Fratelli Pasta Grill in Windsor

Hands down a great news place for an awesome dinner. The owner was so kind and friendly. The chef was a fantastic cook. Great experience.

Unfortunately our experience at Fratelli was very disappointing. Our server was nice and food came out quickly, however, the only enjoyable dish we ordered was the arancini - it was SO good! The bruschetta was not even close to what the menu described. Instead the bread was topped with a smear of possibly ricotta, prosciutto and tomatoes from a can - literally. If it tasted good it would not be a problem but the combo was awful. For mains we had pollo parmigiana which was good enough, veal with mushrooms and truffle fries, lamb shank and pappardelle - presentation on this was rough, the different sauces do not go well together and the pappardelle tasted like it was cooked in dirty water, the short rib with mashed potatoes - mashed potatoes were delicious but the short rib not so much. We tried to order three different bottles of wine - all were out. Server told us an app special and a main special. A few minutes later when we ordered the app special, they were out. We were a 5:30 seating on a Saturday night .that s a little early to be running out of product. Our group of 7 left with sick stomachs which is concerning especially since we were from different households. Hopefully this was just a bad night for them, but we will not be going back find out.

We had (real) Carbonara, the best you will find anywhere in driving distance Rib eye, Lamb, Calamari and Angelo s tiramisu ,(also the best you will find in driving distance). Will be back Tomorrow actually. Lol.

Our visit to Fratelli s today was absolutely amazing! The staff showed genuine care for our dining experience, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The effort put into the authentic Italian cooking truly shines through every dish. The service was warm and personable, making us feel right at home. We had a great evening at Fratellie! Service was good abd efficient. I had the house Special Chicken Pasta. It was awesome with unique flavours! Serving suzes were genetous too. We will definitely return yo Fratelli again!!

Service was impeccable. We didnt know we needed a reservation and they were able to accommodate us after a short wait. Food was absolutely amazing. Good wine & beer selection. You definitely get what you pay for here and we will be back.

The entire staff were friendly and courteous. Our Server, Dante was exceptional. The owner Angelo, makes you feel at home sharing hilarious stories. Most importantly, the food was excellent!

The small intimate atmosphere is perfect for small get together where you can hear everyone at your table. The food was absolutely delicious, though on the pricier side. It is worth it though! They cared about my gluten allergy and adjusted dishes accordingly. They never let your water stay empty for long. 10/10 recommend. Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly alternatives available.

Food was good, however will never return or recommend. We (group of 4) had dinner and after an hour and 20 minutes were told we had to leave because others were waiting for our table. We were still finishing our coffee, drinks and dessert. There were 2 empty tables around us. If they have time limits on tables, they should advise when they book the reservation. We won t be back.

Atmosphere was great. The food was amazing! Joe definitely knows what hes doing in the kitchen. Had the rib eye and lamb chop special. Flavors were top notch. Pasta and meat were cooked perfectly. Everything tasted fresh. Definitely will come back.

Small quaint restaurant. Seating is close together and the bar area is open to the restaurant. Every time the door opened you got a nice cold draft. Dinner was good, not great. Atmosphere was very loud. Other customers conversations are very distracting if you want an intimate dinner experience. A great deal of noise carries from the bar area. If people want to be loud and have others hear them and their conversations they should go to a sports bar to be honest.

Went here during a work trip to Windosr. I was the only person in the restaurant at the time, so service was lightning quick. The guys were nice and helpful. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was 10/10 delicious! I have to dock a point because the dish didnt come with a spoon, but once I asked, the spoon was quickly delivered. Overall, loved the food and definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my peanut/tree nut allergy.

Made a reservation for dinner and when we showed up at our 7 pm reservation time we were told sorry someone forgot to write it down, we don t have a table thanks, great customer service

Amazing Dinner! Everything was super fresh and made to order. The quality of everything was excellent and tasted perfect. Service was great and timing of dishes were spot on. Homemade pasta and calamari are some of the best in the city. Will return for sure. Kid-friendliness: Had highchair. Kid size pasta served. Patience with noise. Excellent service with children.

First time here with friends. My chicken with garlic mashed potatoes was steaming hot and delicious. Others recommended the salmon. We will be back!

This is my gfs phone and we both of us want to thank the owner and the front of house staff !!!Jen had a couple seizures very small but enough to cause a bit of a screen I cant tell you how amazing they where helping grab my keys got the car to the door helped me with her so so much people neeeeeeed to go to places that respect each other and omg this is the place the food we had before it happened was great the service was great but please believe me the customer service is second to none if you want to give them props go there if you go anywhere and think hmm food was OK serve was ok go there I promise you a great meal and people that care about you!!

Very average, the food was okay, not great. Seems to attract the 60+ crowd, we were the youngest customers by 20+ years. Service was mediocre, food arrived quickly but the waiter never came back to order more drinks. Waiter also offered to come back with fresh cheese and pepper when the food was brought out, then never came back. Wasn t an overly busy night, 1/3 of the tables were empty, so no reason for poor service. There was hair in the bottom of the complementary bread, which we didn t notice until we were leaving. Wouldn t go back

We are Italians from Toronto and went to Fratellis for dinner on recommendations from other Italians. We were over the top happy with our meals, BEST food I ve had in a long long time!! BEST arancini better than in Italy! Pasta was cooked Al dente to perfection and the short rib and soft shelled crab was wow both in presentation and melted in my mouth! The ONLY criticism I have is that the tables for 4 was too small because the dishes and portions are HUGE! We will come back for sure!

Everything was great! For us aging folks, it was a little loud with so many people taking advantage of the excellent food, service and friendly staff! We will certainly return and highly recommend it for everyone to try! You wont be disappointed! The seafood ravioli and the gnocchi compare to the best we found on a recent trip to Italy. Awesome!!

Ordered takeout. Food was ready on time and order was accurate. Ordered pasta fratelli and spaghetti di mare as well as a few apps. Everything was delicious. The pasta fratelli was a little dry and lacked flavor but that could have been due to the takeout. Overall everyone was very happy with the food.

It was alright -- the food did take a long time to make its way out, which could be explained by the server forgetting our order and returning 20 minutes later to retake it. The pasta was good, but it is pricey for what we got (I ordered and tried four of the pasta dishes). Would love to see some more appetizers on the menu!

It was ok. I think our whole table was a bit disappointed thinking the food and service would be better. Being a pasta grill, we all anticipated amazing pasta - we ordered a different pasta dish to try and everyone was a little disappointed it didnt hold up to the hype. Service was a little slow; we had to ask twice for a few things, as it seemed we were forgotten about. I dont know if we will be back, overall not bad but not great either.

An amazing dinner! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. Pasta with the bolognaise sauce was superb. Staff made us feel very special. It was our first time there and were impressed. We recommend this place for any occasion. the Tiramisu is a must try. Best we have had so far.

What an amazing restaurant! I ve been to Fratelli s multiple times and it never disappoints! Service is outstanding at the bar and at the tables. Some of favourite dishes include the beef carpaccio, caprese salad, rib eye steak and lobster ravioli! Some of the best food in Windsor/Tecumseh!

Oh my what a meal! The veal was so tender you could cut it with a fork! The cream sauce was fantastic, and my wifes ricotta stuffed shells were awesome. Then desert well! Angelo and his staff went above and beyond to find us a table on what was a busy Saturday! We will be back!

My husband and I recently hosted our daughters baptism luncheon here and we are so thrilled with our experience. Chris was so helpful in the planning and coordinating, the food was incredible as always, and the service was outstanding (kudos to Dante and team). Our family is still commenting on how great the food and service was days later. We wouldnt hesitate to host another family event here in the future! Thank you! Great take out experience! Everybody enjoyed our meals and our son with Celiac Disease truly loved the gluten free option. The owner was friendly and came out and talked. I can hardly wait to go back and dine in.

This is an easy 5 stars! Fratelli offers the best service and the best food in Windsor-Essex. The food is ALWAYS consistent, whether we dine in or take out.

This is what Fratelli told me was a regular cut of Rib eye Steak. It was disgusting. After being told it would be taken off the bill we were offered a free dessert to which we said yes and thank you. They offered us shots which we said no thank you too 3 times. The forth time we said fine, it s our anniversary why not. Bill came and meal was not taken off, they said that s why we gave you the shots and dessert and that s the cut of meat a rib eye is. If that s what you think a cut of rib eye is then you have bigger problems then us paying for it. We will no longer support this local restaurant. Our appetizer was cold too! Staff was great though

Went there tonight and had a really bad experience, both me and my boyfriend ordered the same dish, got the bolognese with spaghetti noodles and we both went home with upset stomachs, it was honestly so bad which is heart breaking because this place used to be so high quality but so much has changed, sure one could argue that they cut down on wait time but they also significantly let their quality fall to the floor. On-top of that despite having several clean tables open around the dining room we were placed in a small corner with two other tables, didnt feel very safe in a pandemic. Im incredibly disappointed by tonights experience and will no longer be returning.

Food is always amazing, especially the sea food! Portions are perfect even if you just want to share a meal with someone!

They didn t have sangria on the menu but were very willing to try and make one for me. (It was delicious) The atmosphere is a little crammed however the decor is very modern and fun. They were willing to accommodate a large group of my friends and I. 4 star instead of 5 only because my pasta wasn t 100% cooked. However I would still recommend this place and give them another chance.

The food and service was amazing. Sunday night, it was nice and quiet, not too many people around, the two servers did an great job! Well be going back! Never going back to spagos after going here.

Great food. The shrimp appetizer was delicious and the ribeye and beef tenderloin were both very tender and delicious.

I hate mashed potatoes so much and yet this place has the most amazing mashed potatoes.

First time visiting this restaurant and I was for the most part satisfied. There was no table available unfortunately, but however we sat at the bar which was cool. Prices were reasonable, service was good and my pasta tasted great. Will be making a return soon with a reservation, thank you Fratelli Pasta Grill!

Came on the first day of them opening back up since the pandemic and everything was flawless! Couldn t even tell the employees hadn t worked in months! The food was absolutely amazing, highly recommend the fungi pasta dish with gnocchi!

I ordered dinner for 4 for takeout last Friday. When I picked it up and tapped my credit card I noticed I had been overcharged $23.00. I explained to server that I had ordered from their online menu with pricing on their website (eg. Ribeye steak I ordered for $30.00 was charged $40.00). He said it was an old menu 2 or 3 years old. He did not offer me a refund of overcharged amount. After thinking about it overnight I decided to contact owner. After calling 3 or 4 times and leaving messages twice, Angelo, the owner called me back. He was antagonistic and argued that the menu was an old one. After explaining this was advertised price and he should honour it he told me to come in at 3:00 to pick up money. When I arrived had to explain again to wait staff before they went to back to get him for me. He then slapped $25.00 on the bar, argued that it was old pricing, and he had been in business a long time and knew his business.. In a loud voice he then said I don t need your business and don t come back because they wouldn t serve me. By this time I was shaking and nearly in tears. How could a business owner treat a customer like this, especially a 70 year old woman. Needless to say I, along with over 600 people who have shared on Facebook, will not be eating at your restaurant. If you have been ordering from online menu check your receipts. It is now over a week later and the old menu is still online. Beware, check your bill before paying.

We really enjoyed Fatellis. The service was very good. The staff was friendly, quick and accommodating. The food was delicious. We had the pear bruschetta and it was amazing. The spinach salad was awesome. The gnocchi frammagio was fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant. They take reservations so best to call ahead.

We decided to try out Fratelli s for my overdue Birthday celebrations. Due to covid in April we weren t able to celebrate. The owner was very polite and got us a reservation for the time we wanted. I was very impressed with the sanitation measures taken and the owner came over introduced himself and asked how everything was. We were very happy with our meal and experience at Fratelli s. Looking forward to bringing my family here to experience the great fine dinning and exceptional service.

Appetizers were excellent. Entres were good. Id stick to the pasta if you dont have any dairy allergies. The meatballs are two softball size balls of meat, with a piece of cheese in the center. I wish I could eat it.

One of our favourite places for pasta. We keep coming back and the quality is always there. Excellent service. The outdoor space they have set up in the parking lot currently is a nice patio to eat outside.

The food was definitely 5 star and I go for the food. Thought it was classier inside, but normal interior. We had 4 different kinds of pasta and the salmon. Salmon pasta was favorite at our table. Highly recommend for any pasta lover. Salmon itself was excellent and good size too.

We had a disappointing bite here. We had reservations due to the covid restrictions. We got there at 630. We ordered by 7pm. 3 of us having the lamb special. Our meals finally showed up close to 830. We inquired about our meal twice before it showed up. Everyone was annoyed at the service and meal delay. It will be a long time before I give them another chance. Should have gone to Spagos. Next time for sure.

Fratelli pasta grill is honestly the best. Sounds vague, but here me out. They are the best at reading their table, bringing the exact amount of energy you want while staying respectful to the overall environment of the room. Their food is the best. Been here ten times, the food was impossibly good each time. The staff is the best. Chefs care about the food, serving staff cares about the experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Including my grandmother, and she s picky.

This restaurant did not have any availability for walk ins (two people) reservation only .. I tried to call ahead before driving there and got no answer, nor did the machine say they had ZERO availability.. We asked for a menu to get takeout and they could not accommodate for that either. We were told to make a reso two weeks in advance. This is not even a fine dining restaurant. Nico Tavern, Mezzo, Spagos, and many other restaurants with great reputations don t even do this. There should Be tables set aside for walk ins and take out. I will not be returning.

Honestly Fratelli is one of the most amazing places Ive been in a while. Not even exaggerating... the service was excellent, the owner even came up to us and Mike the manager there overall an amazing person we couldnt of had a better experience tonight. The food was delicious and the drinks fantastic. Thank you to everyone working there especially during Covid-19. We appreciate you.

Fratelli has become my go-to for pasta and Italian food in all of Windsor. I have never had a bad plate of food here, and I have seen quite a few.

Unfairly overcharged. Sneaky tactics to add ridiculously inflated extra charges onto bill. Waiter admitted fault and confronted owner/manager about the extra charges and he was rude and unprofessional and wouldnt change it. Felt very mistreated. Will not return. Establishment was pretty empty at 6pm now I understand why. Business must not have met their quota for the day so had to dig for extra $$ pretty sad. Beware

Had an amazing meal with my GF at Fratellis Pasta Grill. The best NY strip Ive ever had! She loved the lamb and we both enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive to our needs despite a pretty full house too!

Ordered the grilled calamari for an appetizer and the lamb shank for a main. The calamari was one of the best I have had in Windsor. The lamb shank was top notch, cooked perfectly and had me eat it right down to the bone. Service was fast, friendly and personable. The only negative aspect to this meal was once the restaurant filled up the noise felt as though you were in a pub rather than a restaurant. This however will not keep me from coming back as the food was spectacular : )

Went last night. Can t wait to go back! Great wine list, appetizer portions are enormous, entrees are sensational! Food quality is exceptional. I didn t even know I enjoyed mussels until having them here where I couldn t get enough of them! Well-seasoned, perfectly prepared, unpretentious, and again, generous portions. Service staff is super down-to-earth and made excellent recommendations. Desserts and espresso were the perfect finishing touch.
