This used to be our favorite place, but the last two times have been very disappointing. We ordered the dinner for 3 and the chicken balls werent fully cooked, the soup had 2 tiny pieces of cut up noodles and thats all, and there was barely any meat in the beef and mixed vegetables. Something is very different now with how things are prepared.

Kid-friendliness: It is a place where children can be peacefully. There is no noise pollution. Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair fits perfectly in the entrance.

So consistent every time! Their Hong Kong noodle with beef and soy sauce is amazing! My other favourites are Spicy Seafood, rice noodle with beef and black bean sauce, and definitely get the beef dumplings. Everything is good.

Great service, good food I like how it comes out in stages, soup first then egg rolls then the main course. Our 2.5yr olds were a little noisy the staff and other patrons were very understanding. We also had a lot of leftovers to bring home. Kid-friendliness: They had 2 highchairs. Not sure how many more they had. They were very!! Clean!!

Stopped in after work and ordered Honey Garlic Spare Ribs only to get all the way home to once again find they might as well have been shoe leather! Has happened for the last time. I even tried asking to please not overcook them when I placed my order. Tired of wasting approximately $17 on an inedible dish. I don t live right around the corner so I called to let them know not so much as a sorry or offer to make it right. I normally enjoy their food and have ordered often but will go elsewhere from now on. Awful customer service.

After 40 yearsof enjoying their food, I am sad to say that I will not be ordering ever again. They are so stingy with meat. Beef especially. They used to give you so much. Now a full order isnt enough for 1 person, when we used to share with 6 people. Now its mostly onions. They raised the prices as every restaurant has but cut the meat portions down to a sample.

I walked in on new years eve after working all day and not ordering ahead. I was prepared for them to be too busy to take my order. When I walked in, theyre tables were filled with customers and other tables were filled with takeout orders ready to go. I asked if I could place an order. The young man asked one of the ladies, who instructed me to follow her. I placed my order, and 20 minutes later I left with my order. It was hot and tasty. Thanks for accommodating me on a crazy busy night. I truly appreciated the service and a hot meal after working all day. I will definitely be back!

The restaurant itself is definitely out of date. The waitress was very friendly and kind. The beef dumplings were delicious. I ordered the chicken soo gai, and my sister ordered the spicy chicken combo. My order was quite good for its price, but the spicy chicken was very salty. They should add less salt to the dish. Everything else was alright. I ve ordered the spicy chicken combo before, and sometimes it s delicious, sometimes it s too salty to eat. There is problems with the consistency of the food, but would recommend the soo gai and beef dumplings. Overall, the price for a combo is good. You get a soup, a beef dumpling, an egg roll, and a fried wonton wrapper. (We ordered an extra side of beef dumplings and egg rolls)

The worst chinese food I have ever had. We have been going there since the early 90s. We took a break since covid started until August 242023. Not the same food or quality we enjoyed for so many years. I will not be going back. Wonton soup was so over cooked it was muck and tasteless. The gravy for the chicken soo guy was gross. Gravy was almost see-through and tasted liked som kind of gelatin goop. We flushed it and heated up a can of gravy. The chicken was tough and chewy so I gave up on it. Krabi Rangoon was great. Beef chop suey was good. The Mushroom Egg Foo Young was ok but it had no gravy on it. I will miss the old Tai Yan we went to for so many years.i looked a the pictures others posted and ours looked nothing like that unfortunately. I wish I had thought to take pictures. I will add one note, we order our food an hour before closing. Regardless of that if they cant fill an order properly than they should let you know and give yourself the option to cancel until another time. Should never serve inferior products and risk losing a customer. Also, food was cold and had to nuke it all!

Just picked up my Xmas eve order. Walked in and several orders were there waiting. I got my order, tipped very well, and took my order. I saw that the bag was a bit wet on top, but I was in a rush to get home to family so I left. When I got home and examined the bag, it was a mess. Soya sauce was everywhere, even on the egg rolls. Nothing was hot. Also, I didn t get my free order of veg chop suey. My wife called and all they would do is give 10% off next order. There will not be a next time. I was prompt in picking up my order, so the food should not have been sitting there barely warm. This was unacceptable. Food is in the oven right now, warming it to the temp it should have been. Very disappointed. So after reading a few of their reviews, I now understand. We rarely order Chinese food, but whenever we did is was from Tai Yin, and was always good, no complaints. I simply forgot and didnt clue in from the new name Tai Yan. New owners, simply not the same. Well be ordering elsewhere.

We did not enjoy our experience with the food tonight. I picked it up just after 4pm. I live down the street. We dished is out and it was ice cold! This place came highly recommended from a coworker and Im just not impressed at all. We wont be ordering again!

Placed a large order last night. It was all there and everything tasted excellent!

Food gone down hill big time. Been ordering here for 15 years. The last year has been getting worse. Food ALWAYS cold and live 3 minutes. Place order and it will be ready in 10 minutes! How do you cook food and package it up in 10 minutes. I think everything is pre-cooked and just thrown in microwave. Obviously not cooked fresh. Well after 15+ years gonna find another Chinese place. Not the only one complaining about cold food...seems to be a common problem here. All you did was compensate for a bad meal with another meal with problems again, so I requested the delivery for the second mishap. I was not going out again for the second mistake. Done with this one

We just ordered BBQ pork fried rice and mushroom chop suey. It was WONDERFUL! The vegetables were crisp, BBQ pork was lean and tasty. Rice was tasty and not greasy.

We waited an hour and a half for the food but thats okay it was Christmas eve . We both had a stomach ache the next morning. We didnt prefer the rice it had a smoke or burnt taste.

I ordered the Family Deluxe for two last night and am disgusted with the order. The eggrolls were refried. The shrimp was bad. The fried rice was just regular rice with some chicken pieces. The beef and greens was overcooked. All in all it was horrible. I have ordered from there before and it was always good but not this time. I will really have to think about ordering from them again. 35.00 wasted

Friendly staff, great food. Had an issue with an order probably a month back regarding the meat spring roll. Its honestly not much meat in it so we thought it was vegetarian, but they were willing to give us new spring rolls for free despite the fact the issue was our misunderstanding.

Horrible delivery..burned my hand trying to get things out of bag..liquid all over. Mild General Taos chicken was burning it was so spicy. Offered 20% on next order as compensation..I spent over $170.00 and would never get a next order. I would never recommend this place.

Thank you for a delicious meal! Friendly staff was able to accommodate our substitution request on a group dinner. Food was hot and well packaged for us to take home. Our favourite items were emperor beef and lemon chicken. The group dinner provides plenty of food, leftovers will be great for lunch tomorrow.

Visited Tai Yin Palace for Valentines and Im was absolutely blown away!! it looks a bit dark from the outside (no windows) but the food was absolutely delicious!!! The staff were so nice and i cant wait to go back!!

Food was terrible. The wonton soup was so sooo salty that my wife and I couldnt even eat it. We ordered it for take out but that shouldnt mean that you give terrible food to the people that dont eat in restaurant. This was our first time coming here and we will never eat here again. We have ordered here many times take out and enjoyed the food. However the last two times have had missed food ordered items and quality of food has been subpar. The honey garlic ribs were like cardboard and not cheap. The chicken soo guy was over cooked/dry. When tried to express our concerns to owners they wanted to credit our account. This does not address the quality of the food or the poor customer service. This is disappointing as we have been long standing and loyal customers of this business.
