Italian Restaurant
Food was warm, definitely not hot, small portions, pasta wasn't done enough, way too firm and hard. Price was high for the amount and quality that we received. Server was cocky when confronted. Definitely will not return.
This is a spot that I've always held a high opinion of and it's sad to see the quality of the meals go downhill since it's changed hands. Service was great and atmosphere was nice. Likely will not be rushing back
🌟 A Delightful Italian Affair! 🌟 Darlings, if you’re in the mood for a delectable culinary escapade, look no further than this charming Italian gem! The all-you-can-eat pasta is nothing short of an invitation to indulge—each twirl of penne is a warm embrace, and the mushroom ravioli? Divine! Truly, it’s a heavenly creation that dances on your palate like a prima ballerina. Now, let’s talk about the ambiance, shall we? It’s cozy in the most intimate way, a snug little nook that wraps you in warmth like a cashmere shawl on a crisp evening. Perfect for a tight-knit night with friends or a romantic rendezvous with that special someone. And speaking of special, our server Gabe was an absolute revelation! His hair—oh, to die for—flowing like a cascading waterfall, and his personality? Simply radiant! He was attentive, charming, and made our dining experience feel like a scene from a delightful Italian film. In summation, this establishment is a must-visit, darlings! You’ll leave with a full belly and a heart brimming with joy. Bravo to the entire team! 🍝❤️✨
I went there a year ago and back in late September 2024. The second time the food was not as good (tasteless chicken parm). The house salad was good, but served in a too small plate. I think I ordered the pasta last year and it was good. It is reasonably priced, but there are probably better options.
Our Sever was very overwhelmed. She was trying hard. We asked if we got soup or salad with our pastas, she said no, but the menu said it was included 🤷♂️. Our mussels were half empty or dired out, she took that off our bill. Offered a complimentary dessert, which was then on our bill..... Our pasta was fantastic.... but seriously get it together with the rest. 👌
Meal was delicious. Had the stuffed chicken. Amazing! Appetizer which was Caesar Salad. Was not the greatest. The exterior needs updating. No lights worked outside so we ended up walking in the dark. Other than that. Great place
This is a beautiful new gem I just had the pleasure of discovering with my gal pal who is Celiac. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable on the ingredients or asked if they didn't know! This made the experience super amazing to be able to go out and enjoy good food and feel safe! My favorite thing was that without even asking (not sure if the bread does come with meals since it was my first visit!) They brought out warm gluten free bread for us! None of our menu options were available to choose from in the ratings but highly recommend the chicken curry penne and the Cajun pasta also looked very appetizing! Everything was so yummy we even stuck around for a shared glass of sangria, which was also VERY delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more!
I went to Vines Pasta Grill & had the Wednesday night pasta buffet. Oh my goodness, it was so good. How much pasta can one eat !? There was about 8 different pastas, a soup, warm bread and mussels ! I tried small portions of most of the pasta, but it was allot of food ! Everything tasted great and the service was great too !
Smaller portions on tasters night but higher priced. Portions were much larger in the past and at a lower price.
It was an exquisite meal. The staff were helpful and friendly.
I absolutely enjoy the food and the service this place provides. Delicious and hot.
Nice spot!
Server was excellent. Enjoyed my birthday dinner.
Staff we great. We were welcomed and seated quickly. Service was friendly and efficient.
Food was Excellent. They have the best pasta and Alfredo sauce.
The atmosphere was great and food was awesome. But our waitress/somalier/supervisor was the best. Thanks so much on our anniversary.
The Chicken Penne pasta was my favorite.Wouldve of been nicer that it wouldve been a bit hotter 1st round :)
Wonderful place. Compleyely unassuming. Great waiter. My gosh he was fun and he was prompt. The FOOD! It was scrumptious. Their lemon dessert was to die for. For each person figure about $35 with a glass of wine. Dietary restrictions: They have some nice gluten free options
We have always had a great experience here pre Covid. We tried pasta bar and it was horrendous. Food quality poor, pasta was cold, congealed and unappetizing. Very disappointed. Will not be returning
My friend and I went to the Taster night for the 3rd time. I love how each course is so tasty and that all the courses flow well together. It is a perfect restaurant for date night, family dinner or just dinner with a dear friend.
Had the pasta buffet and oh my. The pasta was cold and the lasagna tasted like store bought, premade. Partner ordered a coke to drink. Still didnt have it when we left. Asked for the bill and our waitress started giving everyone water fill ups. For what we paid, definitely a waste of money.
Great food, very reasonably priced with friendly and prompt service. Will be my go to spot when I crave Italian!
Had Easter brunch .It was cold tasteless and way to expensive probably the worst I have ever had
A few major issues with this place. Portion sizes are very small. I recall years ago the portions here were massive and that was primarily what the vines was known for. The prices are a little on the high side. The restaurant is extremely echo ey. Children and babies that parents don t mind make the whole meal experience ear wringing. It s horrible, the extreme echo reverberation. So I d suggest you go to a fine dining establishment if you want serenity or peace. Spend the bit extra. The veggie pizza is gross. They cut their vegetables into large chunks. Not appealing. Hardly edible. The complimentary bread is hard as rock, and very hard to cut without cutting your hands. The staff parks their vehicles in the parking lot which is not very friendly to the paying customers. There is even a sign in the small parking lot stating parking lot fills up before restaurant . Really? I am not sure why the owners don t make their staff park on the street. My husband and my two teenage children were ALL very very disappointed and all agreed we d never return to the Vines.
Such a nice place, the waiter was amazing very nice ,kept checking on us ,and the waitress always made sure we had water and the food was amazing !!
Over all good Valentines Day meal. Food was delicious as always. Service was slow and had to ask a few different servers for our bread and waters. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and not organized.
Food was relatively bland... Was quite disappointed as me and the wife where excited about this place
Great and friendly staff.
Food was delicious! Service was amazing! Danielle was killing it tonight! She was awesome!! Can t wait to come back!
Danielle our waitress enhanced our delicious meal with her excellent sense of humour. She s the server that goes the extra mile
We visited this restaurant on a whim tonight and so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress was very sweet. Cant wait to come back again!
When we arrived at Vines, the restaurant was at near capacity. There was a bit of a wait to get our table & service, but it was worth the wait. The bread was so good, the pasta we ordered was so good. I look forward to more of Vines. The staff even though they were extremely busy managed to keep on top of everything.
Wouldn t do takeout on Valentine s Day.
Always delicious. The last waitress I had was amazing. I forget her name but she took such good care of my girlfriend and I and gave me some of the Caesar salad that she said was award winning. She was taller with dark hair and eccentric. Really nice atmosphere too
Im just being very honest here. People love this place, and my visit was the first time for me. The service was borderline terrible, and there was not a lack of staff. We were asked if we wanted a drink prior to the rest of the table arriving. We were there for an additional 1 hour 40 mins, and was not asked if we needed anything else during that time. We opted for the pasta buffet to avoid an additional wait for food. I had to get my own bill from the payment counter so we could leave when we needed to. The mushroom ravioli was okay.
Food was excellent. Service could use work and they still had Christmas decor up in March.
Had a wonderful supper in this unassuming but bustling place. A great spot for a date night or a large family celebration. Our pasta dishes were delicious and tasted homemade. And the Caesar salad was delicious, very garlicky homemade dressing. To make your night extra special I highly recommend their very tasty cocktails - we had a Pinã Colada and a peach Bellini! We ll be back for sure to try their Wednesday night pasta buffet.
Their three-cheese pizza was absolutely delicious. Probably the best pizza that Ive had from a brick and mortar establishment in Westphal.
The food is wonderful, great spot up on the hill! I think they had a sick call the last time I was there bc our server had way too many tables to give anyone good service (not their fault for sure). We made the best of the evening by making a joke about how we never got what we asked for or that all the tables around us sat dirty after people left (for 2hrs). I understand how hard it is to find service staff. If this had been my first time I could see not wanting to return. But this situation had never been the case before. Maybe have some grace for your server if you happen to have a similar experience. Maybe theyll be able to get their staffing issues sorted before the height of summer. Wishing them the best!
Friendly and attentive service. Very tasty food. Good value for the price. Parking: Tricky property for parking in behind and in front of the building. Fills up quickly and a bit awkward to get around other vehicles. More parking available on the street. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the entrance
Excellent food and drinks, great service, free parking.
Lasgana was good
Tasty and very pleasent
Grest food and great service!
Disappointed once again!!! $100 wasted. Veggies were shriveled the scallops were tasteless chicken was dry! Never again. Food is WAY OVER PRICED for the quality
As a person with celiac disease, it s hard to come across safe places for me to eat. I was pleasantly surprised to find Vines come up suggested for gluten free options. I decided to check it out with a friend of mine for supper yesterday and felt the experience was above and beyond what I anticipated! They seemed knowledgeable when I asked about gluten containing items such as sauces, and double checked with the kitchen to make sure. Mostly everything on their menu is able to be modified to be celiac friendly. I had the Cajun fettuccine and it was so delicious and flavourful! Was also pleasantly surprised when then came out with some warm gluten free bread and butter as I was not expecting to be that accommodated at all. Also had their peach sangria and it was very very tasty! I will definitely be returning to try some other menu items and am happy to recommend to fellow celiacs
We did not get a reservation and therefore was not able to eat in. Ordered at the take out spot and took it home to eat. Parking: There are more seats inside than parking spots.
Great food and atmosphere. Loved the special.
I was very disappointed in the service reservation for 5:30 never got service people came in after us got served we a still waiting 6:30 had to ask for meal to go it rond our Anniversary Dinner .I always want to come here but sad say we never be back .
Lovely little gem with great food and lots of it.Service is friendly and capable. The desserts are to die for, especially the creme Brule.
Absolutely delicious food. Never disappoints. Highly recommend the seafood linguine. The desserts are also all made in-house, are a good size and so decadent.
The caesar salad dressing had a bit too much garlic in it for me, but other than that it was great!
I love the atmosphere. So calm and relaxing for a great dinner. Delicious seafood
Tried Vines for the first time last Saturday for my wifes birthday. It was a disappointing experience, to say the least. To start, as soon as we got out of our car we were hit with an overwhelming smell of garlic - it smelled like we were bathing in it. Service was super slow, and definitely not the service youd expect from an expensive restaurant. We waited more than 30 minutes for our starter, for example. The food was pretty bad, actually. We had shrimp as an appetizer - so soaked in garlic they were basically inedible. Then our meals finally came (an hour after we arrived). I had a dish called Tour of Italy, which was the same super garlicy sauce over Fetuccini, chicken parm, and a piece of lasagna. The lasagna tasted very different, as though it had middle eastern or Indian spices instead of Italian. Worst lasagna I have ever had. The chicken parm was good, so one out of three items were edible. When it was time to leave, we spent about 20 minutes trying to get our bill, and then had to stand in a long lineup of about 15 people to wait until we could pay the bill and leave. It felt like we were in a McDonalds lineup. At the cash, I mentioned that they might want to consider getting a few more card machines (apparently they had only one for the entire restaurant), and was met with an owner or manager that argued about the lack of service with me. Absolutely unacceptable to argue with a complaining customer who had just had such a poor experience. We will never be back, for sure. It will take days for the garlic smell and taste, which seemed to permeate all of the food and the restaurant itself like the odour of death. I like garlic....I just dont need to bathe in it. Strongly NOT recommended!
This is my mother s favourite restaurant and she couldn t wait to take me for dinner during my visit to Dartmouth. I had the best seafood pasta in the world and I can confirm, as my mother always claims, the ceasar salad is the best. They serve warm delicious bread to enjoy while waiting for your main dish. Our server Janna made our visit even more amazing as she was very engaging and friendly. We will return each time we are in town, Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly restaurant. They went above and beyond to ensure gluten free meals were safe.
Tasters night is always on my list !!
Have been going to the Vines for years have never been disappointed.
The food it was so bad. I feel bad even writing this but how do you not know how bad the food is? Our server was great.
We picked up take out last Tuesday and the quality was the worsts it s every been in the ~15 years we have been eating here. It s been inconsistent at times but usually some of the items we order are great. Alfredo sauce was bland and separated (i didn t even want to eat my leftovers!), Caesar salad portion was scarce and barely no sauce or toppings. We miss the quality we were used to visit after visit.
Great food, great service, great spot
Wonderful atmosphere, great food and excellent service! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Very nice restaurant
Good food and good service
Waitress forgot our salads and a soup which were included with our meals Parking: Small lot to park Food : 5/5 |
We got pasta here for the 1st time in a long time and things have changed. The caesar salad was so strong that it was inedible and the pasta with the Chicken Parm was tasteless, soggy and drab, although the chicken itself was ok. Not sure whats changed but we were very disappointed. Tiramasu is still good.
Great everything!!! Our waitress jaylynne...was incredible!!! Food
Dishes have changed in the past few years and prices have near doubled. The food is still good, but no difference between other Italian restaurants.
Food was delicious. Staff friendly
We arrived for our 7:30 reservation and were seated right away, got our drinks and gave the server our orders for food,at 8:30 still waiting for food and noticed that other tables were already served even though they arrived after us. The server came and told us that they had a group of 25 upstairs and we would get our food soon,it was after 9 when the food finally arrived,my husband and I ordered the chowder which was cold we were just glad to leave and it is very unlikely we will return.
It is a great place to dine.
Amazing place! Will be back for sure!
Went here for a birthday party. Food was hot and delicious. Service was outstanding. The only thing we didnt like was the fact that we couldnt bring in our own birthday cake unless we paid them $25.00 in order to bring it in. If we had known this beforehand, we would have gone somewhere else where it is allowed to bring in your own birthday cake in. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access with a ramp.
Top ten Tasting menu of the year was an absolute hit. Servers were very well organized and everything seemed to go smoothly for a packed house... Had to take some food home, really love their tasting nights....
Terrific meal and menu selection. Service was impeccable despite being short staffed. Will be returning.
Excellent food and service.
Great food. Great service. Wonderful environment to dine with friends.
My wife and I went here a few weeks back, and we were very impressed by everything from the food to the staff. Before we were seated, I bumped into a kitchen staff, and I asked for a recommendation. Its definitely the best meal weve had in a long time
First time I ate there they got my order wrong I wasn t a big deal. The second time I try to order no one s seems to answer the phone I called multiple times. Two lack lustre experience s.
Always a fun and lively atmosphere with great food.
Wow. For the price, the service, ambience and food are all pretty phenomenal here. Loved everything!
Amazing food and drink, friendly staff. They opened the upstairs dining for us early and it made the first half of our date night feel a little more private and intimate having the entire room to ourselves for about a half hour. Not over-priced, but a little more than the average restaurant, however, the quality of food and service is worth the few extra dollars.
Really tasty pasta. One of the best in HRM. The service was a bit slow but nothing to worry about.
Amazing service, great food. I love the atmosphere!
I was there with my family on Mothers Day, a table of 8. We were told at the time we placed the reservation there would be brunch as well as regular menu. The only option we had was an 8 option menu that we could choose one item from, whether it be fried chicken and waffles to an omelet. There was no open brunch set up nor regular menu. It took us over an hour to get our food. The sausage was missing on one plate once received it was burned on the plates of both people that ordered it. Three of us order chicken and waffles, they were all overcooked and dry with a battered rock hard, another ordered an omelet which was burned on the bottom. When brought to the attention of our server the food that was not prepared properly was replaces, even though some of declined to have the food replaced and opted just to finish our fries and waffles we were told they would bring it anyway and we didnt have to eat it if we didnt want to. The omelet was replaced and again burned underneath. Whole wheat toast was not available nor could we get an English muffin that wasnt buttered. The icing on the cake if you will..... the server was inappropriate in his handling of the service to our group, with all of the mistakes, the poorly prepared food etc we barely received an apology. Over $300 spent on breakfast and over 2 hours to do it. First time at this establishment and probably wont return.
Here is where I struggled with this. I really wanted to like this dinner as it was to celebrate two birthdays and mothers Day. Ill do this in two parts. Ill start with my positive. The server was top notch. Very personable, very attentive, very informative and just made the experience great. Everyone at our table commented on how great he was and how he enhanced the experience. Sadly my meal was sub par and I wouldnt even have given it a three star rating. Id ordered Cajun fettuccine as I was excited for the chicken and sausage combo. I portion my food at home so would estimate that there was about an ounce of chicken breast in the whole dish (this was made up of 4 small bite size pieces of chicken). There was about 6 pieces of sausage to compliment the 4 pieces of chicken. The noodles that came were penne noodles and not fettuccine noodles. The serving size would have been adaquate for a ten year old and for $23.00 this fish just fell way short. Based on the service Id say its a great experience however based on the meal and the quality of the meal Ill stay home next time and just add some seasoning to a can of my kids canned ravioli. As for all my reviews this is my experience. You may find it very different from mine and thats ok. Lots really like the place and its been around for many years. I wish them continued success.
Excellent service, great food, reasonable prices. Great venue for large groups as well. Very pleased.
Amazing dinner service and atmosphere. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was outstanding.
Just Yum!! Must try their Ceasar salad, and the steak I had was absolutely perfect.
Tasters night was excellent, great price for great food.
My husband and I went to the Vines for our anniversary dinner. The service was great. We were seated promptly and the server was pleasant and friendly. We shared mussels for an appetizer. They were plain, but fresh and good. My main course of flambed scallops and shrimp was excellent. They were cooked perfectly and they were served on a bed of perfect el dente pasta. My husband really enjoyed his chicken parmigiana . We both ordered Caesar salad, because the last time we were there, it was really good. One of the best I ve had. This time it was disappointing. The lettuce was not fresh. It was browned around the edges, the croutons, parmesan and bacon bits were obviously prepackaged. There is no way this was an award winning salad as was promoted on the menu. I did complain to the server who apologized and said she would tell the kitchen, but nothing else was done. Hopefully this menu item will improve in the future.
This restaurant is one of few in the city where 5 stars are not enough. The food and the service are beyond stellar. Been going there for many years and their use of fresh ingredients makes their pasta and Caesar salad outstanding.
This place has amazing food but likes to close early. It says on google they close at 9pm. I tried to order out at 8:23 yesterday and the kitchen was closed. I dont think the owner would be happy if they knew their employees were turning people away more than a half hour before closing.
I had the tour if Italy. It was good. The chicken parm was fantastic. Its expensive though.
Very nice meal and great menu, staff were attentive the restaurant had a great feel to it. I look forward to going there again
Love the vibe and ambiance, the food the wine, makes for a lovely evening. Worth visiting.
Excellent food. Great service. Parking: Lots of parking
Something changed about the vines... it used to be good but not anymore. We get it short staffing is an issue but we ask for minimum requirements: water, server to show up without almost begging them to show up. Food is mediocre and not worth the dollar sign you pay for
Absolute worst chicken parm I ever ate, chicken was tuff, asked for extra chicken breasts so Im expecting and for $7.50 it should have been breaded and had the cheese ontop NOPE cut up chunks of chicken in my noodles the sauce was terrible Im fairly certain a frozen TV dinner of chicken parm would have been better will never eat there again save your money.
Amazing meal and the server was fantastic as well. It was my first time going but it definitely wont be the last. The bread made in house was delicious! 100% would recommend!
Love this restaurant it is our favorite... staff friendly and pasta is home made. We go there for every occasion Parking: Parking is harsh to get....the parking lot fills up fast
Excellent service and the food was fantastic. The Salmon special was delicious! a delightful cozy atmosphere inside as well. Highly recommend checking this place out. Parking: Needs more parking spaces.
Wow, went here this evening to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday. Reservation was at 6.30. We were finally served at 8.30, however husbands meal wasn t ready because it wasn t ordered. So we sat and waited for his meal to arrive. I ordered pizza, said I did not want zucchini and yes it was on my pizza. Also asked for extra cheese that I did not get. The service was extremely slow. My friends had order two glasses of wine that they had to ask for again, as it was taking so long to arrive. I had asked a waitress for tea, she said she would tell our waitress, well that never happened. I understand that it was busy but honestly that was by far the worst service, I have ever received. It seemed like things were extremely disorganized and that the staff was struggling to keep up with the amount of guests. I was trying very hard to be understanding but it was just way too much.Oh I almost forgot, plus I had a bottle of caesar dressing to go, that didn t happen either.
Best meal Ive had at a restaurant in many years. Our waitress was fantastic despite being new the job. I highly recommend.
We had our wedding reception here. Delicious food, all of our guests loved it and as the bride I was treated like a queen!! We Came back for our anniversary and were surprised with a brownie (on the house) at the end of our dinner. What can I say, this restaurant holds a special place in my heart. Edited review: the last time we went there, they served us a plate of seafood linguine with so much garlic they might have thought we were vampires. Quality has gone downhill unfortunately. I still have a fond memory of this place, but Italian pasta is not about tons of garlic, sorry we don t use this much garlic in our food. It was a disservice to the authentic seafood linguine.
The food was exceptional. While it would be a bit expensive pre-pandemic perhaps, post pandemic it is very reasonable. When you compare it to other restaurants in the pandemic era, the quality and the generous portions left me pleasantly shocked. It was a true gastronomic experience. I will most certainly be returning when I am in the area and perhaps even try dining in to experience the ambiance. If there were 6 stars this would most certainly qualify.
The menu was fairly priced. The staff were super friendly, even to our 5 and 3 year old. Made our dinning experience relaxing and comfortable. The food was absolutely unreal. Everyone LOVED their meal Kid-friendliness: They were soooo friendly to our children!
Had a horrible experience at Vines this evening,November 24,22. Our first visit during winter months though. Prior to this,it was summer visits. It was so bitterly cold in the attic or top floor. Different patrons, was complaining and laughing that there was no heat. The waitress said , it was an old building and takes time to warm up. After an hour and more complaints, they brought up two old inefficient heaters. They did not suffice as three candles would have been just as adequate! Not being sarcastic either. Two and a half hours there and froze to the bone. Never removed winter jacket. Subsequently, this area should be closed off if not heated. Home now,in front of heat pump, 23 degrees with two bean bags, winter coat , toque and sipping on hot tea to try and warm up my internal temperature! The food was just okay and I wouldn t suggest it to anyone! A disappointing almost $100. Indeed, a disgruntled patron!
Fine food for feasting with friends. Gracias Mille Food
Amazing buffet and staff are always friendly. If you love pasts come here!
This is the champion buffet restaurant in the Halifax Community Vote. There are seven different kinds of pastas with salads and soup. The buffet is only available on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Therefore, its lucky to meet my favorite pasta here today though I didnt get it on the Saturday before. In addition, the service girls here are quite considerate. Its pleasant to have a dinner here with tasty foods and them. For summary, its excellent for me to have a great dinner here tonight. Parking: There are free parking lots. Kid-friendliness: There are seven types of pastas. Its good place to bring children. Wheelchair accessibility: Its fine for wheelchair to enter the restaurant.
Had a wonderful meal at the November Tasters Night early sitting. Food and service were top notch. The only thing that ruined it was the fact that it was so COLD! I hate eating with my coat on.
Excellent food and service. While entrance is not appealing - don t be fooled! Food and service is exceptional. Had the shrimp and scallop flambé - delicious. Followed by the After Eight cheesecake - service is top notch!
I really enjoyed the food.
Tasters night. Wasnt my favorite. We went at 8pm. This was late. Finished at 1045. Would not recommend the hot apple cider. Was very bland.
One of the best places for a nice dinner in the city. Delicious pasta, bread, and fabulous Caesar salad with an house-made dressing. Their deserts and wine list are very nice as well. They have excellent covid protocols
All of the staff was absolutely amazing, unfortunately my chicken was overcooked, and my vegetables undercooked. (Still tasted great, but not as enjoyable as I had hoped). I will return and try a pasta dish, as that is what they are famous for.
Attended the Taters Night Jan 28 2021. The whole evening was a disaster. The waiter spilled a full glass of water in my partners purse ruining the purse and destroying some contents. When my partner complained the waiter replied its only water. The meal was horrible, luke warm soup, passable salad, cold potatoes and stuffed chicken breast. The lobster linguini was also cold and when we complained the waiter offered to microwave it . My partner called the following day to speak about our service and there was no answer or returned call. Save your money and dine elsewhere, these new owners do not appreciate the customer.
The Vines is always great. The food is fantastic and the staff know how to help in every way. Its a well managed restuarant.
A little too busey very loud
Great pasta for the price.
This is our favorite restaurant in the HRM. Always great food and service. We had our wedding reception there is 2018 and the service continues be top notch.
Great service, but the food was the most bland food Ive ever had a restaurant in my life. Almost everything down to the butter they gave me with the bread was bland (the bread was the only good part.) Why this place is so highly rated genuinely confuses me.
My wife and I made a spur of the moment decision to eat out tonight and were disappointed with the experience. The appetizer (calamari) was rubbery, the caesar salad used only the white foot of the romaine lettuce and we had to send my wifes seafood linguine back as it was watery and tasteless. We are not fussy eaters and rarely complain, but the only good thing about this meal was our server Sarah, who was great and credited back the cost of the returned meal. I should add that we have visited here a few times over the years and this was our first less than desired experience.
Great food and excellent service, our server Kelsey was a breath of fresh air.. super friendly and very accommodating...always a nice place for a meal
Good food, and good local restaurant.
Love the charm that eminates! Warm, and Intimate ....Food was delicious! And the service was wonderful .
Food and service was beyond amazing, it was ny first time but wont me my last.
Great food and a great atmosphere.
I just adore the homemade desserts here. I like being able to pop in and pick up a treat from the take out spot.
Food was very good as usual
I dont even like Italian food but Vines is awesome.
My favorite restaurant in Nova Scotia. Big servings and incredible taste
Food is always delicious. A little pricey but worth it. Definetly better eating in.
Have always loved it here, from dine in to take out. Vines has looked after us for years. Awesome food choice, quality and portion. Their known for their dinners, but they have amazing breakfasts as well. How about this? Stop reading my review and order something for yourself. Youll be glad you did.
Very good food
We love Vines. The food is delicious. The staff is excellent.
Chowder was too salty. Salmon was pan fried and oily. Price was too high for low quality.
As always A1 service, great tasting food...beautiful atmosphere!!
Excellent food and service highly recommend
It was a great night out to dinner. Great service . Great food. Reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
My gf went here today and she told me the service was amazing and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Love the vines. Pasta is always so good!
This place is 10/10 delicious! The Caesar salad is to die for as is the rest of their dishes! It even travels well for take out all the way to Hammonds plains.
Staff was excellent, however restaurant was very warm (guessing high 20s), but we were on the top floor of a warm summer evening. Food was not bad (7/10) although caesar salad was 10/10.
There food is so fresh and high quality. Serves was very well done. The restaurant size was perfect so it didnt feel like you were to close to other ppl. I cant wait to eat there again!!
Awesome, delicious, friendly staff, super clean and safe!
Really good pasta and the staff are super friendly and provide great service.
Food is excellent and large helpings. Their Cesar salad is probably among the best I have had( lots of garlic).
Had a wonderful night out at Vines with 9 of my closest friends. The food was excellent and Ian, our Waiter for the evening, did a superb job, answering any questions and ensuring we had everything we needed. It was an all around perfect evening...thanks Vines !
They are more than happy to tweak an menu item. Service was spot on and the food is always great.
I went to Vines Pasta Grill for the first time last evening. This review is for our server FAITH, she deserves ten stars for her customer service. She went way above and beyond. THIS REVIEW IS FOR YOU FAITH.
Nice restaurant, delicious food.
Excellent food and service. Thank you Danielle (Denise)
The food and service were both fantastic, highly recommend.
My husband and I love The Vines. The food is delicious. I d love to see it updated on the inside and more lighting in the parking lot. The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Food was excellent and there service was equally as good. Enjoyable evening was gad by all.
Excellent food awesome staff and good atmosphere
Staff was AMAZING and the food....I have no words for how perfect the food was
Best weekend brunch in town.
Great variety of food on the menu.
For one person, the total came to almost $65, the food was horrible, extremely small portions, tasted like microwaved frozen diner, bread with no butter, no utensils & overly priced.
What a beautiful place friendly staff great food most enjoyable, would be nice though to have a patio with all that great view you guys have ,you have the space to do it hint hint keep up the good work guys...
Food and service was amazing. One of my favorite restaurants
Love the Vines. Great food and service
Loved the place and food! Good idea to do reservation before you visit
Delicious food. Excellent service. We had lots of fun!
Seafood chowder was phenomenal. Service was pleasant. Atmosphere was rustic.
Awesome food and customer service
Excellent food great service.
Very nice place. Very low key and tasty
I had the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer then salmon with Caesar salad. The entire meal was incredible. Homemade Caesar dressing was perfect! Price is very responsible for what you get.
