Vittorio's Trattoria in Windsor

This is a long time over due, but a few years ago, I ordered the olio aglio using skip the dishes (I probably didnt spell that correctly, but its basically garlic spaghetti, best comfort food ever). I was having a REALLY bad day so I asked for them to use as much garlic as possible. Recieved everything I ordered, and the garlic spaghetti was GARLICKING. The best part was the one giant clove taped to the takeout container with the note saying that they* hoped it helps :) (*the they was an I, but you get it). Honestly, I just saw a post that reminded me of the experience and immediately felt bad for not posting a review because the food was exactly what I needed along with the kindness. Five for atmosphere cause I bet its awesome inside the restaurant.

Talk about a hidden Gem in our city. This was an amazing experience with a small town atmosphere out of Italy. John the owner / server was so pleasant and helpful. the food was was as fresh as if you just made it at home yourself. We had the ravioli with meat sauce, mushroom truffle pasta to die for, and pizza amazing !!!. You have to give this local business a try.... AMAZING !!!!!

I went for the first time yesterday. Very friendly service in a quaint & cozy atmosphere. I had the panzerotti, others at our table had the Caesar salads, Spaghetti Carbonara & the Kersey pizza. All were excellent, would recommend and visit again!

This is a fancy little hidden gem in Windsor, but no need for a special occasion or reason to treat yourself to some delicious feel good food. Eating at Vittorio s is more than just about the food, it s an experience. Sulk in the welcoming atmosphere and enjoy the many delicious dishes they have offer here that do wonders for your taste buds. The smell alone makes you want to try everything on the menu, a difficult choice but non are wrong. Combined with their kind and friendly service, choosing Vittorio s is the easiest choice you ll make all day.

I love this little hidden gem!!!! The food, the service, the atmosphere are all superb!! I am addicted to the gnocchi and Nutella pizza. I can confidently say it s unreal and delicious. Highly recommend to everyone! I can t wait to go back the minute I finish my meal! LOL!!

It was absolutely impossible, I could barely even hear myself think over the clinking of cutlery on rapidly emptying plates.... Over the near constant sound of wine being glugged into glasses, of ice being stirred in cocktails.... And the laughter, dont even get me started. We were surrounded by people who seemed to think it was Friday night or something, who were all absolutely enjoying the heck out of each others company. In short, a fantastic dining experience! The service, the food, the atmosphere, all absolutely A1! If I wasnt so stuffed with pizza and wine, this review alone would have made me hungry enough to go right back there right now! Bravo all! Some of the best Italian food weve had for some time. Antipasto was an impressive charcuterie with various meats, cheese, olives, roast red peppers . We both had pasta dishes which were amazing couple with 2 glasses of red. Excellent dining experience priced under $100 taxes in. Cant get this culinary treat at this price on Erie st.. well be back soon............. thanks John.

Came to watch my son play lacrosse at glades arena need to go to store stumbled on this place and thank god I did !!! It was so so amazing especially there bacon carbonara so creamy god I had to order one 2 go!! And the meat balls so big and looked so amazing so I had to order side meatballs to go! The pizza looks amazing even tho I didn t try it I would deff come back in the future and try it this place is well worth the money!

A tiny restaurant tucked away in one of Windsors plethora of plazas, Vittorios offers a great selection of italian food at good prices and with good portions to boot. The staff was very attentive and even went so far as to have full on conversations with some of the regulars who were a part of our party on 15 people that night. Recommend making reservations because this place is very busy and you might be waiting a while to be seated without one.

My wife and I took a weekend getaway trip from the US to Windsor, Canada for our anniversary. On our anniversary night (a Saturday night), we felt like having a nice Italian dinner and we found Vittorios Trattoria on Google and the reviews were fantastic so we decided to give it a shot. We arrived at around 6:45ish and we didnt realize that this place is so popular, reservations are recommended! We were told they probably wouldnt have a table until after 8PM, which we said OK and left our contact info. Despite being busy, they were able to squeeze us in only 30 minutes later, which we were very thankful for! Not only is the service excellent (our server was also amazing), the food was incredible. Our only regret was we didnt have another day to return to this restaurant and try different dishes. We didnt want to stop eating, it was THAT good. The Lasagna in particular was incredible as was the calamari and pizza we ordered. Thank you to the everyone at Vittorios Trattoria for finding us a table and making our anniversary dinner a special one. When we do get back to Windsor, we will definitely be back!! Thank you again!

Very bland and overpriced. Food doesn t look like how it does on ubereats. I spent a lot of money and I m very disappointed. I got spaghetti carbonara which was so plain and had no veggies nothing it was really bad, the salad was bland and boring. Food was a huge disappointment and waste of money

We gave it 5 Stars no question. It was nice to see the dining room so busy and we were grateful to be seated because they were SOOO busy. Service was good considering they were as busy as they were, but the food was definitely worth it.

Great food, Friendly server, good service, cozy & Romantic setting. We were lucky that we called in a couple hours before to reserve a spot. At 7:30 PM on a Thursday, our reserved spot was the only empty table, the rest was all packed. Thats how good they are! Started with Bruschetta, which had great flavours of garlic and their Italian herbs n seasonings. Followed by Penne Primavera, they substituted fettuccine with penne on our request. The blush sauce was delicious and the pasta had decent amount of seasoned veggies in it. The quantity was above average. Photo below shows one pasta plate shared in two bowls as requested. Also ordered their Greek pizza which tasted good. All the ingredients were fresh. At the end, had an aromatic cup of coffee. Quality food, Good amount of portion sizes, all at affordable prices. The server John was charming, friendly, understood our questions and gave valuable suggestions. Definitely returning here to try their panini among other things. Vegetarian options: Pasta, pizza, salads, etc. Parking: Plenty of free parking within plaza.

Absolutely unreal. Very good service and the food and drinks were incredible! We called the bar thats not too far away and they said they wouldnt accept electric scooters but this place did without us even calling, we just showed up and they welcomed us with open arms! We will be back for sure!

A true hidden gem in Windsor, the best Italian restaurant in the city by far. I went here for the first time tonight and it tastes exactly like the pasta my Sicilian grandmother used to make. It was beyond delicious. I have been to all the Italian places around Windsor that claim to be the best and been highly disappointed. The meat sauce is truly authentic tasting here, the portion size was huge and the staff was very friendly. I am so happy I found this place. First time I have had good Italian food in Windsor.

Creepy waiter. When a guest scoots her chair away from you dont physically press your body into hers. So disgusted that we left promptly.

Edit after owner s response: the waiter was standing on the opposite side of where the large table was. After my friend moved to create space he pressed up against her repeatedly asking if he was too close. Inappropriate behaviour from the waiter tonight. When he came to our table, he stood very close to my female friend who then moved her chair a few inches away from him. Upon noticing, he then leaned into and pressed against my friend multiple times while asking if he was standing too close, before awkwardly apologizing if he made us uncomfortable. We were disturbed so our party of 3 left before ordering. This was at Vittorio s in Forest Glade shortly after 6:30 on May 2nd, 2023.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had bruschetta on pizza bread, beet salad and meat sauce lasagna. Everything was fresh and tasty. The bread dipping oil was spicy, and I loved it. Thats the only negative I can think of was that the place very much louder that Id like. Not the sort where you could have a quiet conversation with your meal, at least thats how it was during the supper rush tonight.

I loved everything about this place .. the pasta was absolutely amazing but the only problem I had was the panzerotti that we took to go . No sauce and absolutely no topping we asked for it was a piece of soggy bread . Again the pasta was amazing but oh my on the panzerotti

Quaint little place in Forest Glade. Wonderful food, great atmosphere and great pasta. Very attentive staff. Will dine again at this gem of a restaurant. Was a little surprised when asked if we wanted parmesan on our dishes, and they came out with grated cheese that youd get out of a can. Would have expected freshly shredded. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, lots of room between tables.

Very nice place. You wouldn t think from it being in a strip mall that it would be as nice of a place but as they say, don t judge a book by its cover. Lol. My wife and I started with the calamari which was very tasty. We had the Glade pizza and it was delicious! I love the little bubbles on the crust. We also had some cocktails that were good as well. Our server was excellent. Sorry I can t remember her name. A very nice first experience. We were in town for the weekend and this was a great choice for dinner. We will definitely return in the future!

We had Vittorio s cater my dad s 50th birthday and the food was amazing!! The roasted chicken was so tender and the pasta was a big hit with everyone. Would definitely recommend to anyone hosting an event

Calamari was ok.. bland. The pizza was ok, best thing is their mains or pasta. Anything else isn t worth it. Arincini is a 7/10. Service and atmosphere were great however!

This small but exquisite little restaurant captures the true essence of Italian cuisine. Casual, but classy. The ingredients are simple but fresh and done to perfection. The staff is professional and personable. We were a group of 15 experiencing one of the worst days of our lives, but we were able to relax and enjoy the moment despite the reason we were there.

Fantastic food. Best pasta and salmon I ve ever had! Went with a large group and got our food within the hour despite this, and server was very pleasant! Be prepared for a busy crowd as it seems like a popular outing.

What can I say? Just about that the owner knew it s our new fav? Of course! Absolutely incredible food and service! By far our favourite place now! The pizza was the best we ve ever had, tasted like you were right in Italy. All of our dishes were perfect. The owners work very hard, and will succeed because our expectations were beyond met ! 10/10!

That s two weeks in row now they sent me some terrible overcooked dry pasta. I never do this. But I have to this time. This is embarrassing not only to Italians but humans in general. The 2 is me being nice.

---UPDATE--- Let me start by saying how happy I am this place has reopened! The new owners have done improvements to the decor and service that have definitely not gone unnoticed. If, like me, youre curious to know if the food still tastes the same, keep reading. PIZZA: As good as before. I even feel like the toppings were a bit more generous (amazing)! GNOCCHI ALFREDO: The gnocchi was still great, but I feel like the sauce was not as cheesy and delicious. NUTELLA PIZZA: The reason I kept coming back to Vittorios. I usually had it with mascarpone, but the cooks forgot to add it this time (it happens). The dough was MUCH better thinner and lighter! However, the nutella portion of it was a huge disappointment they changed the nutella for something else that feels gritty in your mouth and is not as good, and is definitely not nutella. Please, bring the nutella back! Overall, Vittorios is still worth visiting, and I believe the new owners will work out most issues given the proper time and opportunity. -------- Amazing food! The pizza dough is definitely the best Ive ever had. The nutella and mascarpone dessert pizza is absolutely delicious, and the potion is large enough for at least 4 people. The restaurant itself is a bit outdated, but the food makes the visit totally worth it. I couldnt recommend it enough.

Very classy environment. We had John as a server and he was very professional, knowledgeable and attentive. The food is fantasic! I had their specialty which is the carbonara! SO YUMMY! We had a raspberry lemonade for drinks, which were extremely tasty. I highly reccomend going to this place! I will be back again!

My husband and I noticed the sign by the road on our way home, so I looked this restaurant up and sent a message through messenger to see if I needed reservations, they got right back to me and we went there for date night. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent and very friendly staff. The food is excellent and well portioned and the prices are very fair. I would highly recommend this little gem to everyone. We certainly plan on going back whether date not or another night.

Like the food, the vibe, the drink, the service. Panini (lunch menu) was excellent, fulfilling, flavorful, healthy, delicious. Some Italian music was playing, right volume, fits the atmosphere, good to the ears. Price reasonable, all elementa considered. Good place to chill or meet up. Highly recommended.

We went to Vittorio s a couple of weeks back when we visited Windsor. Had heard so much about their pizza and pasta, decided to have a taste. We ordered the chicken parmigiana, spaghetti carbonara, spinach and sausage pizza and margherita pizza. My friends did enjoyed the pizzas very much, nice flavour and chewy crust. I had the carbonara, flavour profile was excellent, pasta was just denté. The egg sauce clinged nicely, definitely the chef had it down to prepare this dish. I don t know if they ran out of pancetta because I had strip bacon in my pasta. To improve on the taste some fresh shredded parmigiana, would have put this carbonara in my top 5 Carbonara plates. The food was well priced and service was very good for the waiter who was taking care of all the tables. I would come again!

September 25, 2022 We hosted a Memorial Luncheon for my late Father here. John personally handled the entire event with complete professionalism and care. He and his staff made our special event perfect! The food and service were great Would recommend to everyone. I had dinner with friends at Vittorio s the other night and it was fabulous! The food was tasty and cooked to perfection! We started with the arancini and calamari fritti. It was delicious! I had the grilled salmon with rapini - sorry no pics and my friends all had different pizzas which they enjoyed. Of course, we ended the night with the Nutella pizza- it was the best! The pizza Fabrizio is a definite hit at our house and the fettuccine with truffles was flavourful and a delightful rhapsody! I ve never had such a delicious Caesar salad - even the croutons were packed with flavour. Trying the carbonara next time along with the Fabrizio, of course!

Went for the first time tonight after being highly reconnected from a co-worker. I needed to find a new pizza place since Im.moving to Forest Glade in 2 weeks. I took my 2 year old daughter in to get the take-out, and Ive never been treated ANYWHERE (& Im.from the county) with such a warm welcome, and great service. They were so sweet to my daughter, and the owner carried out our pizza!!! The only thing better than the service was the pizza!! We have our new Friday night spot!!!

Vittorios Slice Of Italy has the best handmade fresh pizza I have had since moving to Windsor. I cannot say enough good things about the consistent quality of the food, the friendly service, and the spotless washrooms. I love the family bistro atmosphere and the great variety of traditional pizzas. The carbonara is fabulous, too. In countless visits to this restaurant I have never been disappointed. Vittorio, and his family, have a great to be proud of!

My family and I have been coming to Vittorio s since the opening. The owners have become family. This family is run by family and treat us like family. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is is like home, warm and friendly. Best italian restaurant on the east end.

We had dinner here for the first time last night. The food was superb and they were able ta accomodate gluten free pizza for one of our group of five. I will be ordering that next time, even tjough I have no problem with gluten! Nothing was too much trouble a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thank you Vittorios.
