23 years ago, Drupatis started of as a place to get the best Caribbean Roti and Doubles, since then we have transformed our menu to offer a variety of authentic and delicious Caribbean dishes. We are located on the corner site of a brand new building in Woodbridge, ON.
Here’s a five-star review you can use for Drupatis Vaughan: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the pleasure of ordering takeout from Drupatis Vaughan, and it was an amazing experience! The restaurant's environment is filled with vibrant cultural elements that instantly reminded me of my home in Trinidad. The menu is extensive, offering a delightful variety of options that cater to every taste. Not to mention, the customer service was top-notch! The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Drupatis Vaughan for anyone craving authentic flavors in a welcoming atmosphere!
This restaurant serves a fusion on East Asian, Caribbean and Indian food. It is a quaint spot and has some lovely decor. I was not too familiar with some of the meals I tried. I enjoyed some and others I didn't but it was new experience and it was fun with family. The staff were warm and very hospitable.
Food as well as the service was great! If you haven't been before, it's worth a visit.
Delicious jerk chicken roti! Very fresh and tasty! They have a huge variety on the menu. The restaurant is very clean with friendly staff.
Here is always good for a Friday pick up dinner, if you are lazy to stay in a restaurant, my husband and I decided to grab some Caribbean food, and here it's the right place, good selection big amount and the roti is always on point, soft like if they just made it. We have a jerk chicken roti, a lamb curry Roti and a chicken like kind of sweet favor that was good. You can see in the portions how big are the dishes. We normally share everything and still we have leftovers for next day.
Great food served with fast and friendly service! Very generous serving portions too! I love their Boneless Curry Goat! I highly recommend trying this location.
I got good customer service today which includes friendly and fast service. If you know anything about Caribbean restaurants then you will understand why I had to mention that first cause I was super impressed. This place is clean, nicely decorated, lots of booths if you want to eat comfortably.. You also have countertop sitting if you need somewhere to stretch your legs while eating. Lots of options on the menu, I couldn’t decide what I wanted except I knew I was having different types of roti cause that’s why I travelled far. The cashier exercised lots of patience as I asked numerous questions ( wanting to know what I was eating). I ordered doubles and paratha ( found out the “bus up shut” I was looking for on the menu). Then got a 16 oz of boneless curry goat ( cause no one wanted to struggle with bones today, maybe tomorrow though). My son says the goat almost taste like his grandma’s so that’s why the rating is only a four. But everything else is a five, including all things roti-like. I drove 45 mins in the rain to come to this spot and I have no regrets. Love the Caribbean vibes
Dupratis is famous for their doubles ($2.75). The bara at Dupratis is super soft but also has a chewy elasticity to it, almost melting into the chana but doesn’t disintegrate. There’s just enough of the chickpeas for bite and plenty of sauce that I eventually had to switch to a knife and fork to enjoy the normally handheld eat. While we asked for it to be a medium spicy level, it must have been made at the fullest as there was quite the kick, yet still tolerable once tamarind sauce was added to counteract the heat. After the pillowy double, the crispy saheena ($4.85) was a wonderful contrast with its flakey layers encapsulating a thick spinach mixture. The menu describes this breakfast staple as a fritter, but the layers remind me of phyllo, except even crispier. Imagine a deep-fried phyllo wrapped spinach pie, it’s sinfully good. My friend explains a Trinidadian stew chicken ($14.25) is unlike other stews I may have had previously. It begins with a well caramelized sugar base that gives it a rich colour as well as a slightly sweet undertone. The sugariness isn’t overly pronounced rather adding an interesting flair to the still savoury stew. This dish would be a hit for those who like things like root beer pork. The callaloo was the perfect side, giving it an extra layer of silkiness thanks to the okra used with the veggies, so lovely when mixed with the rice. If anything, I just wish the stew chicken had more spice as despite being ordered medium there wasn’t an ounce of heat. Visiting at lunch does mean many dishes aren’t ready, such as the Trini BBQ chicken or lamb and curry duck. After cycling through various items on the menu, we finally settled on the boneless curry goat ($15.80 for the large), which arrives with a choice of rice or roti (and with the roti a choice of daal or paratha versions). I’m glad my friend went with the flakey paratha as its many crevices were perfect for soaking in the thin curry sauce. The curry was fine but a bit timid for my tastes - if anything, it was the ultra hot layered roti that stole the show.
I ordered 5 doubles and mixed lo mein. Waited (30 min) got home to find no doubles in bag. How can you call my number and not pack the complete order.
Great Caribbean restaurant everything was beautiful.
I usually come here once in awhile. Today I visited to eat indoors, it was very cold inside the restaurant. I mention it to the girl working there. She said sorry the heater is broken. We ordered our food. It was so uncomfortable to eat with our coats on and we kept telling each other its so cold. The food got cold quick. We didnt enjoy our visit at all, we rushed because so cold, I asked if we can get a discount for our experience. They said the manager said no its not her fault. I said well then who is responsible.? Anyway to the owner of this restaurant. I am a manager as well,if you have a situation like this the customer should be notified if they want to eat in.. and have the option to stay or not. Second you could have run a portable heater or something in the mean time. Another thing.. Your workers need to be more alert when serving the food. We had to ask for plates, for water for the spoons to serve the food. I shouldnt have to do that at all. I mise well go behind the counter and help myself if thats the case. Food especially rice or noodles should have serving spoon and fork. Customers should get a plate to eat. Do you think we all gonna share off the plate food came in. This kind of thing is the same thing when I visit. I think you need to go over some things with the workers. This cold was a first time and should have been thought out better. I also dont like that you made it like its the customer responsible for your heat not working. I send alot of people to come eat at your restaurant. But I dont know if I myself will even come back being told that you cant do anything for me. Then I would like to know who can. A big turn off.
Good better then island mix that s for sure 2024 ***Edit*** this isn t same anymore doubles taste too Indian not like coolie favours like it used to be A lot more other things but I m not even worst my time Just stick my Fried rice and mixed veg
Excellent food and the staff are wonderful.
The Doubles is good and tasty and the Pholouri is not to oily overall 8/10.
Curry goat with rice was good. Their hot pepper is really tasty.
We ordered a take out. The individual who took my order was very knowledgeable. A s it was my first time there, she gave me options and explanation of what I should expect to be served in my order. The food was very flavourful. The hot sauce was also amazing. I just wish it was a bit more.
Extremely flavourful food and a chill atmosphere to enjoy your meal and chat with friends. I enjoyed the jerk chicken wrap and each of my friends tried a different entree.. the Trini chicken, oxtail and fish. Each of us was so impressed and satisfied with what we ordered and ordered again to take out for dinner as well!! Awesome staff, awesome atmosphere! We will be back!!!!
Food was good but could have more flavor especially curry chicken. Also, missed an item on the takeout order. It was ok value for money. Portion sizes were adequate.
I had the chicken roti and veg chow mein for takeout. The flavors are not quite on point for West Indian food. The proportion of starch (potato, chow mein) is off the charts. Its been several years since Ive been to drupatis. The food has changed significantly.
Never again. Unsure who is cooking the curry dishes - that aint it
Doubles and Red Solo all day, baby.
Excellent service and environment. The music was great. Everyone at my party enjoyed the food.
Had the Chinese style deep fried chicken. It was so dry and tasteless and wayyyyy overpriced
Food and value great. Cant complain at all. So glad they usually always have what I want so I get to try every thing over time...
Great food. Good service.
Real Trini experience Food : 5/5
Great service and friendly staff. However, I got a Boneless Curry Chicken that came with 4 small dry pieces of chicken breast. Also, there was no gravy to go with the copious amount of rice that comes with it. I would look into boneless chicken thighs for the future.
Nice
Never coming back to this location. I already emailed you guys the issue with no response. Staff has an attitude and can t do simple 2/2 when I broke down how much the spring roll cost I don t even work their
Good place ..I had tasty dinner!
The boneless curry chicken roti was a disappointment, chicken is dry and no taste/seasoning, roti was soggy. The taste was not there, definitely will not try again. I never had chicken roti this bad in the GTA area.
Ive been eating at Drupatis for a very long time. This location is just as amazing as the Finch location. The roti is always soft and fresh. Curry is always flavorful. And the doubles are a must-have. This location has very comfortable dine-in seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Service is great too.
Way too salty for my liking
Nice place, but the music is so loud and very hard to hear the cashiers
Very nice clean place with great customer service.
Fantastic food!!!!!!!! Parking: Plenty of parking off road Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious eat in area as well
I am sorry I will never recommend this location to anyone. Curry goat and Chana aloo very salty. Complained to the restaurant manager and she s said she had 300 customers today and no one complained about her cooked food and if we do not pay the bill which we had all intention to pay, she said she will call the cops for us as we complained. Food and service were horrible, food salty, never come back here or recommend this place. Manager was rude after we explained how salty the food. Never ever recommend anyone to this place. Horrible to the MAX
This place is one of my go-tos. The staff members are friendly, the food tastes fantastic, the place is clean (this includes the restrooms), and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!
Great food.
Store is Always close , food like 2/10
Best authentic food
Was expecting a dive, turned out to be a lovely eat in restaurant with lovely art on the wall. Food was delicious!
This is by far the best West Indian restaurant in the GTA...the food, the portions, the price and the friendly atmosphere is always on point.
The first time I went here after being introduced by my good friend, I was captured by the intense flavours of the dishes and it left me with a profound appreciation for Carribean cuisine, something I had not tried before in the years prior.
The food was not as good as I thought it could be, appetizers were great , but they dont know how to make west Indian chowmein and fry rice
Just ordered tonight from the Weston road & Rutherford location. Food was fresh and tasty. Thank you to the team @ Drupati. Ordered Jerk chicken and Chinese dishes. Good stuff.
A wonderful place for caribbean cuisine, best fried rice spot in the city + great customer service.
Came all the way from Aurora to get Drupatis we had to eat at least 1 double before making the ride back home. The doubles literally had me dancing lol(happy food dance).also the salt fish and bake was sooo good! About to dive into the rest of our order when I get home
Great food and service. Oh....the drinks was good too!
We purchased 8 doubles, 4 aloe pie with 3 solo. Everything was tasty. And I loved that their pepper sauce had bandania, which add that extra to the doubles and aloe pie.
Prices on the menu dont reflect what you are changed. Poor dine in service. Theyre more suited to be a take out service instead. I went to the Vaughan location with my family and we were very disappointed.
The staff is absolutely fantastic and the doubles are dynamite. Best Ive had , definitely worth coming to eat here
On my way home late this evening, I decided to drop in rather than cook. Had a veg plate with bust up shut , okra, same beans, mango curry and spinach bhaji. It tasted just as good as my own home cooking. Perfect taste and salt level. Friendly and helpful service. Vegetarian options: I had okra, spinach bhaji, mango curry, and same (green bean curry) with bust up shut. I must say it was delicious!! Just like I would make it at home. Dietary restrictions: Lots of choices for everyone, even vegetarians. Parking: Lots of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible restaurant that actually works.
Very tasty food . A little slow on service. I guess because of staff shortage, difficult getting staff these days. Parking: No problem finding a spot
I wish I had taken photos, but we were halfway through before I remembered; by then there wasnt much to photograph...lol I will definitely go back and try another dish or the same curry chicken roti with bone in. Food
The BBQ was the best. The doubles have gotten much better, very tasty with the condiments, and its smoking hot just as youre standing back home eating one at the side of the road. Well done . Food : 5/5
8/10 ordered doubles and bbq chicken. To start, the portion of the bbq is enough for 2 lol nice and big with fries, salad, coleslaw. doubles were fresh, super flavourful and light. First time, will def come again:)
Great food. The boneless jerk chicken roti is highly recommended. Make sure to call ahead for your order.
Great food
This place was the first drupatis and one the I must say they mentain there quality not like Scarborough drupatis these guys give you atlentic Trinidadian food like on the side of the road was worth the 55 minutes drive best food for traditional Trinidadian food dont go to any other location come to this location and you will not be disappointed but if you are a cheap person its not for you but once you know good thing aint cheap then you will be fine I dont ever argue or bargain for food but other people is different visit this location best food
The food never misses! Very delicious and large servings.
This place is clean, friendly, has delicious food and even gave us a sample to try since it was our first time there. I like bone in curry goat and curry chicken. They also have Asian dishes which we will try next time! Affordable and oh so good. bit spicy . My family will definitely be coming back.
Came in for Sunday Brunch to celebrate our son s birthday with a group of 15. Waitress/front counter staff were excellent in taking care of this group of teens that never had West Indian food before. They loved the Trini Chinese selections and curry roti dishes ranging from lamb, goat, chicken and potato. Great choice for this group and portions were so big many had to pack and go. Thanks again for the tasty treats, cold drinks and excellent service staff. A go to in Vaughan to satisfy that island craving. Vegetarian options: Sufficient options to choose from - appetizers, roti, fried rice, chowmein, mixed veg. Only reco is another veg protein besides chic peas for a choice. But all good! Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan and Halal Parking: Plenty of spots
Honestly, one of the best places to eat! Thank you so much
consistent! and they have very friendly service.
The food was definitely worth the wait and portion sizes we generous...there was also a wide selection on drinks that pair well with any meal.selection...will definitely visit hungry again...
I ordered 2 special chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken plus a few orders of doubles. We were patiently waiting when our doubles came out in 20 mins so we decided to eat them there and wait on our food. The doubles were sloppy but tasted ok. So at almost around 45 mins I started asking where my order is and how much order as Ive been waiting awhile. The lady kept going to the back and coming back saying 2 more mins about 5 times till I told her to call the manager, the owner was on which is great to me so I ask why its taking so long and she started getting rude with me saying you people and I said you people what how are you my skin color but saying you people. Long story short I wouldnt advise anyone Caribbean to give this rude lady our business as she doesnt seem to like black people and if you do go there be prepared to wait at least 40 mins for food. Look at the Google reviews and they will tell you too.
It really sucks that everytime Ive ordered something, you guys dont have it. This is literally the 6th time Ive placed an order and you guys dont have what im ordering off your menu. The food is great dont get me wrong, but yall only have dishes once in a blue moon.
Hello, foodies, so after ordering two days in a row from Saturday to Sunday, I can tell you that aside from all the reviews I read, this place is amazing. I want to reassure you that the complaints about time for food coming out should not be an issue cause you are getting fresh food. Its not Mc donalds, lol. Good things take time coming from a cook myself, I know. Do yourself a favor and order ahead, thats all. As for taste, the food is great. The doubles are not oily at all. Also, the portions are very fair as well as the price. As long as consistency is kept, I see this place rocketing to the moon quality is very good. Keep up the good work, guys.
Delicious doubles! Loved the fried rice !
On 24th June 2023, we visited the store. Whoever was the person making those doubles my 8 year old son had 3, which has never happened. My husband and I had 2 extra with the 3 we order each for ourselves. To the chef on doubles duty continue what you doing it was great. We purchased fried rice, noodles, and vegetables to carry out it was great.
Paratha & Dhal pouri was fresh, soft and very warm. Curry was spicey with just the right amount of zip.
Service, really really not the best, they are short staff, dont understand what it means to dine in. Poor service and might add kinda pricey, for poor service.
Horrible tasting doubles that gave my wife an adverse reaction or food poisoning. The bara was hard and yeast-y and the channa had an odd after-taste. This was my first time to this location and will definitely be my last!
Usually come in for the doubles and am never disappointed. Great friendly staff. Always on point!
Roti shells are a good size and the portions are good enough for 2 rounds
My fault for coming here a second time. The first time, I got a doubles. It was average. When I was asking the lady questions about the menu, she was walking away at the same time which is unprofessional. On the 2nd visit, got the bake and saltfish (pictured). The fried bake tasted stale and old even though it seemed freshly fried. The saltfish was the worst part. It had a strong frozen taste and was chewy and watery. There will be no 3rd visit. Ive already wasted my money here twice before.
The place had great music, and the food tasted pretty good. It was so slow. On one hand, it felt like every dish was being made from scratch which is great, but a single lunch took about 35 minutes to get, and the place wasnt that busy. I take it some people had to wait a lot longer because they were asking for money back and leaving angry. Not a great place to get a quick lunch, still a decent place for lunch.
Have eaten here quite a few times since they have opened, and will continue to do so because the food is pretty good. BUT I will adjust my expectations because despite the fact that the person on the phone says 25 minutes, my order has NEVER been ready on time. My last order took over 1 hour to make and it was completely incorrect. Employees look miserable, stressed out, and don t care about the concerns of customers. I am extremely disappointed at the mindset here because it seems like you all just collect the money and it is what it is for the customer. This last order caused me to be stuck in traffic for 2.5 hours instead of a normal 1.5 hours. Just ridiculous. Prices have gone up a lot which is fine if things are run properly. Do better!
First of all the price of the food is incredibly expensive. The roti that was ordered was very doughy and oily. Very undercooked. The other dishes that were ordered all had too much salt. I would not recommend eating here unless you were actually starving and had no where else to go. Also not to mention I found a hair in my chicken fried rice. Thanks for that!!! GROSS!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
I have been to a couple of other Drupatis locations without any issues. Unfortunately, the young East Indian girls managing this place are out of their depth. The food they serve is not fresh. I ordered boneless curry chicken with rice. I was served cold pieces of chicken, with hot curry sauce. In addition, the rice was clearly over a day old. It was hard and cold outside of where the hot curry sauce was liberally poured over top. The salad served on the side consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce with one very sad looking slice of tomato. No dressing, no flavour. Fix up!
I ordered 4 doubles, and a corn soup. They said 25 minutes I waited an hour. When I got the food the flour for the doubles was still raw and the Chana was frozen, the corn soup wasn t even corn soup they just mixed everything they had in one container and gave it to me. Not authentic trini food at all. I m surprised they re still open for business.
My son and I came here ordered fries and chicken wings for him and dhal and rice and curry goat for me with a bottle of water and Corona it wouldve been nice to get our drinks while we waited for our food, but that did not happen until 20mins later. When my son got his fries and wings, he received no ketchup, plate or napkins. When I received the Curry Goat 10mins later, I was really disappointed as a Trini (born and raised) this was by far anything to appreciate, the picture of the goat fat alone proves my point. Only reason I give this place 2 stars is for the front staff who was friendly, the music and the cleanliness.
Chicken stew blowing my mind . A MUST TRY
Great place with great food I come here at least once a week! Food
This used to be a great place to get a fresh delicious roti. I was there today and the roti was tough and rubbery. Stale food.
If I could of given Zero stars on the food trust me I would after spending $50. Ordered 2 boneless curry chickens, chicken chow mein, and macaroni pie. The 2 curries where watered down until the gravy spilled through the paper bags x2 and broke through and the rice oh my god hard like sand paper, it was definitely not fully cooked on both ends but given as food to eat from a restaurant. It s 3:03 am and I am writing this review as my daughter has had non stop diarrhea, thank God she didn t eat all of it. Could of been plastic rice who knows with water down curry. Shameful and taking peoples money m. The chow mein now oily for days I could lotion my whole body with the amount of oil in the food and lack of taste on both ends. Pull up receipt 79. What a disappointment and disgrace to carribeans to produce food like that for people to eat. This is the second time bad experience but not to this degree m, you not getting a third chance to rob me of my money and only provide stomach discomfort
Ordered two jerk chicken rotis. We have never tasted roti like this before. Completely inedible. What part of Trinidad they making this kind of roti?
Parking: Parking spot with lines Food
I ordered a duck curry and roti separate the roti was dry.
Amazing the food was a lot! I would recommend this place to every body delivery was prompt over all experience was just amazing
I contacted this location for an after funeral meal for the immediate family. It was such a difficult day for our family but from the time we entered this restaurant Asha and her entire team welcomed us with warm greetings . Everything was set up, the food was hot & delicious and Asha went above and beyond to ensure that our family had everything we needed during this emotional time. We got to reflect, enjoy good food and spend quality time to comfort each other. My deepest heartfelt Thank you to Asha & the entire team .
Food is great and affordable, wait is about 30-40 minutes if you walk in. Definitely call ahead! Came here for the second time, food is amazing and music is great.Owner is super friendly. Pepper shrimp and fried rice is 10/10!! Food is worth is the wait!!!
Guys they have cane juice!!! Since when?? It taste so good. I was shocked to see it here. Edit: Dec 9. They dont have cane juice by their original company. Its a different company now. The original one is by ~the azul~ bring em back!!
My husband called to order food and the East Indian girl who answered the phone is beyond rude. Because of her tone and they way she responded we cancelled the order. Please train your staff. I understand people have bad days but that was unacceptable.
Pepper shrimp was burnt but over all the food was good. Service is amazing
I wish I could give this place a better review because the food is very good but I had a terrible experience recently and likely won t be returning as a result. I called a few days ahead for a Large Tray of Vegetable Fried Rice for a company lunch. I asked if I should come pay ahead to ensure it was ready on the date I needed it for 11:30. I was under a tight timeline as I had other restaurants to go to. The lady on the phone said that I did not need to and it would be ready for 11:30 on the pick up date. On the day of, the restaurant called me at 11:22 and said the order was ready for pick up. I got to the restaurant at 11:30 and the girl at the counter said it would be 5 more minutes (which made no sense since they called me to say it was ready) but I said that was fine. I stood at the counter for 35 minutes and the work lunch started late because I had most of the food in my car along with this tray. I sent a request for management to call me but they have not.
The large size curried goat roti was delicious and was enough food for an entire day.
Food is delicious and authentic. Very consistent in taste and preparation each time I receive my order. Very friendly staff and excellent customer service. Allan, thank you for packing that pepper sauce for me. You did well!
The food wasnt really great the rice tastes like water and the chicken was pretty dry the salad was really honestly flavorless overall too expensive for what it is...
Absolutely delicious and massive Roti. Customer service is 10/10 took my call right at 7 (during close) and still served me and my wife. You guys rock. Made a return customer out of me for sure!
Order ahead. Drupatis the best
Hands down the best doubles, roti and saheena Ive had in Toronto! The saheena is loaded with spinach and absolutely cooked to perfection. The doubles is filled to the brim with channa and tasty as anything. The roti is spilling over with the best tasting dahl Ive ever and packed with curried chicken goodness. Amazing service, prompt and courteous and the restaurant is spotlessly clean!!! If you havent been here, youre definitely missing out
Great doubles, Roti and Shrimp Curry! Would highly recommend
Pepper sauce is my favorite sauce. I can handle the heat its fire!!
I ordered takeout yesterday and was amazed at how heavy the bag was. So much food and it was great.
My home away from home! Amazing food and the same quality and consistency every time!!! Very generous servings to go. Their turn over time for take out is amazing!!!
Apart from waiting 45 minutes for our food, it was worth it. Roti, doubles and bake and shark from the island of Trinidad and Tobago . Hmm so good.
i had a fantastic experience at this location. i ordered doubles : Fried won-tons shrimp dumplings, polourie, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice was all tasty and awesome. i experienced the Trini culture and im coming back with my family. The location looks great and its nice to have RSVP for big groups. They also recently got there liquor licence so drink up!!!
Taste and texture of the goat and lamb not very good.
In a word... amazing !
Was super excited to see this location during a drive and had to turn around to step in and see if my craving for Caribbean food would be satisfied. I will say that I am a loyal customer of Drupatis Scarborough. You can always catch me making the drive from Vaughan to there to satisfy my cravings. I was happy to see the inside of the establishment was open and airy, clean, and there is a beautiful mural on the wall to catch your eye when you walk in. The display menu is clear and easy to read, and there are paper menus available if you prefer those. My cousin and I ordered the boneless curry goat with rice, roti, a chicken double, chicken wontons, and shrimp wontons. Everything tasted delicious (and their pepper sauce is on point!). My only suggestion would be to plate the salad separately from the rice and goat. The service was great. The person assisting us was polite and friendly. We didnt have to wait long (but even if we had to, I wouldnt have minded). One thing I was happy about is that there is a sink with soap, water, and paper towels right beside the dining area so you can wash your hands before you eat (no hassle of having to go to the restroom to do so). I was told that theyre going to eventually start having music/dancing on Friday nights (Im assuming the vibe is like Tropical Nights in Scarborough), so Im really excited to spend some summer nights here. Give these guys a try and support local! Much better than any fast-food joint around!
Great food!
Attended this location yesterday with my family. Food was very good and roti made fresh. Many options, and great service. They were also very knowledgeable and accommodating of a food allergy. Portions are large. We had the roti, curry chicken, channa, jerk chicken, and fries and wings for a picky eater. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Restaurant and washrooms are exceptionaly clean. Will be back.
Their doubles are extra ordinary awesome!!! I am vegetarian so I have less options but I am never tired of their doubles Hospitality at its best with great food!! What else can we ask for!! Muts visit
Love this place. The roti is lip smacking good... jerk, curry goat and fish, all good
Asha I only found today you own this location. My first time discovering this location since I am from Markham. I have to say I came today at 3pm and I got the hottest and most tastiest doubles and aloe pie . Keep up the great work and keep representing. You are definitely keeping up the Drupatis name not like a few franchise that are not keeping the standards.
Just had lunch there today. Doubles are flavoured well. Dough is so soggy and just ruined it all. Curry goat had 6 pcs of goat, for 15$. I ll stick to Jamaican curry goat. Not going back ever. Plus was the hostess, she smiled and was very nice.
Have not had food from Drupatis in yrs since I lived in Scarborough. Was passing by their location in Woodbridge and had to stop in. Ordered doubles, chicken roti and chana and potato roti. Soo sooo good!!
Yesterday I tried the bbq chicken meal. I am sorry to say that I did sick from the meal.Wait time was 40 min. While I was eating the chicken I opened the coleslaw and to my surprise it was moldy. I ask the server what it was. Although she was so nice, and gave me a fresh one,my appetite was gone. I should have ask for my money back but just wanted to leave that place. The quality of the food is questionable. I would highly recommend an inspector.
Being an outsider tried Double for the very first time and I must say it was unique in taste in a nice way.
Purchased the rice, red beans and stew chicken which was really bland. No kind of taste or Trinidad flavor. The wontons was overpriced and tasted also flavorless. The quality in the food has dropped considerably since the last time I purchased food here.
We love their food but unfortunately it takes more than 30min to receive it. They are clearly understaffed so dont come here if youre expecting a quick bite. They have a huge and nicely renovated restaurant space but not enough wait staff (actually just one person at the till). Also we were charged $3 for a bottle of ginger beer and $6.75 for a peanut drink which was unexpected. Their food is super affordable but not the drinks. It would be better if the prices of each drink were clearly visible, so the charge isnt a surprise. Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options which is why I love their food. Also delicious Parking: Ample parking out front
Great food.
Such a clean place, clean washrooms, and the food is always great.
First time here, got the curry chicken roti. It was incredible, very fresh and great portion. Great flavours and spice level was just perfect.
Caribbean Trinidad style cooking..authentic taste , fresh and served with a smile. Restaurant is clean and tidy with comfortable seating. Recommend either dine in take out.
Delicious Caribbean Chinese Dishes and very clean restaurant.
If you want to treat yourself to a very flavourful tasty meal with great music, nice and friendly Caribbean atmosphere this is the place. Great menu, friendly service and decent prices.
Ive been enjoying Drupatis for over 25 years! I was well pleased when I saw they opened a restaurant walking distance from my home now in Vaughan! I could eat their doubles slight EVERYDAY! I am officially addicted to their chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein special! ADDICTED!!! Looking forward to at least another 25 years of delicious food and friendly service
Got doubles they were amazing, definitely ask for a little more than mild spice if you like them spicy, service was good but I agree I can get the peanut drink for $5 anywhere else but here is almost $7 for the drink.
Horrible experience. Owners are vulgar cursing at kids accusing them wrongfully of under age drinking. Food is not good either. Save your money and find a better place.
found hair in my food and staff was extremely slow in iq
food was cold and poorly made. Took a long time to come as well
This is where the bar should be set at when it comes to west indian food in Toronto. The only bad thing I can say is that it takes me 40 - 50 mins to get there with no traffic ( i live on the opposite end of the city). Ordered the Vegie 4 plate (biagan, pumpkin, 2 x okra) 1 goat Roti, 1 Chicken in the rough and 1 order of fried Shrimp Wontons. The vegie dishes were all flavorful and reminded me of eating moms favorite foods when I was younger. They were not only tasty, but they had the right flavouring for each dish and were not over powered with a singular spice or pepper. The shrimp wontons were just the right size and not more wrap then shrimp and were just the right balance between the two. The Goat essentially melted as I chewed. Nothing but good things to say about the actual store front and restaurant itself. The chefs at this specific location are fighting hard for the Drupatis name and doing thier family proud by serving dishes that invoke fond memories of this writers youth, but creating new memories as an adult. Vegetarian options: Many Vegie options Parking: Wide open parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs!!!
Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian options Prepared fresh, hot and tasty I ll be back
Attended an event recently at Drupatis Vaughan and it was a great experience. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service and the food was really good. I would definitely return. Very nice place! Vegetarian options: Tasty Parking: Good
Amazing food, amazing service and amazing atmosphere! I recommend the curry goat roti and chilli chicken with fried rice. Will definitely be back, especially on a Friday! They have a live dj playing really good music (Soca, chutney)on Friday! Allen is great!
Freshest doubles I ve had in a long time. Everything was great. Dude at the front wasn t overly friendly but the ladies working there were very nice and provided great customer service.
I have been to Drupatis in Etobicoke and had a fantastic experience but this location is terrible... I have been here twice and both times disgusting customer service...This guys seems like a owner who is always on phone , so busy that he doesnt even greet walk in customer ,doesnt even acknowledge , u keep waiting and waiting for someone to say hi and take your order... Even today when I went exact same thing... He was on phone , no noticing me coming inside, no greeting, not even asking other staff to come out and help..Nothing..Literally feels like u r begging and standing there for food by giving money... So disgusting...
Its about the wait times.... Calling ahead makes no difference Today as I wait. I was told 25mins. Its now 55 mins and my order is just now ready
Awesome curry goat roti. The portion size is massive. Very tasty authentic food.
Came here at 7pm ....website states they close at 8 ..was a little disappointed...as there were clearly people still inside...they stated they were closed....1 full hour before closing....
Really delicious food. Awesome service. Such a clean & nice seating. Great vibe from the staff. Thank you!
I don t understand how they re more than one location and alll the prices are different. I find it outrageous and to then be told different locations have different prices but for the same food I won t be spending any more money with you guys.
I think this restaurant is hit-or-miss depending on what you order. Everyone is praising the jerk chicken, but I decided to try other items on their menu. The appetizers were good (doubles, aloo pie, saheena, and pholourie), but the fish soup was extremely salty to the point where I had to treat it as gravy and eat with bread/rice. The Trini style BBQ chicken was great, but the chicken fried rice it came with was not very good. It seemed too overly loaded with soy sauce and the rice tasted old. The curry king fish was not our cup of tea. While the dhal puri roti was great, the curry was lacking flavour and just tasted like salty gravy. The fish was tough and didnt taste fresh, had an old-fish after taste. I think Id be willing to return to try the jerk chicken but otherwise Id steer clear of the other items. Im not too sure about the Chinese side of the menu.
Great tasting food and excellent portions! Give this place a try!
Delicious! I had the veggie rice and chicken lo mein at a party and had to find out more! Just had the curry goat and oh my gossshhh!! It s the best I ve ever had! So tender and juicy. So much FLAVOUR & FRESHNESS!! Also the portion is huge!! Definitely gonna try the jerk chicken next. Oh, and the customer service was .
My family and I came here after shopping at Vaughn mills and we were very satisfied with what we ordered. Everything tasted amazing and the place was very very clean! Will definitely recommend this location to family and friends!
Came here to eat with my father, the food was super tasty and portions matched the price paid. Definitely a place to try at least once!
Very clean, the girl at the front was very courteous. Will definitely shop here again!
Nothing else like it in Vaughan
IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD. The customer service in this restaurant is TERRIBLE ! I have been to other Drupati s in Toronto and they are so much better. After WAITING 25 MINUTES for my food mine was soggy and my mothers was dry. After I asking for more sauce for my mother, I was told that the meat comes PREPACKAGED so they cannot add anymore sauce. After AGREEING TO GUVE MY MOM EXTRA SAUCE. I had to ask for salad with my meal, and the salad they gave me was dry and lifeless. (Pictures attached) When I asked him about it, the cashier gave me attitude and told me that I complained too much. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thankfully I asked for a refund and my money was given back to me. WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. UPDATE: I kept the fish soup because it looked okay at the restaurant. Upon returning to my house and eating it ; it is very bland and the white squishy chunks (I m assuming is fish) are tasteless and as I said squishy. Not sure if it s even fish..
Delicious caribbean dishes and orders were filled promptly
The lady that took order was pleasant. The order however was wrong. I got beef instead of goat. The roti filling is on the minimal side and not very tasty. The Roti skin itself was tasty. The doubles did not taste fresh or flavourful. Don t plan to return. Ok you say it wasn t beef, then it s the strangest goat I have ever tasted.
One of my new favorite places to go lunch.
Got some doubles to go. Taste amazing and really full. Excited to try more stuff in the future. Place looks really nice, clean and new. Enjoy having roti places more North
Love their chicken roti! Awesome service !
Very clean, beautiful place
Generous portions, great vegetarian choices, clean, courteous, reasonable prices and most of all the food is amazing! I will now be a regular here.
The best West Indian restaurant. Very tasty food. Great service.
Why do you close at 7 20 Sunday? Why list the wrong closing time?
Absolutely amazing. The dining experience is a delight, Ive been a fan of Carribean cuisine for a very long time and this place has never failed. The fried rice is absolutely amazing and the jerk wings are probably the best wings Ive tasted in awhile. The aesthetic of the restaurant is stunning and everything is clean, the restaurant is never dirty everything is spotless.
Colleague and I had a quick bite here and honestly it was amazing. I had doubles after years and it wasnt oily but all super tasty. Inside was cleaned and organized plus the server was also super nice as we didnt have knowledge of double so she took her time to explain everything. Would definitely come back for proper main course dinner.
Great experience today at Drupatis Vaughan. Had doubles with my buddy and we both loved it. It very tasty. Keep up the good work. We will be back again to try other menu items.
We dined in at Drupatis in Vaughan today. We ordered doubles, pholourie, and the jerk chicken roti. It was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is beautiful, lots of seating available and it is very clean. *****The service was amazing*****The staff really take pride in what they do. Well done! Highly recommended. Well be back
First time visiting and dining at this location. Staff was extremely nice, friendly and outgoing. The food was fresh and hot and tasted amazing. Definitely worth checking out and dinning in is the way to go, for the freshest and best tasting food. We will definitely be coming back to this location soon.
Very authentic
I recently ordered twice from drupatis restaurant on weston rd. And let me tell u it was amazingly fresh the service was great and the owner allowed me to try goat which Ive always hated and it was amazing I hope that you guys exceed in this location cuz its great great fresh food .love it
First time in there. Had a nice chat with Allan. Atmosphere is very friendly, Caribbean music playing. Food was real yummy. They had a great selection of food but I decided to try the jerk chicken roti and a double. Really tasty and got a nice spice to it. Recommend you give it a try.
Drupatis covered lunch for the OFSAA Volleyball Tournament. Food was excellent! Officials were raving about how good the food was ! Could not have asked for a better lunch!
I bought there to buy vegetables fried rice.. Food is just so delicious I will recommend everyone to go there and customer service is brilliant. Girl with short height greet me in such a beautiful manner and I like the way she deals with customer. I always go there to buy food just because of her behavior.
Great service, and massive portions. The chow mein served as an impressive tower. The jerk chicken was blackened in so much spice and sauce that I initially thought it was burnt. They dont hold back on flavour, it is strong, and packs a kick spice wise.
One of their cleanest and the best branch they have.
found it! sooo good if youve been to the Scarborough location check this out too its soo good
Poulorie isnt recommend, nor is the wanton soup. BBQ chicken Trini style was good.
Best carribean food!!!
Visited Drupatis for the first time and really had a wonderful dining experience! The two girls thats served us were friendly and very hospitable. Food was served hot and delicious. Will definitely visit it again
The stuffed roti had coleslaw, which was sweet, and not what was expected from the dish traditionally
