Our dishes are made fresh with love and filled with great flavour, plus we pride ourselves in the fact that all of our food is free of MSG. Our goal at El Palacio Restaurant & Bar is to provide a great and fun environment for individuals as well as families to come enjoy our savoury meals and leave satisfied with their meal experience as well as our service. A wonderful hole in the wall! Food was amazing, service was amazing!! The house hot sauce is some of the best I’ve had! The Colombian black berry juice was out of this world!! Definitely recommend this place! If it is out of your way, GO!! Seriously go!!
Went to this place at the recommendation of a friend. It was very good food. It was also my first time trying pupusas , which I highly recommend. I would also like to say that the server Gladys was a very kind , pleasent, inviting person. It was my first time ordering food at this restaurant and she as very helpful with recommending foods. I will definitely return to this restaurant, I would like to dine in also seeing as the place puts out a great vibe. Thank you to all the staff who prepared my meal, and thank you especially to Gladys.

Came here first time today as I happened to notice the restaurant. Im very picky with burritos and never order them anywhere because of quality, but this was one of the best burritos I've ever had. Very large was full with half, and came with some nice fresh veg on side and avocado. Ordered an appetizer also that was great. They have a lot of unique menu items, including drinks (ask them about that). Service was really nice and owner was very sweet. Will happily come again.
Amazing! The owner was the sweetest, and the food was so tasty. 10/10 experience, I highly recommend trying the pupusas and hibiscus tea! I will be returning!!
First time trying Calentado, pupusas, and I forget what the appetizer was called (pork belly, plantain, with guacamole) and it was 👍 👌 👍. Thank you Gladys for taking the time to go thru the menu with us, and making us feel at home. Visit El Palacio if you want to support local family business, fresh ingredients and caring service. I will have to come back for Saturday karaoke and nachos!
I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and all I can say is this place is fantastic! Great food, great service, great music, great patio! I love this place and the vibe here! So many things on the menu I couldn’t decide easily! I definitely will be returning to this place!

My husband and I were very impressed and pleased with the food and service! They were also kind enough to modify an item on the menu for me as I do not consume dairy. The fresh smoothies were also amazing!! Highly recommend the Soursop Smoothie.

I tried the mango smoothie and it was the best smoothie I have ever had in my life, the empanadas are also amazing one of the best I ve tried! The place is so clean , the bathroom ,the counter, the table , the floor, everything! The service was great the people are kind and even though they are busy they don t leave you waiting, the food also doesn t take too long , and even if it did it s always worth the wait! There s a great variety on the menu and everything seems tasty. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Kindly, María victoria ( I m on the wrong account) my grandma recommended the place !

Welcoming prompt service, pleasant atmosphere, and good music. The breakfast plate was exactly what I was in the mood for (especially liked the plantains). Looking forward to going back for some pupusas, since my sister ordered one and it looked good.
You walk in and there s a white piano, so you know it s going to be a good vibe. The owner is very kind, with some very nice conversations and good recommendations for places to dance in the city. The food: best empanadas I ve had in the city, the ceviche is also amazing, the pupusas too! I heard that s there s open karaoke and dance Saturday nights starting around 9pm, so I ll have to stop by again!

I do not recommend this place if you have children since the lady who serves starts to complain that she has to clean up afterward because the children make a mess and that is uncomfortable. I better recommend the Mexican restaurant that is almost next door to Mi Pueblo. Mexican food is delicious, everything is delicious and they serve you very well.

Awful food, fish was over cooked and was burnt and waiter told me I have to tell them how I wanted it, very cooked or soft. I told her I understand when it comes to meat. She was super rude and confrontational.

Ordered beef steak and got the best traditional El Salvador style steak with baked beans fried rice and fried veggies in tomato sauce. Spicy sauce on the side loved it! The portion size was generous. Kids got quesadillas and it was perfect with cheese white sauce and chicken! Definitely recommend the food! Parking: Good parking in the commercial area. Kid-friendliness: Good food and good traditional fruit ice cream

the food is ok, but im confused whether this is a family restaurant or a drinking pub. the waitress dress attire makes it look more like a massage parlour. a family restaurant where families with children come to dine in, would not have to be misleading and should be warm and cozy with great food, at least that is what you would expect for the food prices you pay!!

I ordered take out. My family and I had some craving for pupusas. Is really good. we order multiple type of pupusas, tamales, horchata and yuca con chicharon (very nicely made not dry, like some places makes). The food: great filling and portion.
Excellent food
The food is okay. We went there today to have Pupusas and as soon as we sat down, we were told that last call for food and drinks was in less than 5 minutes. Granted it was 20:55... but they still had one hour until they officially closed. We ordered 8 Pupusas in total and the waitress brought two small containers to the table ( one for salsa the other for the coleslaw) . We asked the waitress if we could get more slaw and salsa and her answer was that she will have to charge us for it. We asked if she was being serious, and she mentioned that the amount of slaw and salsa we had was enough for 10 Pupusas. It was clear that she had already stored the condiments and didn t want to be bothered bringing them out again. When you pay $5.00 per Pupusa, and you have the audacity to try to charge for cheap sides... you will lose customers. Service has never been the best... but it s not as bad as La Pupusa Loka on Wilson . This restaurant is transitioning from amanecer salvadoreño to el palacio del sabor, but they are already being cheap on little things now, we will definitely go back to the location on islington and never frequent this new restaurant. Pupusas at the islington go for $ 3.50 and at this location the same item goes for $5.00 .
Lovely restaurant. I went to the one on islington and albion and enjoyed it. When I heard they had another location, i knew i had to visit it. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and is nice and clean. The food is amazing. For me, its hard to find a good salavadorian restaurant. The horchata and cevada are deliciouse and people there are friendly. Will definitely be coming back for sure.

Delicious food
Great food, we tried the chicharron pupusa, and the steak and shrimp plate. The food was fresh and great taste. One of the best latin food weve tried in Toronto.
The waitress was very friendly but the atmosphere was not familiar at all, there was a group of people drinking too much and shouting, saying bad words and insulting each other, they were already very drunk. We went for the rice pupusas but they didnt have them and the corn pupusas were not what we expected. Being there with my children waiting for the pupusas and listening uncomfortably to that group of people who didnt let us talk because they were singing and insulting each other... maybe they believed that the restaurant was just for them. Im not saying that they dont sell beer but maybe they should sell 3 maximum per person or at least not pretend that it is a family restaurant if they are going to have that atmosphere. Personally, I will not return to this place.
Food is so good here
Fresh and abundant dish, could not finish it, but it was so delicious, they wrap the leftovers which I really enjoy it at midnight!
