see on the street.

Aside from a reservation snafu at the onset, very positive experience, and well managed on a busy holiday. Menu is somewhat limited overall for a Japanese-peruvian fusion, but what they lack in options they make up in quality. VERY well made lomo saltado, very well made ceviche as well as unique and well constructed sushi, from unique maki to some of the classics that are expected. Would highly recommend. Decor and ambience are awesome. Wish they had more booth seating!
