My friend and i went for dinner. She had the pasta and tomato basil sauce. She loved hers. I had the arancini and beet salad. I loved how it was different from your typical arancini; it had black rice with a white sauce. It was delicious.

We absolutely love coming here - its our second time and we will be back! The food is seriously delicious and the service is top-notch. Rachel is so kind and really helped us pick out the perfect dishes that fit with our dietary needs - shes a total sweetheart! And Sandra is such a hoot, its always fun talking to her. But lets not forget about their ricotta cheesecake...its a must-have. Keep up the great work ladies!

Incredible food and even better service!

Rushed service, unhelpful staff, and a hefty $250 bill for two. Despite claims of needing our table by 7, we left to find many vacant ones. A disappointing and overpriced dining experience.

Frankly just an incredibly unprofessional restaurant. If you want to charge premium pricing, provide premium service. Thank you Sandra Tilly for responding to a reservation made a week later that it was unavailable. Get it together, provide quicker response times, call even! We leave our numbers for a reason. Not to mention - This restaurant anti-poverty. Denying gift cards on Valentines day? It is Illegal. The Consumer Protection Act bans most retail business gift cards from having an expiry date. This means a gift card can be used to its full value no matter when you decide to use it. The act also requires that all restrictions and conditions must be stated in clear and visible writing for the customer.

My wife and I love Ciao Cucina. Bianca and Sandra truly enjoy what they do and provide an excellent ambiance, great staff and fantastic food. The menu changes with the seasons so you can try something different each time you go. Food is some of the best in Windsor. Quality over quantity. We ll be back again and again.

Portions too small. Enjoyed the Beet salad, the pasta trio was tasty but left the restaurant hungry.

Was excited to try out this restaurant, but will never go back. Calamari was not edible, arancini were good. Salads were sub par. The gnocchi was decent, but the stuffed chicken was over cooked and lacked flavour. Very dissatisfied, even charged for our calamari appetizer that was not edible.

Amazing place. The food is absolutely fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional. The effort and detail of the chef to prepare and plate the meals, the attentiveness of the staff, to the preparation of the cocktails, made it an amazing evening.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time at a restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere were top notch. Nice but cozy, timely and welcoming staff, and the food was nothing short of amazing. They take traditional and what I consider to be comfort food components and elevate them in a way that totally impressed me. Veal, duck, ribeye, scallops, high quality pasta (you can very much taste the difference!), high quality cheeses, the freshest vegetables, mushrooms, proteins, fish that tastes and feels like it was just caught that day, absolutely perfect seasoning to everything, I could go on and on. My favorites in particular were the arancini (black rice, bechamel, lemon & garlic aioli, arugula, asiago), the pappardelle (braised muscovy duck, smoked bacon, pear, duck broth) and the tre assaggi (fettucce alfredo, veal parmigiana, lasagna rosette). A group of us went and we each tried each others because everything just sounded so good and these in particular were absolutely delicious. I like that they have a create your own option as well, though it would be even better if veal or duck were an option on it. All in all an excellent experience. Also, they have gluten free upon request. Normally anything gluten free I try I always find it extremely unappetizing, but Ciao Cucina Nuova must have some kind of special secret because their gluten free versions were incredible. The flavor and texture were not that typical weird gluten free taste or texture. They were so good! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free upon request

Wonderful place to have a dinner, excellent food and wine, octopus wonderful prepared like in Europe, sea fish could stop to eat. Congratulations for an wonderful menu in this area.

Great food, great atmosphere. Loved our server Maya. We went for a girls night and it was perfect on a weeknight! We also had severe allergies to nuts and seeds and they were able to accommodate. Highly recommend.

We ordered the black rice arancini, the focaccia, the bass and the mushroom chicken. The focaccia was very good, nice and crispy, fluffy, well seasoned and it was accompanied with ricotta. The bass came in a lazily constructed parchment envelope that when opened, revealed a mushy stringy slop of leeks, a fall apart piece of protein not even resembling bass. The cacio de Pepe orzo came with the bass, it was entirely bland but otherwise cooked fine. The green beans were not edible due to the excess amount of salt. The mushroom chicken had nearly the same mushy watery texture as the bass, it was almost as if the chicken was breaded before it was cooked and then left to steam to remove any texture that the breading should have built. The mushroom sauce was unremarkable, and truthfully had no flavour profile I can remember aside from a watery cream of even though I just tasted it some hours ago. The spinach gnocchi was shaped in nice generous portions, had a firm but bouncy texture but it too picked up the bland watery mushroom sauce from the chicken. There was a 40 minute wait between the appetizer and the main even though there was one other table being served. The service was apologetic, which was nice of them. This could have been an off night in the kitchen, but due to the amount of amateurish decisions made when preparing the food, and unsurprisingly both my wife and I ended up being sick the rest of the night, we will not be returning.

What a lovely, charming experience! We brought our parents for their birthdays and were hoping for great food in a nice, welcoming atmosphere - and got exactly that. Started with wine and cocktails, there were super selections. The food was outstanding, from presentation, to portion, to taste. Staff was very friendly and courteous. With all that the bill was entirely fair and we felt we had great value for money. Heartfelt recommendations all around!

Our first visit to Ciao Cucina Nuova last night after a friend s recommendation. As foodies who have eaten all over the world and countless times in Italy this meal was as good if not better than we ve ever had. The food was outstanding, delicious, well presented and entrees piping hot. Service was excellent. It would have been nice if the front of the house owner had come to our table as she did to others who seemed to be regulars. We will return for sure. Thank you for a great experience

Words fail me. This was an exquisite culinary experience. Dont come here if you want to take home half a huge portion, come here if you want to taste the nutmeg in the Alfredo sauce around the gorganzola. Ambience perfect. Hostess crew, perfect. Great food and atmosphere!

We just came into Lakeshore and want something great for dinner and found Ciao Cucina Nuova with some high reviews. Call for an early dinner reservation but they could not accommodate us till 7:30pm. So we decided to try takeout. Got there at 5:30 and put in our orders. Decided to try their Trio (fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna and chicken parmigiana) just to test the waters and validate the great reviews we saw. Well the takeout took 30 minutes and still there was only 2 tables with guests. I thought why couldn t we have a sit down dinner for 2?? Mmmm? Finally we had the Trio, sat in the car and had dinner just so the food didn t deteriorate. My wife said the pasta was nice and the lasagna sauce was tasty. I m thinking she was being very generous. The fettuccine Alfredo was runny, the lasagna had some flavour but was a 2 by 2 inch portion. And the chicken parmigiana was just okay. Overall I would not give them high marks for high quality, flavour profile just wasn t there. Not a place I would try again when I come into town.

Ciao Cucina Nuova is without a doubt THE BEST restaurant in all of Essex County!! The homemade gnocci carbonara with pancetta is spectacular! And the unique Caesar dressing they put on their salad is one-of-a-kind!!! They should start selling their sauces and dressings to take home We always bring take-out home for my parents who especially love the lasagna, the Bolognese sauce and the veal/chicken/eggplant parmesan. Dessert is a MUST, but choosing a favourite is too difficult! Theyre all scrumptious The new location is very convenient along the expressway and we love the ambiance. Very beautiful, modern and classy. The owners are so friendly and they have the most wonderful staff who always go above and beyond to provide excellent service and top quality delicious meals. 5+++++ stars in every category for Ciao!!!

Came here for my 21st birthday party at the end of august! They had made sure nobody else was on the patio and dressed up the area so beautiful! Food was great and the owner was amazing and apologized for some small inconveniences and gave a detailed explanation on any questions I had. Food was fantastic, my favourite Italian in the area.

We discovered this gem back when it was on Erie Street and we are thrilled that they have relocated to Lakeshore, as it has become our go to dining experience. The cuisine is absolutely incredible with flavour and presentation something we look forward to. Above all, the Owners passion and integrity, elevate the great energy of this outstanding establishment!

[UPDATE: This is not a bad review; rather, an honest one. Anyone spending $250+ and therefore seeking a dining experience should know what they could expect. In response to the disappointing comment from the owner, per our review our server was not around to discuss our service nor our meal. While we ate the food, it is a gross oversight for any owner to assume that food consumed means content experience. We were hungry because we ate light all day in anticipation of what we thought would be a culinary experience. We consumed because we knew that a hefty bill was coming our way independent of anything that we could say about the experience during the experience. We could have eaten anywhere; this was such a disappointment for a special occasion. Again, will not return and will share our lukewarm experience with other foodies. That you stand by very bad service speaks volumes about you and your restaurant]. We came here to celebrate an adult birthday on a Tuesday evening (and there was no acknowledgment of the occasion, not at the beginning when we arrived nor at the end): We had a reservation but when we arrived we were told to just pick from one of two tables (the one by the door or in the hallway area) and we were not taken there the way a host normally does; The bottle of wine came already opened at our table (sorry, this should be opened at the table, a curious practice which suggests that our server was neither capable or perhaps not trusted to perform this most basic of services for a server at the table); our entree took 45-50 minutes to arrive without so much as an update from our server on the wait; the entrees arrived but there was no silverware so we waited for that whilst the food sat at the table; the server passed us five times (I counted) and never checked in with us; she asked us about the meal as she cleared the somewhat empty plates. Lastly, we thought presentation/plating wise, there was very little difference between the lamb shank entree and the coq au vin entree. Truthfully, while the taste was good they were sloppily put together. The food was flavourful and well thought out but for a bill well over $200, which could have been more had we stayed for dessert, coffees, and Brandies, you expect so much more. Will not return nor recommend.

Great food and atmosphere!

First time there this week. Love the atmosphere. Food was amazing. I had the Sweet Potato Gnocchi and it was maybe the best gnocchi I ve had anywhere ! Can t wait to go back.

Very nice dining experience, the restaurant is decorated beautifully. Our waitress was lovely, the food- especially the homemade noodles were delicious. Did not leave the restaurant full even after ordering an appetizer as well. My only suggestion would be to increase portion sizes! Would also be nice to include some kind of bread with the meal :)

Awesome place!! Love the food and the atmosphere. Been here a couple times and have never been disappointed. Our waitress Amanda was absolutely AMAZING!!! She was so attentive and helpful but SO fun- kept us laughing and entertained the whole night. Highly recommend this place for a night out and we LOVE Amanda if you ever get the chance to have her.

We went there for dinner with my friends.the drink selection is not great if dont drink wine Then we shared appetizers which were good. Then my friend and I wanted to share a caesar salad which we only received once we got our meal because I said to cancel the order instead they brought it. It tastes vinaigrette instead of creamy garlic didnt like it at all. I did create your own pasta which the serving was kind of small for the price. Very pricey for what you get it was good but I had better dinner elswhere for cheaper Dont think Ill ever go back

Amazing. Relaxed but attentive service. FANTASTIC food. Gnocchi are the best you might actually ever have and the chicken parm was literally perfect, blush sauce (red and white mixed) was amazing. Fair price for the attention to detail. This chef has it.

The servers were very helpful going back and forth to the kitchen to make sure which items were vegan :) all gluten free pastas were vegan, none of the fresh ones were. Had aglio e olio sauce and lots of veggies. They added cubed tofu. They also made a special order of bruschetta with dairy free cheese! Also had lemon sorbetto (housemade) for dessert would love of a non-GF vegan pasta option.

I had a lovely pick-up and dine-out dinner today. Bianca (Chef) greeted me and made my meal extra special with a wonderful and creamy (secrets in the sauce) Fettuccine Alfredo combined with a special sautéed mushroom blend that was a pleasant and tastey surprise. What can I say, I love mushrooms! As a side, I also had a lovely ceasar salad and garlic toasted italian bread. And if you love garlic and enjoy a moderate amount that is just right then you will enjoy this main pasta dish. This pandemic doesnt need to be hell when there is a little slice of food heaven right here in Windsor waiting for you. Thank you, Bianca. Dinner was delicious!

Always have a great dinner here and tonight their service was exceptional, food was awesome as always but they forgot our desert when we called hoping to get a refund they drove all the way out to lakeshore to deliver our desert. Super friendly owner and chef. We were pleased to find them open for pick-up orders! Rather than look at a menu, she asked what we felt like eating. I had house made gnocchi with a spicy blush sauce with shrimp and red pepper, and it was fabulous! My husband had broiled salmon with asparagus and risotto, and they nailed that one too. Food taste and quality were top-notch! Highly recommend this restaurant! Lets keep our restaurants in business, Windsor!

Amazing food and service, new favourite restaurant in Windsor!

I ordered takeout on Saturday night and had my wife pick up the food. When she went to pay with gift cards, the hostess rudely stated that she could not use that as a form of payment. She indicated that the gift card could not be used for take-out and stated that the rules were written on the envelope. Looking at the envelope, its apparent that there are no words or an indication that this rule exists. I purchased two $50 gift cards and the bill was $124. This would be fine if the rule was explicitly stated, but from my perspective is an unfair rule that is being enforced. Throughout COVID, I have made an effort to support local, however, I feel that I am being penalized for shopping local. I would expect that an established restaurant would never provide such poor service and have random terms and conditions that are not explicit. In the future, this negative experience will make me re-think my choices for visiting this establishment. Those gift cards will be re-gifted, and I will be sure to let others know of my negative experience. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Great place, great food, and gorgeous bar and service staff

I thought the place was nice. I am not much of a pasta lover but my ravioli was super stuffed, which I loved. I ordered 4 veggies with my ravioli each costing 1.50 and I have to say I was REALLY disappointed with the quantity. I mean I understand getting only 4 ravioli since they were stuffed with meat. But 2 bits of broccoli... Wrong. I was expecting a mountain of vegetables especially for an extra 7$. I wont eat here again but I also dont think it is a bad place. The people were great. The atmosphere is great and the food tasted good. Just not my Idea of a meal and how I want to spend my hard earned money.

Three of us were in Saturday night for a late dinner and were impressed with the great service and fresh well prepared Italian dishes. The option to create your own custom pasta dish was great as they make their own pasta. We would also recommend saving room for dessert so a half portion of pasta with a salad and appetizer would be enough.

I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the osso bucco and side polenta as a main. The calamari I have to say rivaled the calamari that I have eaten in Greece and even Italy. I highly recommend it. The osso bucco was also fantastic and was complemented nicely with the polenta. Will return here for sure!

Excellent Service and Atmosphere - the decor is fresh with good energy. The staff are charming and attentive. The quality of the food (I focused on the pasta) is great. The menu is endless as you create your own custom combinations of pasta, sauce and addtions. The servers will help you with choice if you cant make up your mind. Desserts are fun and interesting...from lemon ice to canoli...traditional Italian ideas with an upgrade. Sandra is a wonderful hostess and is very welcoming. Worth repeat visits.

Great home made pasta. At this restaurant, you can pick which pasta, sauce, and toppings you want. Also, you can pick your portion size as well as choosing from other entrees on the menu. Everything tastes terrific.

For the price youre paying, Id expect either large portions or outstanding quality, and I experienced neither. The food took quite a while to prepare as well, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. The atmosphere and ambiance was the best part of the experience, yet not worth the cost.

This was a great Italian restaurant to try with great food and great menu choices they also have not one but four different gluten-free options for your noodles and will accommodate two special dietary needs. The restaurant was clean and smelled good everything was well laid out and you can tell that the staff really cared about their jobs and took very good care of their customers. The food itself was pretty good and and the prices were pretty decent as well a little bit more on the expensive side but good.

One of my many favourite restaurants to go to on Erie street. Pasta in general is my favourite Italian dish so already you can understand why I love this place. Its a comfortable atmosphere with great service and I have never had a bad meal here.

Decent food, although when they talked about whats in their carbonara they mentioned heavy cream. Thats a big no-no. The decor is very sheik and the all-female waitstaff very attentive.

Food is incredible; in options available, preparation and presentation, and quality. The atmosphere, drink selection, and service are all top quality, and the owner is a delight. Its become a regular night out destination for myself and my little family.

This is the second time Ive been here. The food is terrific. You can do a make your own pasta where you pick the pasta, sauce, meat, veggies, cheese, etc. They also have lots of choices of meals too. Disappointing 2nd visit, to make matters worse we brought in out of town guests. Found that the quality of food did not match the prices asked. To make matters worse we were presented with an automatic 20% gratuity on our bill on the basis of party being 6 people or larger. Wish we knew beforehand because there was nothing written in the menu or mentioned at the time or reservation. With only 4 adults and the remainder of our group being 5 kids, it really seemed excessive! Nothing leaves a bitter aftertaste than a nearly $100 forced tip on mediocre food and service (yes, my water glass was only filled once, and wine glass sat empty after the first round).

Very good fresh food. A little pricey though.

Ciao Pasta Bar is a great place to eat with friends, family, and even solo. There is an amazing selection of quality customizations one can make for their own personalized pasta dish, or great chef specials if youre not feeling as creative. Dont skip this place, I highly recommend it.

I had the gnocchi with blush sauce. Very good. The bread was amazing as well. Makes sense though, bc I think it was a bakery before...will go again.

Good food, but be prepared for a wait. Food took about an hour and a half to arrive.. other than that, it was excellent quality food for a decent price.

Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menus, our food was homemade and all the vegetables were fresh. The bruschetta was amazing and delicious, and the sorbet was the perfect end to a wonderful meal.

Ciao has a nice little patio for the summer and great homemade pasta. The basil parpadelle is a personal favorite. Solid drink menu with good cocktails. One of my favorites in Via Italia.

We recently had dinner here. Although the pasta was really good, the meat dish was just ok, not spectacular. The service that day was fine and the place was clean and had a relaxed and casual atmosphere.
