This is definitely one of the best Chinese food places I ve ever tried.

A true gem - such great food

All I can say is it is THE BEST EVER!!! Quality is bar none. I just ordered from here and picked up for the 2nd time and the quality is second to no one. The portion, price and taste is 100! The owner is the nicest lady on earth and I just can t say enough good things. Once you order from here you will not go anywhere else!!!!

The food was fantastic. And the interactions with staff were very pleasant. However the overall dining experience itself left a lot to be desired - it took us over an hour to get our food despite the place being nearly empty + dirty dishes from previous diners were still out on tables the whole time we were dining. Definitely our go to takeout. The owner is always really nice and hooks you up with fresh dessert. You can tell they care about the quality of food they put out. Shame its often passed by since its not a high foot traffic area.

Was really excited to try this place. Finding parking was really tough but after finally finding a spot in the residential area and walking over at 12:15pm it was closed, despite google showing them as open. Knocked on the door. Called and no answer there either. Super disappointing because we went out of our way on our day off to come here for lunch given the great reviews.

The female owner is a lovely lady and her food is delicious. Ive been to a lot of Chinese restaurants and shes definitely in the top 5 in Toronto, arguably top 3.

I must admittedly reluctantly agree with the rest. Dont let some of the pictures fool you. Every piece of General Tso was cooked to perfection and exactly the right seasoning to me. The beef was perhaps the weakest yet once I realized the juices at the bottom were much more garlic soaked and took my time chewing the beef I found it wonderful if subtle. The Shanghai noodle with chicken has like at least 8oz of chicken and could serve as its own full protein meal. The noodles while perhaps a tad overdone were so delicious, obviously cooked in some kind of broth and each noodle bursting with flavour. Plus mango coconut custard pudding not on the menu which were Yum! 10/10 will return. That simple looking on the outside yet amazing once goes beneath the surface hidden gem/neighborhood favorite.

It was my first time ordering from Qinthai. A few minutes after ordering, I got a call from the restaurant. She confirmed our order and ensured that the food was going to be warm when it arrived. We ordered the lemon chicken, general Tao, and egg fried rice with green onion - everything was scrumptious. The lemon chicken was crispy and offers the perfect batter to chicken ratio. Wow. So great. It was our first order here and we were very happy. The veggies were so bright and perfectly cooked. The shrimp were fresh and delicious. The wonton soup was super tasty. We will order again. Next time we will focus on the Thai options from the menu.

We visited on Christmas for dinner and it was the most delicious Chinese food I ve ever had. The staff were so lovely and generous. They brought us a delicious mango dessert. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend take out or eating in for a great experience.

Don t order for delivery. Placed my order with a 50min eta, called after 1 1/2hr, was told my order would be ready shortly. After 3hrs, I called for an update and was told my order was still on a wait list. Delays can be understood, but transparency is important, I had 8 guests waiting for food that never came.

Ling was an amazing hostess/server. She was very welcoming and shared her ideas on what to order based on our preference. The meal was very tasteful and freshly prepared by her husband. Herbs and spices were mouthwatering throughout the experience. Meals are reasonably priced. Vegetarian options: There are items on the menu for strict vegans and pescatarians alike.

This place serves the gourmet version of the typical Chinese take-out. I ordered sweet and sour chicken on noodles, and sesame chicken. Both were delicious and flavourful! I got the first-timer special -- mango pudding. Chefs kiss!

First time ordering from this spot , We ordered thier egg fried rice , sesame chicken , salty spicy squid, wonton soup and hot and spicy soup. Absolutely delicious , worth every penny , the quantities are pretty big . Their homemade hot sauce is perfect. And they have delivery !! We will definitely be ordering again. 10/10

The absolute best Chinese I ve ever had in my life. I didn t get her name but the mother of the family restaurant was fantastic! Food was amazing. Service was unreal and each of us literally wanted to give her a hug from the level of care and service that was given. I definitely recommend to go. Everything tastes fresh, delicious and flavourful. The lady working here is extremely friendly and generous. The dishes were not over salted or overly sugary, one thing I dislike about most Chinese takeout but here felt more authentic. Its a hidden gem and I really encourage people to tip this chef well, she deserves it.

Came across Qinthai by chance and got takeout from them for the first time tonight and was very pleased with both our dishes. I read the other reviews since our regular place shut down. I read this was the best Chinese food ever and the reviewers were absolutely right! This WAS the best Chinese food we have EVER had and the service was absolutely stellar!!!!! You dont get that kind of service anymore! Both the owners were wonderful - The kitchen is clean, the food is fresh and the mango pudding and home made hot sauce was unbelievable!!! This is definitely our new go to place! Dont hesitate. The definition of a hidden gem. The online ordering menu isnt completely reliable, their advice to me was to just call them on the phone and tell them what you need. The woman who served us our takeout order was extremely kind and thoughtful, she asked if we wanted sauce on the side for deep-fried dishes and gave us a portion of her freshly home-made hot sauce (SO good). Ive had a lot of Chinese takeout in my time and based on my first experience this place is really special. Fresh, well-made and just delicious food. I think Ill be coming back many times.

Great food, very reasonable prices, friendly service... a hidden gem! Everything was good, but my favorite was the mango salad: just the right balance of sweet and tart. Their homemade hot sauce goes great with pretty much everything. Get some custom made fragrant tea to go along and it just warms the soul. Its truly a hidden gem. Parking in the area can be a pain and no parking in front of the restaurant: you could easily drive right by without knowing its there.

Its so delicious. Its a Chinese restaurant hidden in the busy city. Only after eating it will you know that a foodies ceiling can be satisfied here. Its better to eat it once than to talk about it more often.

The Food in this restaurant is really delicious! I love the yongchow fried rice and the wonton soup that we bought here last night. The staff was also friendly and offered us a 3 free mango pudding We will definitely comeback for sure :)

Theres something very special about this hidden gem in York. Good Chinese food can be hard to come by but the food here is top quality and made with special care and attention. The server, Ling, was super enthusiastic and clearly cares about her job. She made sure that the food was up to her standards and was very thorough in explaining about any delays in our order. We ordered the Cantonese fried rice and chow mein along with some chicken wings. Honestly, some of the crispiest and most tender wings weve had. The spicy sauce was also so bomb. She gave us some mango pudding and it was sooo good!! I will be coming back!!!

This was the BEST Chinese food we have had in a VERY long time. Fresh quality ingredients. Best deep fried shrimp in town! Portions are generous. All the sauces are made from scratch and are SO good! So nice to have a good place to eat at again!

Food was below average i ordered chow mein soft noodles like whyy wasnt the veggies and sauce mixed together nobody asked for such a separation different containers and come home to mix my own food hell no. The awful wait time over 40 mins never again.

0 stars really!! This food made me throw up my guts. I thought I was going to die. Legit, DO NOT BUY They gave me the worst Singapore noodles I ve ever ate! I also ordered lemon chicken, and spicy chicken, but I wasn t going to take my chances with those. The food also smelled rather strange, so I threw it out. I even gave a generous tip to the delivery person. It came up to about $52-53 sumn like that, and I just gave the man three twenty s. So essentially, I payed $60 just to throw up everything I ate that day, for the whole night till the morning. Eww, terrible first impression.

The food was amazing and tasteful. I tried the spicy chicken and Singapore noodle, & the sweet & sour soup. It was a wonderful combination I ever had from the past. The curry was the best. I wouldnt hesitated to recommend all my friend about this restaurant and I will be going back for more variety of food.

Honestly you need to try this spot, the food was delicious and those spring rolls are a whole meal on their own. The little lady behind the counter is the sweetest soul and I can see how that energy can transfer onto the food. I had a shrimp fried rice and it s very unique not something you come across often, the flavour is on point. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon! Also the cutest little garden awaits you the minute you open that front door, it s not fancy more like a hole in a wall to be quite honest but so worth it!

We went on a Thursday at 6pm to dine in, tnere was no customer inside. Ordered pad thai shrimp, spring roll, and french fries. Big servings, and taste good. I just dont like it when the bill came out to be higher that what was written on the menu. It was only when im about to pay that they only told me that the price increased and the menu they gave us is an old version. Its not fair!!

We were craving for Chinese or Thai food and just decided to go here. We initially intended to use UberEats for pickup, but we opted to calling them instead.. glad we did because we managed to save 15$ just on pickup only, NOT even delivery! Anyway, they re so kind, very easy to talk to over the phone and in person when partner picked it up. The owner/staff was such a nice lady. The food were one of the best we ever had, and the portions were big too. She did informed my partner to immediately open the dessert once back home to preserve the quality and gave us free mango salad to try. That s how passionate they were servicing their customers. We ordered a lot, good for the next day . Definitely worth recommending them to others. Worth the money. We ll come back for sure! Bring cash with you to get a discount instead of using credit card.

I placed my order online, and then I received a call from this lady who happened to be the owner (I believe), she was so sweet and nice! The customer service was above and beyond that it made the experience so much more memorable! The springs rolls are to DIE for! They are HUGE and not your typical small spring roll. I wish I took pictures before I ate the food to show the quality/quantity, but I was hungry, and I started eating immediately once the food was delivered - SO FRESH AND NOT BLAND - IT IS FULL OF FLAVOR! I was wanting to order Chinese food from a local restaurant. I went online and read the reviews for Qinthai and they were positive. I ordered a family meal for 5. The owner was extremely pleasant and the food was very good. It was fresh and very tasty. The portions were very good as well. We had leftovers, which is always good in our home. We will definitely order from them again.

I was craving Chinese from a place which had their own Delivery for a change, versus one who would conveniently appear through Uber or DoorDash. During the call the lady asked if there was two of us and said the 3 dishes would be more than enough. She also confirmed that she would throw in Mango Pudding and her Homemade Hot Sauce. 40 mins. later an abundance of well packaged delishiousness appeared. The Sesame Chicken was DUHVINE and meshed well with the Chow Mein and Chicken Fried Rice. Best Chinese I have consumed in Toronto.

She even asked what time ill be arriving so she can time the dishes so that they are fresh as possible and not get soggy. You can tell she cares about her customers as much as her food. One of the best restaurants in Toronto. Amazing cook is able to recreate dishes that I like from China perfectly from photos. I prefer paying more for customized food and this is the place to go when I am back from travels from China and want to continue to eat good Chinese food. Their regular standard menu is also good. Wonderful lady. Fresh food, fresh ingredients, great prices. When I stay at hotels and airbnb near, I always ensure to stop by here and get orders in. 5 out of 5 stars for sure.

The owner is great! Shes super nice and accommodating. The food is fantastic - fresh, super tasty, and good portions. Their Cantonese chow mein is top tier and their general tsos chicken is wonderfully flavoured and unique. I highly recommend this place!

Best Chinese restaurant in Toronto! First time trying the restaurant. I ordered mango chicken and Cantonese fried noodles. Both amazing dishes. Staff very friendly and courteous. I will definitely return.

Delicious! All the dishes were great, and everything was very fresh. Ordered directly from the restaurant online instead of Uber Eats and the chef called to give some suggestions and make sure everything was accurate. Friendly and helpful, plus the kids loved it. Highly recommend!

Very nice food and customer service so friendly.

Prices are marked up by several dollars on Uber Eats. Green curry is very watery and tastes significantly inferior to the rich, thick curry from other Thai restaurants. Not to mention, despite ordering chicken curry, the curry contained 40% chicken and 60% cheap tofu. Not worth the price, look elsewhere.

Horrible...I gave it try based on the positive reviews I read on here , the food didnt not match the score at all . I had to throw the chicken back in the oven, the sweet and sour chicken wasnt sweet nor sour and lacked sauce . The only thing they got right, was my steam rice . Mad disappoint

This review is over due, this is the best Chinese food we ve found in Toronto so far. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and Lin, the owner, is exceptionally caring and helpful. They will even package the sauce on the side for any fried dishes so things are still crispy and hot when it arrives. We will be ordering from them again this weekend. Thanks Lin

Absolutely amazing cuisine & the menu options are brilliant! The Pad Thai & Shanghai noodles were absolutely delicious. Our waitress made our experience delightful. Very courteous and hospitable. Def recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting Chinese or Thai cuisine or if you re just in the mood for a good meal. 10/10!

Best Chinese takeout we ve had yet in this area. Third time trying it and delicious! Fresh ingredients, not soaked in oil or msg. Flavours shine and veggies are good variety with great crunch. Highly recommend!

The best

After worst experience with Uber order from another restaurant we thought to give it a try here. Restaurant was clean and customer service is great. The lady was very patient and explained our questions and suggested some dishes from the menu. We have ordered for 4 people and she also added mango pudding as a complimentary dessert. We really liked how she cared for customers and for sure will visit again. Now let s get into the food. We have ordered Roasted chicken kababs, General Taos Chicken,Szechuan chicken, Egg fried rice, Thai pineapple fried rice. Everything tasted great. We really enjoyed the food. Forgot to take photos this time. Will post it next time. I would recommend this place.

Delicious Chinese food! The best tasting Chinese I ve had in a long time. We ve kept coming back ever since we tried it. She gives you homemade hot sauce which is soooo good. Our usual order is the shrimp fried rice, beef & broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and we also tried the spicy salty pepper squid appetizer! Definitely a must try!

Still the absolute best Chinese food Ive had any where in the city!! Fresh vegetables, high quality ingredients, and food cooked to perfection. I love this place and so happy they made it through the pandemic!! Sooooo good!! Had the veggie fried rice, crispy ginger beef and eggplant tofu stir fry.

Hidden gem! We usually order the fried fish, tofu and eggplant, then switch up the last item! It s always been great. Everything is fresh and good quality. Great Cantonese style dishes. Also need to add that they are incredibly nice! Our go to for Chinese

My boyfriend and I were in need of a new take out place and decided to give this a try based on its reviews and it did not disappoint. Firstly the lady st the front is amazing, she is so kind and friendly just overall a great person. The food was just as good. We got the beef fried rice, spicy shrimp and sweet and sour chicken balls. Everything was cooked to perfection. Already went back two more times and plan on many more. Definitely a must try.

This is probably one of the best Chinese food restaurants I have ever been to. The food is absolutely delicious; Just some of our favorites are the Hot and Sour soup, the beef & mushroom with black pepper sauce, Basil chicken, Mango salad, great Cantonese chow mein and I could literally go on and on. Every single dish we have tried we have LOVED. The owner is the most kind and hospitable person, she is always happy to help and ensure that your experience is top notch. It is obvious she really cares about her customers and the quality of food she serves. The home made hot sauce is beyond amazing, her husband makes this himself and it is incredible. The mango pudding dessert is another in house specialty they make and it is so tasty, it tastes a little like mango lassi and it is DELICIOUS! The establishment is nice and cozy with big tables that offer a lot of room. We used to dine in but havent in a while however I highly recommend. They also have free parking on the side as well and the hrs seem great too... when many other places are closed for holidays you will often see their open sign. We will continue to come to this place over and over for the amazing food and impeccable service and it has become a staple to us over the years.
