Spring China House provides dine-in, take-out, express delivery and catering series. We look forward to serving you.
This was my third time ordering from Spring China House. All three times the food arrived hot, fresh, and delicious! Very polite man took my order and the delivery driver was friendly and helped me with transporting the food to the kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We ordered from Spring China on Sunday via UberEats and we were not disappointed. I personally don’t like eating leftovers but I have enjoyed our food from here so much that I had leftovers for 2 days! We ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls, General Tao Chicken, Honey Garlic Ribs, Ginger Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice. All outstanding. Usually, chicken balls have more breading than chicken but these were not - they had big chunks of chicken and tasty batter. The he General Tao and Ribs were well flavoured but the standout dishes were the Ginger Beef and Shrimp Fried Rice. The GB had so much fresh ginger flavour and the rice was loaded with shrimp, very generous and delicious. I hope it’s always like this as we will surely order from here again! Our order was packed well and we appreciate the reusable bag that it came in. Thank you!
Did take out, for shrimp fried rice, egg rolls and wonton soup. Rice and egg rolls were good. Wouldn’t recommend the soup. Will try other items in the future.
Ordered delivery for the first time today...and it arrived hot, flavourful, on time and delicious. The gentleman who took my order was courteous and helpful and the person who delivered my order was pleasant. I will order from them again with great pleasure. Thank you!
Long time customer, I always order pick-up as I live in the neighbourhood. Tonight I felt like a second class citizen as Skip the Dishes and Uber appeared to get priority over my order. I understand it was a busy evening, however, I was told by email that my order was going to be ready in 20 minutes and it turned out to be twice as long. The sweet and sour chicken and ginger beef were dry and tough with very little sauce, eggplant was good. I had also asked for plum sauce only, I was given hot sauce and soy sauce and no plum sauce.
Unfortunately, this is some of the worst Chinese food I’ve had. I was excited to eat here based on some of the decent reviews however, the food was not good at all and very expensive. We ordered two of the combo plates which ended up being $65. My order included the sweet-and-sour pork which was very fatty and chewy. Some of the sauce was just poured over the top instead of being mixed together. The eggrolls didn’t have much flavor and we’re very greasy not to mention the entire order was very expensive when we look at the amount of food that we got. The fried rice was OK and the lemon chicken wasn’t too bad. I wish this was a better experience otherwise we would have ordered from here again.
Personally, as of now I’ve never gone inside , but the delivery service is the best I’ve had for any restaurant. Easy to order, fast and the plating is great. Have ordered a few times and definitely worth if you live within the delivery area.
The restaurant still has tables that block half the tables from dining in. When we came to eat here there were 2 tables only that could allow for you to dine in. I ordered my meal as this was my first time here and I was just trying to understand the menu and options and the man taking the order was rushing me which I couldn’t understand because there wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant. When I got my meal I asked if I could dine in and the man looked at me like I was crazy but obviously allowed me to dine in. As I was eating an observed a female come to get her meal she ordered and the same man taking orders was soooo rude to her and all she said she was there to pickup a order and he was like there no order here for you what order who took your order and everytime she tried to talk he would cut her off finally she was able to get her words out and say she ordered online and when she asked if cutlery was in the bag he again was rude and said how is he suppose to know if she needs cutlery he don’t just give cutlery out. Okay the. A elderly gentleman came in seen me sitting there and began talking to me it was his first time there as well and he was asking me what it was having ect. The man taking the orders started to rush the elderly man for his order and then when the elderly man sat at the only other table available the man taking the order appeared to be irritated with us dining in. Just the experience alone has put a awful taste in my mouth as customer service is very important not just the quality of food. Now the food I do find that they are a little over priced especially for a combo for one if you want fried rice it’s extra compared to other Chinese food in the area it’s pretty expensive. The chicken balls and chilli chicken were hot however didn’t have much taste to them. Not very impressed
Long wait and old guy who respond me was rude.
I think the rice was very sticky and didn t like the flavour overall. I asked for veggie fried rice and didn t have many veggies either.
had no meat in my meal, tasted bad, bad customer service dont recommend
Super yummy and great customer service! I ordered the veggie fried rice and yu Xiang eggplant (no pork) and it was delicious. Second time ordering and it did not disappoint.
Food was very fresh and the service was amazing!!
Super fast service, Classic Chinatown gem. Excellent Chinese comfort food. I d give them 5 stars.
A great restaurant at a wonderful location. Food was great and service was excellent. I ll definitely be back.
Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 5 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 5 Stars
Food was super I recently got to know about this place , must try !
Consistently good food and service. Highly recommend Spring China House!
I ordered lemon chicken and it was tasteless. The chicken was absolutely bland and they gave the lemon sauce separate so I thought once I poured the sauce on the chicken it would taste better but it didnt do anything to improve the taste. I will never order the lemon chicken from this place again.
One of best Chinese food restaurant in Eglinton. I have bought couple times of their Cantonese food. Always fresh made and delicious.
We ordered delivery last Sunday my father I law was so excited for Chinese food. Food came was very meh. Bland and unseasoned with so many chinese restaurants to choose from stay away from this place.
Usually order on uberats and the food has always been good. Recently, was in the area of the restaurant so decided to do take-out and the man at the counter was very kind! One of my go-tos when Im wanting Chinese food
Inexpensive Chinese restaurant. Good food, service and prices. Dietary restrictions: Looks out for your dietary needs Food : 5/5 |
overall very good and i will order from here again very strange to see one star alternating with five star reviews. its unfair to immediately come to a business google page to express negative feelings when its a local business that is doing its job and well. ordered for the first time today. the food was well packaged, secure, good portions and good selection. I took off one star because the sweet and sour chicken needed a bit more flavour but will try again next time or another dish and update accordingly. they give you a card to order from them directly with a discount code and fortune cookies on request :) been looking for a quick chinese spot when the craving hits and this is it! in this economy when a local business is actually doing its job and offers many times (on uber, on the card, in their business replies) to make it right with you if needed, why not take them up on it instead of leaving one star as a disgruntled driver
The manager call me after I called to know if they us mSG because it s not stated in there website. The food made me sick as I inform the lady whom answered the phone and advised I didn t want a store credit or moneys return, just wanted to confirm because I felt sick. Had no intentions to leavea review. Anyway the manager called so rudely and ended the call on me. So I returned his call to let him know I would be reporting on site a bad review. First time ordering from this place and my last. It s my fault I shouldn t have tried this place. Just saying very rude and unprofessional people! Thanks for nothing!!
Found a bunch of small bugs in my chow mein.
To be honest with you, Ive tasted mall Chinese food better than this place. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, and it was terrible. There was little bit of drops of red sauce on chicken and the way they cooked chicken wasnt great at all. The egg roll didnt taste fresh like they just microwaved it. The rice was okay, but thats only reason Ive rated them a 2 than a 1...SMH
This place have delicious food but to get the order for delivery horrible the door dash driver was very nice and apologized I will give 1 star to the restaurant but to the driver 10 stars People work on customer service Food
Food was very good & tasty . Impeccable service as well . Definitely will go back again at the Eglinton location

Order from Uber Eats, the food is delicious
Little manners pls
After delaying the food by 45 min then 20 min then 30 min then saying another hour we cancelled the food. I get bring busy but empty promises and lies dont feed hungry kids.
The lowest rating possible for the place that took 2 hours to deliver lemon chicken, which got left outside a d stolen. Good job.
ts so bad!
We got sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken fried rice, vegetable chop suey, and spring rolls. Expensive for what it was. We got the chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken balls since they seem liked by other reviewers but we were quite disappointed. The chicken balls were oily and soggy though the ratio of dough to chicken was fine. The sweet and sour sauce consistency was good but not very flavourful. The chicken fried rice was very mediocre. The vegetable chop suey was basically bean sprouts with a few small pieces of broccoli on top and way too watery. Spring rolls were oily and soggy. It was delivery but they didnt even include napkins or cutlery.
My favorite in the City!!!
First time ordering from Spring China House. The food was delivered on time and hot. Cooked perfectly and very tasty. Would order again.
Great delivery service! Very quick, and accepting payment by debit card which for me is so convenient and indispensable.
Great and freindly and delicious food.
lemon chicken is amazing. order direct!
Wheelchair accessibility:
The food taste great, definitely will order again
Have been here for one time
Fave Chinese food in the city
The food has greatly improved from a couple years ago. Much fresher now, big difference in quality. The chicken is juicy white meat. I order from Uber eats and the two for one deals are really good. Keep it up guys!
Don t waste your money all the food is disgusting I don t know how they got sick a high rating
First time ordering take away from this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised how good the dishes were. Vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The chicken, duck and pork were delicious. Items were packed well and the woman was pleasant and kind. We shall return!
we were told the food would be delivered in 35/40 mins .. it was 1 hour and 10 minutes.. they couldnt care when i called to ask where it was .. and it was stone cold.. never again .. wasnt worth $77 bucks
The owners are very rude and they treat people like garbage over phone.
Fantastic food, never had a bad experience. would 100% recommend
Ordered on Dec 31, 2021 (order #B577E). The chop suey container was not closed properly and leaked through the entire bag. All of the food that wasnt stored in plastic containers (chicken balls, chicken wings, egg rolls) was completely ruined. The order did not come with sweet and sour sauce. We called to complain twice and they did not offer to replace the damaged food. The second time they hung up on us and didnt bother calling us back. Terrible customer service.
We are vegetarian and ordered a variety of vegetable and tofu dishes. We were BLOWN AWAY by the flavours. Our favourites were Szechuan Tofu, Curry Vegetables, and Vegetable Lo-Mein. Even the type of vegetables used were fresh and varied. HIGHLY recommend.
The house fried rice is sooo goood here
The chicken was so chewy that I had to throw out a lot of it
Just order from this places and I m shocked I haven t found this place sooner everything I ordered was amazing
Nothing special with this restaurant. There was no dine in during my visit.
Food came hot and tasty. Thats all you can ask for. Real good Hot and Sour soup
Bad attention, i didnt have the oportunity of even eat whatever, the old man need to speak more english, bisedes he is disrespectful
Trash. Expensive and tasteless. The rice was undercooked and hard. I went in and asked him why. He said he didn t know. No need to tell him. He gave me a new one and then sent me away. Trash among the trash. Bad attitude.
I have ordered from here and have had good experiences but after tonights experience I will never be back. I placed an order and was told 45 minutes, the order took just slightly shy of 2 hours, I called at some point and asked and was told it was already on the way, meanwhile it took another 40 minutes after that. (Im 10 minutes from restaurant). At the very least dont tell me its going to be 45 minutes when jts 2 hours. By the time the food got to me every was cold, and the main dish of lemon chicken had no lemon, no lemon sauce, nothing. I has cold, dry no longer crispy breaded chicken. AND THANKFULLY I saw the metal bristle in my rice before I ate it and chocked on it. And at the time the driver arrived, I handed him 40$, due to the terrible service I did not feel it was worthy of a tip, and yet instead of giving me the change he took the cash, stared at it and walked away. Extremely disappointed clearly gone downhill in the last month.
Had a great delivered meal. Well prepared and presented.
We ordered from Spring China House first time yesterday. It was highly recommended by a friend and I am glad she did. The order was delivered within agreed time and food was piping hot. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food compared to most other Chinese food restaurants. Loved that it was not overly salty (leaving it open for people to adjust by adding soya sauce if need be) nor oily. The food was well prepared and fresh. I had questions about certain dishes and the kind woman I spoke with was very helpful and recommended dishes as well. Cant wait to have leftovers for lunch. Definitely recommend this restaurant and will order again soon.
Ordered from here last night and I m happy with my order. It s a bit more expensive compared to other Chinese places but the food was good and portions were good as well. I got shrimp, 2 orders of fried rice and chicken wings which didn t have much meat on them and were small but tasted good. I overall would recommend.
The food was really well seasoned and it did taste good. we ordered a large family meal and had two different types of breaded meats in it But almost 2/3 of all of all of it was uneatable! It was filled with breaded: cartilage, bones bits and things that were hard and overly chewy. There was barely any full pieces of actual meat & left us feeling cheated. If I were to come back I d stick with the beef and veggies, rice and noodles or anything that you can clearly see what the meat is to get our moneys worth.
I can t believe this restaurant is rated so high- it is probably the worse Chinese food I ve had in Toronto. Anything breaded - chicken balls, crackers, fortune cookies- was stale. They really cheap out on meat on any mixed dishes (chicken fried rice for example). Their lemon chicken sauce was tasteless. Their egg rolls were very oily. Their chow mein had way too much sauce - and yet was tasteless other than the taste of onions. Honestly amazed at how I did not like one food item from here.
Order family dinner for 2 share with girl friend. It could feed for 3 people. The leftovers are enough for me for lunch tomorrow. Food is delicious, especially chicken balls and chicken fried rice.
Beware! Found a huge cocroach in my hot and sour soup!
I m sure the food is good, but wouldn t know, because after two hours of ordering our food, they cancelled our order. That s not good enough. Make an attempt to reach out and apologize and do something to show you care that we re trying to support a local restaurant.
If I could give less than one star I would. I placed an order 3 hours prior to when I wanted it ready tonight so that they would have plenty of time. After an hour of them preparing the food, it was cancelled. I understand that it is Christmas Eve and is a busy time, which is why I placed my order ahead of time. The delivery people were waiting at this restaurant for almost an hour before it was cancelled. This is ridiculous and terrible service.
Very efficient and had proper COVID measures for pick up! The man who greeted me was very friendly and knew my order as soon as I walked in. Going to order again soon!
I ordered my dinner at 2 pm for 6:15 pick up. My dinner wasn t ready until 7. I was then informed that one of my dishes was sold out and they had chosen a replacement. Could anybody have called me in the 5 hours since I ordered so I could choose the replacement? Dinner was a disaster
Picked up food very safely. Dishes were excellent. Eggplant in black bean sauce was a winner. Huge portions. Very good value too. Recommended.
Probably the best in the Bathurst Eg area. The bar isn t too high but when you have the craving they ll do.
Food was good , big portions for a lunch special, got the general Tao, quite tasty recommend it, guy at the front taking orders was a bit rude but overall will go back,
Dinner for 6 was a great deal. General Tao chicken was very, very good.
Great food. Fast and friendly service.
Always fresh, hot and delicious. Quick delivery and courteous driver. A wonderful treat.
Unlike many other Chinese restaurants Ive ordered from in midtown Toronto, this has been a great experience. The food was reasonably-priced, well-portioned, and arrived just 5 minutes after the estimated delivery time. Taste was great. Also, the driver was very courteous. I will be ordering from them again!
Really nice. Great value! I ordered online. Easy to order. The food was delivered quickly and hot! Very tasty and very fresh! Packed safe and nice, with fortune cookies. Would order again.
Excellent flavor and good price, good service, we will continue trying the dishes to recommend one or more.
Gave it a try to support local. The service and food is just not good. Substandard taste and preparation. During covid people work hard for their money and expect some value. The meat and vegetables used were the cheapest and lowest quality imaginable. There was virtually no effort in trying to make a tasty meal. Sorry, I can not recommend. A total lack of respect for diners.
Much improved quality and taste since early last year.
This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. Good prices, excellent tasting food, large portions, and friendly delivery service.
My new go-to Chinese take-out place! Its hard to find a good spot for Chinese take-out in the area. Spring China House has filled that hole. Their food was very tasty and affordable. The General Taos chicken did not disappoint. Found them through Skip the Dishes app and only after I ordered did I find out they have do their own deliveries as well. I will be a returning customer and next time I will be ordering from the restaurant directly.
Delivery is quick and food is hot! Generous portions, great value. Many delicious options!
I have to say that something has changed here, this is a neighbourhood spot and I have ordered from here a long time ago and the food was just mehh. Last night I ordered take-out and immedialy after tasting i could tell that the food has improved so much. I had the special fried rice , it was a generous portion filled with lots of white chicken breast and perfectly cooked large shrimp and pork. The chicken balls were probably some of the best ive had , this is my sons fave and the ratio of chicken to batter was perfection , it really was a chicken ball not like some places where its a cube of cicken wrapped in so much batter. I also got an order of crispy fried won tons which were good. What ever they have done (new cook or management, quality of ingredients) they need to stay on this path. I think i have found my new chinese food go to spot and I am looking forward to placing my next order and trying some other dishes on the menu.
Best Chinese food
Well, food was okay 5/10. I ordered beef and broccoli. They stuff my order with full of broccoli. It is my first time here so i asked receptionist guy, do you serve beef , broccoli with rice and he replied check the menu and tell me . Dude come on, you work here you suppose to guide me. So i can order fast. I asked bez i parked my car in no stopping and dont wanna waste too much time. Anyways whole time he was talking so rude. Well this is my last time . I wont come here anymore. Message for owner please train your crew to give good cx service . If you guys are busy I understand he dont have much time to server nicely but i was there alone. Come on . Anyways no repeat for me!
Order from this location many times. Today didn t work out very well. Deep friend chicken wings weren t crispy, chow main noodles were soggy, veggies were crunchy. no sweet and sour sauce (red sauce) with the chicken balls. Called location to see if driver had the sauce in his vehicle (left behind). They didn t pack the sauce, waited an hour and fifteen mins for the sauce to arrive. Ate plain chicken was bland. Going to try somewhere else as they ve also increased their pricing recently.
We ordered Cantonese lo mein, bbq pork and general taos chicken. We are very disgusted with the lo mein as the bokchoy has dead lady bug on it. We ended up throwing the dish and wasting our money.
Great food, quality ingredients, fast polite service and reasonably priced.
Delicious food best spring rolls in town and the hot and sour soup was delicious and spicy. Like the new renovations the owner very nice and customer service is amazing.
Amazing chicken balls. General Tao is off the hook
Skip the Thai dishes. Huge Fail. Ginger Beef was very chewy meat but not crispy or tasty. The Veggie Chop Suey was the best dish by far even though the crunchy noodles were stale. They were 30 minutes early. Way over priced for the low quality of food. I swear the broccoli in the pad thai came from another dish. It tasted different. Once was enough for me.
good
We order delivery regularly and the whole experi is five star. Theyre super friendly on the phone, make food recommendations and make sure you know about your freebie choices (free pop or wings depending on how much you spend.) The food is always hot and delicious when it arrives. Our faves are the beef and broccoli, Shanghai noodles, pork fried rice and I was very impressed with the coconut shrimp we just tried! Cant seem to go wrong!
Good place for takeout, nice portions and good flavor
This place is our new go-to for Chinese food. Fast delivery and the food is good. Well be ordering again soon. Thanks for the excellent service.
Dishes are bountiful, the price is comfortable, the quality is ok.
Our favourite Chinese take-out. Physical location is small, but cute (i.e. doesnt come across as too take out of a place). Staff is incredibly friendly, website works OK (it has gotten a lot better over the last year or so). Delivery in the neighbourhood is often a lot faster than promised on the website. The chicken wings are recommended!
Our favourite of Chinese food delivery in Toronto!
Super fast delivery, really happy with portions and quality.
I just ordered for the first time today and it was exactly what I was craving. I could eat a vat of the fried rice. The food was a little cold because the person from the delivery app was on a bike. I have missed my old regular place since I moved and this will definitely be my new favourite!
Treated my friend horribly. I will now not go because I know they have this poor level of service.
I originally had a terrible experience with their staff over a delivery error. Hands down, without a doubt, the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. However, the following day, the owner took time to attempt to rectify the situation. Although the damage was already done, I have to commend the owner for really trying to fix what had already occurred. We have ordered from this restaurant a couple times and the food has been great both times. I have soured towards this place due to my experience, but the efforts that the owner has gone to to attempt to fix the situation has made me reconsider my previous review.
Delicious, reasonably priced Chinese food! Good portion sizes. Took many precautions with contactless delivery, even giving me gloves. Called to make sure I understood my order AND I GOT A FREE SELFIE STICK!!! How cool?? I would definitely order from here again.
Decent food.... but the guy only gave me one soy sauce for two containers of rice .
Best in area
Probably the best Chinese restaurant in our area. Food is very good and tastes authentic. The only reason for the four star rating and not five is the prices in my personal opinion are a little on the expensive side, but still a good place to order from.
The guy serving us was so mean...
Bad food and services. I order food for pick up. They told me it will ready in 30mins. I arrived 30 mins later and they make me wait for another 45 mins for my food. I couldnt cancel my order since I paid them already and they didnt allow me to do refund. The food was bad. My spring roll was frozen inside. Definitely avoid this place if you dont want this happen to you too
This place has some of the best chinese food Ive ever had. Their vegetables and tofu section has lots of options, which I much appreciate. Generous portions and reasonable prices. I will definitely be ordering again!
Food is good but if you ask for something special they dont always do it Eg I ask for no onions, I still get onions
Ordered two of their dinners for one for delivery. Food came quickly and was delicious.
Always good food and consistent taste. Perfect combo meals too. Thank you for the teriyaki sauce tonight! <3
There were four others waiting for their orders. The staff were as prompt as possible. It was a busy night of phone ordering.
Lovely service and food from a great business. The serving sizes are great for their price, with incredible taste to boot. Highly recommended.
My neighborhood chinese spot of choice. Just the best. One bad thing is they open late :-( but great food.
The most decent tasting in the area. Nothing special.
Thank you for your reply! Definitely will be ordering again !
Great service, food started to arrive quickly after ordering. Food was excellent the ba bao duck was especially crispy with an amazing sauce on the side that was a hoisen mixture that was sweet yet sour.
Good little neighborhood restaurant. Serves both Chinese and Thai dishes.
Pad Thai is inedible. Just red colored noodles and slimiest chicken Ive ever tried. Shame I had to throw it away.
Good Food and the prices affordable
Best Chinese food restaurant in the neighborhood. Delivery is always super fast. I have been ordering from here for over 5 years and keep coming back. The food is always consistently good but I especially love the Szechuan Tofu!
Below average Chinese food. Ginger Beef was soft and chewy, rice turned rock hard in the fridge after a day. Will not go back.
Really great waiter, but the food is middle of the road, & the portions are small.
Delicious food
Chicken Fried Rice and Lemon Chicken were amazing. Food was made to perfection was still fresh and hot when brought home. Would visit again!
I went there to get lunch for 5 guys and none of us liked the food. We all found it very flavorless and it was $70 they also forgot to give us our drinks
Delicious food ; the delivery was quick without delay.
The Eggplant with black bean sauce is my favourite (vegetarian) dish! Nice staff and fast service.
I have been ordering from Spring China House for a few years now. I like the customer service particularly when I deal with (I think his name his Bill)the fellow at lunch time during the week. He is very patient and efficient. The owner Ken is also very nice and takes great care with the food serving generous and tasty portions. Like the spring rolls and crispy chicken as well as the beef and vegetable dishes. Another favourite is the chicken chow mein.
So so food, came cold!
Delivery is so rude and act very unprofessional with us. He got mad and hit the door. Extremely rude
The food is always fresh and hot. Customer service is excellent always. We have eaten in many times and gotten delivery many times. Order is always correct and hot. General tsao chicken is on point! So happy this is my neighbourhood Chinese place!
Good prices
I order take out all the time. I love this place! Everything tastes fresh made, love it! Best Chinese Ive had( Ive had a lot).
This restaurant is a mainstay for me. The restaurant itself is sparsely used, the majority of its business being either take out or delivery. House specialty is Ginger Beef. Service is friendly but phone-ins seem to be of a slightly higher priority than sit-ins. Daily specials also offered.
Tasty food.!
They have always been kind and understanding with us and dietary restrictions. Weve been ordering from them for several years now and have never had a bad meal. As long as they are open I will be a customer of theirs. Absolutely wonderful people and food.
Ordered online and my food arrived quite quickly. The driver was very polite and the food was exactly what I had in mind. I would definitely order again from here in the future. I only tried chicken balls, egg rolls and chicken low mein but it was all good and hot when it arrived to the door. The price is reasonable and the delivery charge was not excessive.
Nice atmosphere, good food :)
We decided to order here on a stat Monday for lunch once we found out our standby Duckee was closed. Read the reviews first and was very hesitant to order, so we checked DineSafe (for whats that worth), saw that theyve been green for the last two year and held out for the best! We were very pleasantly surprised given the low reviews on Google. Customer service was on point. Delivery was fast and pleasant (first time I had a food order delivered in a Mercedes!), and the food looked good. Portion sizes were generous. I got a combo plate and my husband got an order of General Taos chicken and chicken fried rice. I careful looked through the food for foreign objects before I ate it and it came up fine. My husband (who is very critical of General Tao chicken) said it was a solid contender against Duckees and much better than The Chinese Food Gallerys General Tao. My combo plate was enough for two people. Quality was good, points taken off for the egg roll which was not crispy and the crispy noodles on my chow mein were stale. Other than that, I would order again. Looks like things have improved greatly since some of the poorer reviews. Solid 4/5 rating.
Fast service for take out. Best quick Chinese food in this area of Eglinton.
it was nice,,,, but curry chicken sauce wasnt thick,,,, to watery ,,,,,, little cold when arrive specially the wontons ,,,, and rice ,,,,,,eatable but ,could be better.
After arriving at least 15 minutes late, the driver withheld my food because I did not leave a tip on the receipt. I can not tip before knowing what kind of service I am getting. And a good thing too! I had to demand my food twice and then showed him the $4 in my hand I had ready to give him. He reached for the tip. I shut my hand and took my already-paid-for food. He then called me a f--king b--ch. I WILL NEVER order from here again! On top of that, the food was tasteless, their Cantonese Chow Mein is made by putting 2 Ramen bricks of noodles in a container, covered with veg and meat, which you have to break up and remove the lumps that havent softened, and their food is a pricey to boot. Wherever I can, I will add a review for this place. I will let all of Toronto know NOT to spend one penny at this place.
Great place to grab some inexpensive chinese food. Great service.
Ordered food for 10 people and every dish was delicious! Food came on time and was fresh and hot. The service was super friendly and competent. I put my order in online, and was called to confirm the order and pick up time was all correct and was offered a discount for paying in cash. I would definitely return and recommend.
Good lunch at a reasonable price and a friendly owner. I go regularly.
The guy that works at the eglinton and bathurst street location can be rude. The food is not bad, but I think I will look else where to buy my chinese food.
We ordered delivery of a dinner for 3 and were amazed at how fast the food arrived. The servings were plentiful, the food exactly as we expected it to be, and the driver courteous. Id recommend this to anyone in the area who wants a fairly standard Chinese take-out option. The only thing I didnt like is how there was a tip automatically applied with the order. Although I could change it, I wasnt sure if this went to the restaurant staff, the driver, or was somehow split between them. We ended up applying a 10% tip, hoping it went to the cooks and dishwasher and the staff who prepared the meal, and also had a $5 bill for the driver. It would be nice to have more granularity and information in how this is applied and split, but thats more the fault of the third-party ordering site Spring China House has chosen rather than a criticism of the staff itself. That was the only thing keeping this from being a five-star experience.
Had it delivered to my house. Everything was fresh & full of flavour. We are definitely going to order from here again.
Really amazing! Weve had the Szechuan Chicken, General Tsos Chicken, Mushroom fried rice, Mixed Vegetables, fried chicken wings and Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls. Everything has been hot and fresh. The Szechuan Chicken and General Tsos are just spicy enough and have a modest complexity that is missing from most other takeout places. Normally, I dont care for Chicken Balls, I just buy them for my kid; however, these here are amazing! The breading is almost bread-like, but light. Overall, Spring China House is really fresh and high quality.
Very nice
CRAPPY FOOD!! SPRING CHINA HOUSE-FEH!! BLEECHH!!! CRRRAAPPP!!! AVOID!!!!
Bad service. Had gone there twice and both of them were not good. It was 9:30 when I first went there to order some food and take it home. When I entered the shopkeeper shooed me and my mom off by saying that the restaurant had closed down.He was very rude to me and my mom. Then in my second appearance he gave us the menu card and came after 19 minutes to get our order placed . The food was okay but not the best.
I ordered a large order for 4 people. The food was delivered fast and it was hot and delicious! The Kung Pao Chicken was just spicy enough, the Vegetarian PAd thai was made with fresh noodles and it was a great assortment of veggies. Also ordered the Beef with broccoli, House special fried rice, egg rolls and mango salad. It was all delicious! Definitely will order from them again/
