Absolutely delicious like I took my first bite and thought I died and went to heaven, I am a foodie I love food and I found my new favorite place to eat great quality and excellent quantity the gyros double thumbs up, I am so pleased with my order I am so full and happy I will definitely continue to eat from here, honestly if I could rate it more then a five, food is off the charts

Bad costumer service

Very good portions of fries and meat, but something has changed. The meat seems more beef like, not like something fresh off the spit. Still a busy place, I m just picky about my gyros.

Ordered a Chicken Shwarma, worst pita Ive had EVER!! Three small strips of ckicken on the whole pita, flavourless, (probably because the whole thing was literrally lettuce and a few pieces of tomato), and to top it all off, the chicken was cold! Sofos is sub par!!

I always get the gyro...and its a lot. If you take it to go, consider having an extra pita and split one into two, especially if you also get fries.

Ive been eating the assorted submarine for well over 15 years now and never have I been disappointed. Whenever anyone asks where they can get a great sandwich, I always suggest Sofos. 10/10 in my book.

I recently ordered a gyro from this Greek restaurant, hoping for an authentic experience. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The meat was dry and lacked the robust, savory flavor typical of a true Greek gyro. The pita bread was more like a standard wrap, not the fluffy, warm bread I was hoping for and the fries were raw. The tzatziki sauce was bland and sparse, failing to bring the dish together. Overall, this gyro was a disappointing imitation of the real thing.

When ever someone talks about gyros I always remembered this place. There are other places to go its true but this location stands out to me. They re generous with their portions and there isnt a long wait time for a gyros order and the staff was pleasant to deal with even though it had been a along time since I been there. Positive experience overall.

Best gyros anywhere....and they have a lot of more great Greek food.

Been there twice in a week and wasnt feeling well after having Gyro original! It was a good size portion, the first time not enough tzatziki sauce, felt dry, but the second time I had asked for extra. Whats the outrage price for fries $5+. What for?? They are fries!! The place needs a little more TLC, floors need to be more cleaned and same with the washroom.

I have always been a fan of sofos! Their Greek salads are my fav in all of Windsor! I just love putting fries in it! Tonight I came across their greek fries supreme so I ordered it and OMG it is the most amazing thing I have ever eaten it is all my Greek salad/fry dreams come true. Seriously so damn good!

I would give this a 3.5/5 if I had the option. I got a Large Chicken Greek salad which came out to $18.00 in total. I didnt ask about receiving pita with it as this is usually pretty standard. It did not come with any pita. The salad itself was great (good toppings and dressing flavour) but the chicken was very mediocre. It was a tiny portion and lacking in flavour. Overall - overpriced for what you get unfortunately.

It was better before I dont know what changed but buns are hard dont care for the subs anymore

Sofos is a great restaurant and their food and service is great as well.

Spend $15 and get the biggest gyro you ve ever had!! And the portion of fries that comes with it is equivalent to a full basket of fries. Wow! In today s economy, you re usually disappointed when you spend around $15 for a meal, but I m pleasantly humbled by Sofos portions and flavour. Outstanding!!

Best Greek food in the city

Sofos has some of the best subs and wraps in Windsor. Staff is lovely and works hard to get your order out quickly. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone thats in the area. Vegetarian options: Veggies subs ! Parking: Parking lot is quite small in behind the building Kid-friendliness: Lots of options on the menu for kids !

Windsors iconic Gyros and my only Gyro destination. Sofos has been around for decades and their Gyros are the same now as when they first opened. Amazing portions, prices, and most importantly.. taste.

Been ordering here on and off for years, and the food has really went downhill recently. The gyro meat today had an odd smell to it and tasted awful. The fries were mostly unsalted and undercooked. I could ve sworn that they also used to have a seasoning salt for their fries, but it s just salt now. We will be ordering here less going forward.

Food is decent ! Says voted Windsor best gyro but it tastes like Windsor most MEH gyro. Have had better gyro at other places in Windsor. Have had their gyro multiple times and I m always left disappointed . They barley put tzaziki sauce on it. If you want Windsor s TRUE best gyro try Greek pita on Wyandotte or donair house east. Way better im not even affiliated but just a true gyro fan

I have enjoyed Sofos for many years now, and it has always been good food, large portions, good price point for what you get. And they are FAST! They are hustling, working their butts off you can tell! Thank you for all the pick up orders I have grabbed, tired from a days work, and just wanting to go home! My favourite : the classic gyros, and the chicken shawarma, fries are yumny, and salade (dressing) always good. Keep up the good work :)

Pickup order, no tip button on the machine acknowledged the push, but would not proceed. Had to do a custom amount. $18.81 for a chicken Greek salad. + Top for takeout. With like 6 cubes of chicken. Byyyyyeeee! Donair House for me!!

Gyro meat is always cold from here..... would be 5 If they took the time to heat up the meat.

Love this little restaurant. Food is amazing and good portions always . Tonight little different I ordered through skip the dishes and the driver messed the bags up. I called and they fixed my order immediately. I offered to pick it up and they were absolutely amazing. Went above and beyond thank you so much. My belly is full and family is happy.

The staff at Sofos worked in such an efficient manner during a very busy time. I was waiting amongst several other individuals - and witness how smoothly everything was assembled and made. They had customers in and out very quickly. Food was well prepared, delicious, and well portioned

Best greek restaurant in town just my personal opinion

Always good food and good portions at Sofos. The gyros are heavy, no shortage of meat in there. The salads are also a good size and they have the best greek dressing in the city. Dont skip the honeyballs no matter how full you are or you will regret it. Mine didnt last long enough for a photo, oops!

I was very dissatisfied. Maybe it was just because I showed up right before closing time. But it was very sloppy and was almost thrown together, seemed like they were just rushing.

2 times this week I got beef/lamb gyros with extra garlic and extra tzatziki and sofo hot sauce and all I can say is sooooooo delicious! I cant wait to come back next week for work to have the lamb/beef gyros. I live in Sarnia. I work in windsor through out the week. This place packs the gyros so much! So much meat! I love it! You guys are awesome. Cant wait to go back again! Pictures didnt make it to the review as I was too hungry. Thank you to the staff that made my food!

Maybe this was a one off bc usually the food is better, this time my gyro was barely even warm, the gyro meat inside was cold and it was dine in so it shouldve been hot.

Ordered a Gyro with fries it was fresh it was hot. I just say it was lacked in enough sauce to cover the meat. There is a substantial amount of meat on the pita. The fries are delicious & seasoned 18$ for meal

Havent been here in years. Stopped in to pick up a cheese sub. The bread was delicious but the cheese is processed (plastic cheese). Grosse!

Tried their beef/lamb gyro for the first time and their classic honey balls and WOW! Amazingly flavourful gyros with just the right amount of sauce. The honey balls were warm and fresh with a noticeable taste of cinnamon. I now want to try everything on the menu so I will definitely be back again, and again, and again.

I recently came to Sofos for the first time in about 17 years. It was just as delicious as I remembered it. The food is so good. I was however, extremely disappointed by the service. First, upon entering the restaurant, no one greeted me and everyone looked angry and miserable. I ordered despite this because everyone has a bad day. As I was waiting, I overheard a conversation the employees were having about someone who called in... it sounded like it may have been a complaint. The blonde lady kept on repeating herself very loudly saying was it a chick, was it a chick?.... it was very unprofessional. I got my food and was dining in. Soon after a man who had ordered online came in. His order wasnt ready. They hadnt made his fries. He was upset and questioned them. The blonde lady very rudely responded to him stating it was their policy to wait until the customer walks in tp drop the fries. He was worried because he was a transport driver and he parked on the road to quickly run in. He tried to explain that he couldnt wait, but the blonde lady said well thats our policy, do you want your money back. He said no, he was hungry. He got his food and ran out the door. I felt bad for him. After he left, they were talking about him... again, in a very unprofessional way. The blonde mentioned how many people complain about the fries. Obviously their policy is not clear to those who order online. She just went on and on and made it seem like it was a nuisance to her. It was disappointing. And then she started talking about her personal life. Why? Why do I need to hear that. I definitely will not be in a rush to dine in again.

Greek Salad with Gyro meet was Awesome...Definitely disappointed with the Honey Balls. Opened the container at work to find soggy puffy honey balls, not the crispy outer shell with glaze like Im use to. Food is expensive, I hope it would be packaged efficiently to hold its true form and crispness.

Stopped for lunch on our way to the airport, and were super impressed! The food was delicious; huge portions too (my leftovers were enough for dinner). Our waitress was very kind and attentive, and everything was clean, bright and cute. Highly recommend making a stop! Food

Our usual Greek place was closed, so one of my loved ones suggested Sofos. Very good choice, as the food was excellent, and the young woman who served us was happy, smiley, and charming. Definitely will return - on purpose this time.

WOW!!!! Is all I can say. I am from Alberta and arrived to visit Windsor. Our 1st stop was to grab a quick bite of Greek food. What a treat. We each tried a different gyro so we could share. The portions were so generous we could have shared the salad and gyro. However, we wouldnt have got to enjoy each one if we split it. Then we had the honeybalz /loukoumades, DELICIOUS! Must be a new owner. Quality of food has gone DOWN. A salad that I could always count on to be fresh and crispy was raunchy and cleary out if a bag. And an old bag at that. This isnt the first time this has happened. Havent gone for a year because I thought that maybe they were getting over covid so I thought Id try this week. Nothing short of gross. Wont be back.

Theres employees here who look at me and make fun of me every time they are on the same shift I order something. The young girl with long black hair and blue eyes and the short black girl. During my most recent visit the girl with blue eyes and a customer were looking at each other and looking at me. They were smiling jokingly at each other after saying something, but I dont know what. They were holding a laugh and made sure I knew it was about me. The black girl joined them. Then they gave me my ham sandwich last after 3 people I ordered ahead of. They ordered fully cooked combos that required grilling and came with fries. And mine was sitting on the counter wrapped and in the white paper sub bag, ready to go for at least 5 minutes. European style restaurants are rude people!

Tried their sandwiches for the first time. It was very fresh and tasty. Portion was good and worthy. Loved it.

I was told this place was incredible, but its probably only good by Windsor standards. The toppings are limited and extremely bland. Not worth the twenty minute wait. Its really only as good as Subway.

The atmosphere is simple so there is nothing about it that is bad its just not candles and tablecloths. Far more important is that the food and quantity of food was both good and fantastic.
