Perla Oyster Bar & Grill in Woodbridge

I hosted a dinner/private event for 20 executives and I couldnt recommend how easy it was to work with Perla and Julia the owner. Ive recently moved to Toronto from NYC, and had no idea about good restaurants in the area for an event like this. My guests had such a wonderful time! They raved about the restaurant. The food was just exceptional, abundant and Julia and her team were extremely easy to work. They gave me two options to consider for space, were very flexible and the service was on point. Highly recommend, and if I have to host something in Vaughan again, I definitely will there.

Food is incredible. Can t say enough good things about it. The only suggestion is to better heat the window seats on the patio in the winter. There s definitely a cold draft that comes in from the window. But after some convincing we were moved to a much more comfortable spot where we enjoyed the rest of our experience. Great place over all.

My good friend and I visited Perla to celebrate her birthday, and we had an incredible time! Our server Ale was exceptional and made our experience even more memorable. We ordered the grilled octopus, mushroom risotto and ossobuco ravioli, both of which were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this venue for any occasion, and we can t wait to return soon!

My girlfriends took me here for my birthday and the whole dining experience was great. Our server Eric was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of oysters, pasta and risotto and service was quick and food was delicious. Discovered that cascumpec oysters are my new favourite. Would highly recommend coming here, great atmosphere and vibes.

I was there last night for dinner and had an amazing time. The service was perfect. I order the Gnocchi and lobster pasta and it was mouth watering. Perfect flavour. It will now be my go to dish every time I come for dinner.

Went for my fiances birthday and the reviews reflect the restaurant perfectly. The food was so good (burratini, French Onion soup, steak, lobster linguini, tiramisu, a bottle of red and a cute Christmas cocktail). The service was efficient, and everyone was very friendly. They even comped the dessert and brought it out with a sparkler! Highly recommend for a nice night out/celebration.

Our dinner was amazing, we were out with friends, had Ceaser salads, calamari & oysters as starters. Main meals were Cece de Pepe mushroom risotto & seafood linguine. All the food and wine was outstanding but the highlight was the amazing service, Eric our server was outstanding!! One of the best servers we have ever experienced. Recommend making a reservation, a little on the expensive side but a great time for sure.

Just had an incredible meal at Perla. Our server Haim was next level amazing. A true 5 star experience. Dietary restrictions: My sister and I are celiac and she is allergic to dairy and our server told us that anything on the menu could be adapted for our allergies.

To the owners. Excellant food some of the best food i have had the pleasure of eating in my lifetime, portions where very generous . Your seafood is amazing scallops so sweet calamari so tender cooked to perfection and the rack of lamb with the black cherry reduction fantastic so much fantastic food the deserts again great i could go on and on . I was here last Tuesday with my mom and we liked the food , the service was good and we inquired about having a booking for a large party. So we were given an email and told that there is someone named Julia to talk to. So I emailed her on Wednesday and nobody got back to Me. So next day I called the restaurant she picked up the phone and I said respectfully I emailed her about the booking. The amount of attitude this lady has is just crazy. She was like yeah I seen it I ll reply soon. Like excuse me ? Okay. So I said okay thanks .today is Friday she still didn t get back to me. As a client I feel disrespected and neglected, I never seen worse customer service in my life, I am not sure what Julia thinks customer service is but what she provides is not it. Makes me not want to visit this place again.

What impressed me the most was that every staff member -no matter their position- said hello and welcomed us into this fine establishment. We had the raw bar tower and it was more than we imagined. Our host, Chloe, made the experience for us. Her grace, knowledge and kindness were above and beyond what we expected. Thank you Chloe for making our 32 anniversary a memorable one. My first experience two years ago was amazing. Unfortunately I was there on Saturday at the new location, food was bland, my drink Whiskey Sour was awful, cheesecake was good. Service was good. Cappuccino was disgusting.

It s not everyday that I write review that is because I like to make sure I give credit where its actually desrved. I also don t like to write half ass reviews because someone asked me to and offered me 10% or a free app if I do it. I attended Perla yesterday around 6:00pm for the first time at their new location. Now, I have attended their previous location back during COVID when every restaurant took a hit and I will be honest and say it was good not amazing. But I did understand the struggle and did not fault them. I was so happy to see that they expanded and opened this BEAUTIFUL location. Looks aren t everything but definitely a good start. I was greeted by an amazing hostess where her and her partner moved things around in order to accommodate my friend and I who did not have reservations. She didn t want to sit me at a table where we would have to move after an hour. I mean this already is a good sign that they are doing something right if on a Monday they are super busy where they have to play tetris to accommodate a walk-in. So thank you to the hostess (I wish I caught your names). While I waited for my friend, our server came and introduced himself. Eric Eric with a C to be specific. From start to finish he was PHENOMENAL! He is attentive, funny and VERY knowledgeable and could sell you air haha I am fairly indecisive I want everything but obviously can t. I asked him to pick 2-3 items from each section to recommend and he nailed it. Pretty much everything I had my eye on, he recommended. Which made it a bit more difficult but from there we chatted a bit more and by process of elimination I finally decided. No regrets that Seafood Linguine CRAVABLE. I never order pasta because I feel like most places butcher them or it never WOWS me. I could write so much more but no one has time to read. It s not everyday where you get top notch service. It s hard to find good workers nowadays but Perla got them all! THANK YOU ERIC WITH A C AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO MADE MY DINNER ONE TO REMEMBER!

Just okay! Went for dinner with a few friends and don t think this place lives up to its prices! $150 a person for an okay dinner. Downtown prices without the grandeur or flavour. Had the Osyter Rockafella, which were good but tasted like a pepperoni pizza (never had them and wasn t sure if what to expect) . Tried the clams in white sauce, they were missing flavour. Tenderloin was good, but nothing special.

Came for the first time yesterday and truly enjoyed my time! I loved the food. I ve been to the location at Weston rd which is way smaller than this location however the food was great. Oysters tasted good and weren t too fishy. Lobster mac and cheese tasted great and the portion was perfect. Lamb chops were small and they were served with the chefs choice of starch which wasn t something we liked however my partner still tried it. Definitely would come back as the ambience is extremely nice and it s perfect for date night.

Perla is an AMAZING restaurant for both food as well as service. My family and friends have had dinner there many times and each time we have been blown away with the delicious meals and attention to details by our servers. I have also dealt with Julia when making reservations and she always makes a point to come check in and ensure all is perfect while dining. 10/10 would recommend!

I recently celebrated a birthday dinner at the new location. I loved going to the older one and was excited about having my dinner. While the food was good as usual. 1 particular server did not make my experience for my guests and I an enjoyable one. The young men working there were AMAZING! I commend them for being so on top of things and efficient. Thank you boys. I did have to let a manager know. Julia rectified everything quickly, and made me feel so much better. She is also AMAZING! Thank you so much Julia for handling the situation with such grace!

Dined at Perla last night and the experience was nothing short of perfection. Everything was amazing. The staff from beginning to end was so friendly and welcoming and the service was incredible. Manager even came and chat with us for a while. This place is top notch. I am so happy we have a new hot spot in Vaughan! Food was amazing can t wait to return with family! Dietary restrictions: My partner is coeliac and they were very accommodating with all the dishes, especially making sure and reassuring there wasnt any cross contamination of gluten.

WOW! Dined at Perla yesterday evening and everything was absolutely incredible. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD and the service was nothing short of amazing. The servers were so kind and knowledgeable about each option on the menu. They were so personable and kind and really went out of their way to ensure a spectacular guest experience. We tried the lobster rolls and they were just incredible. We had such a blast and will definitely return again soon. Interested to find out more about hosting a private event also - the decor and ambiance is so pretty. Highly, highly recommend not only for how delicious the food was but for how amazing the service was.

First time coming here. We came for our anniversary. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everyone was amazing. The food was tasteful, hot and presentation was perfect. I ve never experienced a restaurant where all the staff were so attentive to their customers. Highly recommend and will be returning back to experience another great dinner!!! This was our first time trying this restaurant, and it definitely wont be our last. Our server Marc, was incredible. He was super friendly, charismatic, and attentive. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary here. We honestly didnt have very high expectations given the location of the restaurant, but were very pleasantly surprised. The service was incredibly attentive and warm. We never felt rushed but also always felt as though someone was checking in on us. The food came out at an excellent speed and was very fresh and hot. Oysters were incredibly fresh. I recommend for a special occasion.

Great selection of oysters and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting to your preferences.

We had a reservation for 9 pm for 3 ppl. We waited for 40 min for our table. People were coming in and leaving, but we were told were waiting for a specific table. So we just stood there and waited for those specific people to finish their food !!!!! At 9.40 we got sitted. The waiter came, poured some water and disappeared for another 15 minutes. He didnt ask us if we want anything. At this point we got up and just left. An hour of our precious time! An hour of 3 different babysitters wage is wasted on a lass of water at this place. If you dont have staff, dont book so many people.

The service and food were amazing! We came with a few friends for dinner and shared the seafood tower which was delicious! Our server, Alessia, was very nice and attentive. The manager, Julia, was also great and checked in on our table to see how things were going. Fun atmosphere as well with music. Would definitely recommend for a get together with friends.

First off I want to congratulate Perla for opening a new location it s well deserved !!! Food is always great here ! Service is always great aswell EXCEPT for when the bill was to come out. We had a large party for a bday celebration Saturday when we asked for the bill the waitress was repeating the rules one bill etc and making us feel as if she thought we couldn t pay it or if we would have had an issue to split. We allllll visit Perla regularly we know how it works. We did not like being spoken to as if we had no money. I notice this in alot of fancy steakhouses when we go as a large group and it s not nice. Please use some caution going forward do not judge your patrons it s not nice. Other than that this is still the best restaurant in the GTA! The Lobster Gnocchi I would eat every day if I could.

Overall good experience. The wait times were a little longer than preferred but the server was very kind about it. The quality of food was good, in particular the appetizers. We ordered the beef carpaccio, scallops and burratina. The entrees were good (sea bass and short rib), although the cacio e pepe was a little oily. The dessert is what disappointed me a little as we ordered the sticky toffee pudding (which is a favourite dessert of mine). The pudding itself was good, however for such a fine restaurant, I would have expected a higher quality ice cream as it tasted like the cheap Breyers/Chapmans brand. Overall, this is was good dining experience but it lost some points due to things that make it less worth it for the price.

First time at Perla and they did not disappoint. The food and service was amazing, 10/10, everything was fresh and delicious! Our server Marcus was great as well. My husband and I enjoyed our time there for our anniversary.

Weve been here a couple times and cant wait to come back! We came on a Sunday with no reservation, the dining side was so busy so we sat at the bar and we cant say enough good things about Amaya!! She took such good care of us, her drinks were perfection, and she filled our water multiple times.The kitchen and wait staff here never disappoint. Food was great minus the oysters which still had grime and salt on them. Not sure why they wouldnt rinse the shells before serving. Kinda gross if you ask me but other then that drinks and the rest of the food was good. Server was attentive.

I had such an amazing experience here at Perla. It has been my go to spot since they had their old location. I absolutely love their menu from their drinks, appetizers, main courses till their desserts. The only thing I would ask for is for them to bring back their burrata. It was on the menu at their previous location but I have heard recently they discontinued it. I came multiple times just to have it! Also, they should consider making a lunch menu just to have lighter meal options. Everything 10/10 and cannot wait to come back!

The appetizer drinkd and seafood is great. The steak is a flop. Oreded med rare, it came well done. I sent it back, a few minutes later they brought me blue rare. The folks in the kitchen cannot cook a steak.

We came as a group of four without reservations on a Sunday. The place was relatively empty, save for one or two groups. There is a dress code but it wasnt enforced on that particular day. Thankfully so, since I wasnt dressed the part and some people at other tables were in tank tops. The ambiance is definitely classier and upscale, with tasteful and modern decor. Service was quick and friendly, with our server being open to giving his suggestions. We ordered the octopus, crab cakes, and various other things (not pictured). I got the branzino for myself. Portion sizes were solid. The octopus had great texture, but was definitely over-seared to the point where it just tasted burnt. The crab cakes had a great crust and good crunch, although the crab flavour itself was a bit muted. The branzino was pretty disappointing. I noticed a lot of scales still left on my dish as I ate, which were getting all over the place. The fish itself was also extremely bony (characteristic of branzino, but still) and I found myself picking bones or scales out of my mouth on every other bite. The experience was a nuisance for an underwhelming taste. Perhaps it was an off night or we got the wrong dishes, but I was quite let down by the food considering the ratings (4.8*) and the price point. Id maybe try it again, although I would definitely opt for other offerings.

Our son took us out for our anniversary. It was nice but the futucino I ordered the lobster was overdone (rubbery) too bad it was a good size lobster tail. My husband and I ordered the keylime pie, the crust was soo hard that we couldnt cut it with the fork. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. We told the waiter about the dessert and he just said he would lt the chef know!...

Visited Perla Oyster Bar a couple of weeks ago and it was a great first experience. Coming from someone who has a seafood/fish allergy but still likes to go out and try new places- it was great. Wish there were a few more appetizer options to choose from for people like me but the warm bread and olives were perfect a perfect start. My guests all tried the seafood, oysters, seabass and I had the beef tenderloin. All amazing. It was a busy Saturday night, the live saxophone player was a nice touch. If you dont like loud places, then probably not for you as it was loud with the music and the open concept space. The ambiance is really nice though; the Feng shui fountain out front was a nice touch too. Our only complaint was how cold it was in the restaurant. Not your regular A/C on...it was freezing and truthfully a bit uncomfortable ( when the guys who are always hot complain its freezing- its freezing) Several other people were saying the same thing when we went outside for a smoke. I guess theyre still figuring a few things out. Wed still go back for the food and ambiance and to support local. If youre unsure about going...you should definitely give it a try!!

We ve visited the old location a few times, and this was our first experience at the new spot. What a transformation! The place looks stunning and feels like you re in downtown Toronto. The one thing that stayed consistent from the old location is the exceptional quality of the food and service. Although prices are on the higher side, the food s quality and the ambiance make it worth every penny. The fresh oysters were delightful, the calamari melted in your mouth, and the Lobster Linguini was perfectly executed. Our server, Deema, was fantastic attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. We can t wait to return for more.

We visited the restaurant for the first time , Chloe was our waitress and Julia the manager both checked many times to make sure all was good from food to service , food was very delicious, and we enjoyed the ambiance atmosphere and service was beyond exceptional , highly recommend this restaurant.

I ve been going to Perla for some time now, however this was my first visit to the new location! And WOW!!! It is VERY different from the small intimate place I had been used to! For sure a different vibe! The new building is absolutely beautiful! Love the addition of the raw bar! We attended for my birthday with a party of 10 people. Our server Jackie was unbelievable!

Great food, but very pricey for a strip plaza restaurant! The restaurant itself is beautiful. The various staff/service was inconsistent and the ambiance was much too loud to enjoy your company /conversation.

Amazing night with 8 of us at Perla celebrating my wifes birthday. It was our first time as it was highly recommended. Appetizers were excellent. Also had a dozen PEI oysters that tasted very fresh. Mains that included Oso Buco and Chilean sea bass were very good. Vegetable sides were limited to chefs choice. Service was very attentive. Great looking place and was a bit expensive but well worth it.

Came with my 11 year old daughter, she s an oyster lover. Just ask for Alessia. Definitely coming back !!

New location (REVIEW UPDATE): I gave the new Weston/Major Mac a chance for the first time and I was extreme pleased. The staff are all beyond friendly, accommodating, and a FULL service restaurant. The live saxophonist was phenomenal on Friday evening. Really gave it a nice personal vibe. The food is still great as well! I will absolutely be returning. Old location: Food is good. The menu options are are pretty similar in all honesty. Our server Cassandra wasnt good. I think experiencing this place once is good enough

Owners family should not be managing. Having a good time chatting with the bartenders (not a busy time) and owners son (knew it was family by the way he was acting) came and the whole vibe changed. Interrupted our conversation, showing no respect for the customer or staff. Hes pointing out this and that not even helping out. Definitely looked like a power trip. Left pissed off. Still pissed off. Staff was great. On the fence about going back. Probably will because of the bartenders.

My husband and I love going to Perla for date night. It is quite expensive so we can t go too often but their food is delicious. Also, you basically have 0 luck getting a table for evenings or weekends without a reservation, which can be frustrating (hence the 4 stars). Wait time for food can also be long. Perla s raw oysters are so good, and their new location is very nice.

My partner and I visited Perla Oyster Bar for our anniversary. The food, atmosphere & service was top-notch. I cannot find words to describe Ales service quality, attention to detail and his ability to make the guests feel special in his own unique way. We celebrated a birthday in the private area with a set menu. The food was to die for. I loved the calamari, short ribs, and crab cakes. Fresh and hot. My main course was the sea bass, it was the largest, flakiest, freshest portion of fish I ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Delicious. My husband ordered the ny steak, and it was great. My only comment about that was they wouldn t allow him to change the doneness of his meat, they only offered medium, and to be honest it was basically almost well done. Probably because we were a party of twenty, but I don t think too large that they shouldn t be able to accommodate meat doneness preferences. But otherwise delicious. Also the lobster linguine was delicious, however we noticed some people got more lobster claws in there s than others. Service: There was some confusion about which seats got which entrees when the main courses came out. Not sure why, possible because there was only one main server for a large party. Definitely two servers would ve been nice to have for a party that large. We did wait a while for a first round drink order, but wine came fast to the table. I loved that they cleared appetizer plates, brought fresh cutlery between courses and also wiped the table down. Great touches coming from a previous restaurant manager. They also allowed enough time between appetizers and entrees, it did not feel like they were rushing us. The food was definitely the star of the experience. Again I am raving about the sea bass because it was grilled to perfection. Whoever grilled my sea bass is a star. We will definitely be back for our anniversary dinner in a couple of weeks. Kid-friendliness: I noticed a change table in the bathroom stall. Definitely a plus for families.

Horrible experience! We had reservations for five on August 3 to celebrate my dad s 83rd birthday. The service was awful. We were never asked if we wanted additional drinks after our first drink order which took a half hour to come. Our appetizers were forgotten and brought out to us an hour and a half after being at the restaurant which we had to follow up on. When the meals finally came out three hours later my dad s meal was wrong.. he ordered mushroom risotto and received a seafood risotto which he could not eat due to dietary restrictions. The excuses we were given was that they were busy with large parties and that our waiter was new. Fridays and Saturdays are supposed to be busy in restaurants and they should make accommodations for that. In regards to the-waiter being new, shame on you Perla for not having him shadowed.

I recently visited Perla with a group of five, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We ordered a variety of dishes including two calamari appetizers, two orders of the rack of lamb, linguine, ribeye, and Chilean seabass, along with several drinks including spicy margaritas, sangria, Moscow mules, and red wine. The food was incredibly bland and tasteless. The rack of lamb, which we ordered medium and medium rare, both came out well-done and flavourless. The seabass was fishy and unpleasant, the rice that accompanied the fish tasted like minute rice and was cold and completely bland. The mashed potatoes that accompanied the lamb dishes were cold. The atmosphere was loud, making it hard to enjoy our meal and our company. Our server, Eric, was nice and attentive, but when he noticed that we hadnt eaten most of our food and asked if there was an issue, I explained that the food was tasteless. He just frowned and did not offer to get a manager or do anything to address our concerns. Overall, we were very disappointed and wont be returning or recommending this place to anyone. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Visited this place on Friday night and what a lovely surprise for Vaughan. Food was good. French onion soup was one of the best Ive had. Mushroom Risotto was yummy. A bit too much AC but really nice atmosphere. What made it for my husband and I was the music. Such a tasteful selection from their DJ. Well certainly be back if that DJ is there.

Went to celebrate my fiancés birthday last night. Everything was exceptional. The service was amazing the food was absolutely incredible the atmosphere was beautiful! We had a group of 7. Our server recommended a nice seafood platter. Everything on it was delicious. No one was disappointed in their entrees. We got a complimentary dessert on the house which was super kind of the server! Needless to say an amazing restaurant. I can t wait to go back!

Beautiful venue to host a gathering, they also have a live dj on weekends. What a great experience! Was greater by friendly staff, cozy intimate space with live music. Food and service is always top tier here. The truffle fries and seafood are a must during any visit.

Overall the restaurant is beeeautiful, but the food missed the mark a little considering the caliber of the restaurant and price point. Dishes that missed the mark: 1) Seafood salad ($27) was overcooked, and flavour was underwhelming. Shrimp was pretty chewy. Overall dressing / seasoning were bland. 2) Chicken fingers and fries - nothing wrong but nothing special. It definitely tasted like it could be frozen / pre-made and also was not served with any sauce. 3) beef carpaccio ($20) - also very underwhelming and under seasoned.. Decent 1) truffle fries ($17) - large portion but essentially its fries sprinkled w Parmesan and truffle salt... A bit steep considering. 2) escargot ($15) - good, but not better than the Kegs Excellent dishes 1) lobster max and cheese ($44) - super! So flavourful. Perfectly executed. A must try! 2) osso bucco entree ($39) - exceptional! Large portion, so tender and flavourful. Highly recommended. 3) fried calamari ($21) - flavourful, crispy but light batter 4) oysters were very fresh, served w standard lemon and horse radish for ~$4 each 5) desserts - all enjoyed the pistachio cake and the tiramisu was excellent We did not try the seafood tower. It was $350 for one that would serve 2-3 people. Although Im raving about some of these dishes, the price is quite steep overall, and considering a third, almost half of the dishes fell short, you can see why its a bit disappointing. Also I REALLY wish theyd offer a happy hour drinks or oyster special. The restaurant is so beautiful, they ought to get more patrons bustling through the doors.

The food was simply excellent. One of the best seafood restaurant in the GTA. Just one issue, we felt bit rushed, if one is spending $ 250+ on a dinner, you expect to sit and relax. We were asked to leave the table within the first 1.5 hrs, which was bit disappointing and ruined the whole experience. Although, our server was still amazing and polite about it, I believe this situation should have been handled better.

I ve been going to the old Perla location ever since they opened and till this day the service, food, atmosphere and client love has been AMAZING. They treat their customers like family and eventually you feel like family upon becoming a regular. We ve celebrated many celebrations at this restaurant and I look forward to celebrating more in the near future. The new location s ambiance is chic, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive, making us feel like home from the moment we walk in. And the food? Absolutely 100/10. Don t even get me started on the dessert, our favourite dessert is the pistachio cake. Overall, this exceeds our expectations in every way. Still at the restaurant but had to leave a review. I ve been going to Perla s old location since they opened and what a pleasure to see the growth and the success they have built over the years. The new location is absolutely so stunning, and classy. As our waiter said she s been to some of the most nicest restaurants downtown and non of them compare and I believe she absolutely describes it perfectly. The ambience is everything. The service is immaculate and the food never fails.

Service is lacking. They cancelled a birthday reservation last minute and didn t even call us.

Owner/management (old man) visibly treats staff poorly. I have been here twice and both times have witnessed the same man degrade his own staff. I pity everyone who works here. Food is pretty good though.

Amazing food with great depth of flavour. The beef dishes were super tender and flavorful, juicy and smokey. Great seafood and fried calamari. Oysters were super fresh and tasty as well as the baked dressed oysters. Great dedicated staff and waiters. Bar service and drinks were extremely good too. Highly recommend.

I visited Perla last weekend for my birthday and absolutely love the new place! From the decor, to the food, and definitely the service, everything is fantastic. Perfect place for a date night!!! The moment when you just walk through this establishment, you re greeted by friendly staff who seat you right away . The tables are spacious and the seats are super comfy. We were greeted by Chloe who accommodate us this evening. She made beautiful suggestions on the menu (they have quite big menu to choose from). My husband and I started with the raspberry oysters which were immaculate!! They were served on a dish with ice, and other condiments. Next, we tried the scallops with caviar - seared to perfection. So tender and sweet. My husband had the Osso Bucco - phenomenal. Seasoned beautifully and so tender. The meat fell off the bone. I tired the chillian seabass. Very buttery and quite filling. We were so impressed with the food quality and taste. It s not often that you have delicious food, impeccable service and amazing atmosphere all in one. We can t wait to come back! Thank you Chloe for making our night special . Can t wait to come back!

Perla is an amazing mix of authenticity and modern excellence. The atmosphere is contagious (the live saxophonist is so amazing), the service is phenomenal (shoutout the entire bar staff, especially Daniella!), and the food is pristine. I have yet to have a bad meal (the scallops, seafood risotto, mussels, lobster mac, & seafood linguine chef s kiss). The portions are worth every penny and I leave Perla even happier than when I left. Thank you all!!!

Me and my boyfriend went on a date here last Saturday. Needless to say, save ur money and go somewhere else. Our waiter recommended the dragonfruit mojito and I made sure to ask if it was sweet it was super mid, not sweet and in fact very sour. my bfs drink was okay some sort of whiskey sour. We ordered 3 apps. The oysters were good, the muscles were okay but many of them were not opened and cooked for long enough. My boyfriend was spending more time prying the shells open for us than eating that dish. The calamari again very mid. He ordered a fish for his main, he said it was good but the fish he originally wanted they weren t offering that evening. Wouldn t that be customary for the server to let your guests know what you re out of before letting your guests order. His fish also came with this yellow rice that looked and tasted exactly like minute rice. Unseasoned and dry. Lol his dish was $50 and it came with minute rice, we could ve made better at home. I got this steak it was again.. mid not worth $60 and the chimi churri sauce sucked. The waiter also gave us bottled water without giving us an option to order tap. He literally just kept recommending things to get us to spend money, even when the recommendations sucked like mojito. The bill came and it was wrong. There were multiple coffees and espressos on it when we didn t order them. He clearly thought we wouldn t notice to try to get us to spend more. Good thing my bf read over the bill. Also the music was good, but way too loud we couldn t even hear ourselves talk. Don t get me wrong, we re not Karen s we re big fans of music lol and in our early 20s.. but that volume was just unfit for an expensive dinner restaurant where you expect to communicate and converse with one another. The Keg or literally anywhere else is better. Save your money for a better dining experience. Not worth the $300+ we spent.

In the evening, I had a reservation at another restaurant but decided to change it to Perla Oyster Bar because of the great experience I had earlier. To my delight, Jacki happened to be our server again. Her service was consistently amazing, and the food remained top-notch. Perla Oyster Bar has now become my go-to spot for both business and personal dining. Highly recommended!

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. A big table with kids. They were so amazing and very patient with us and our kids who a lot of times were not staying in their seat. The food was amazing. We ordered the seafood tower, The crab cakes, grilled octopus, Ozzo buco and scallops... delicious! We will definitely be going back again. Probably in their new location, as they are relocating to a bigger spot.

The second time, William wasn t our server but he remembered us and stopped to chat for a bit. I had the lobster bacon Mac n cheese (highly recommend) this time. YUM. You won t be disappointed!
