Not impressed

Very cute family owned restaurant. Dont have a lot of places left like this anymore. Food was great highly recommend the fish. Very crispy and seasoned well.

We ordered chicken to go with fries, rice and potatoes. All good very fresh. They had two natas left and let me tell you those were amazing but dessert wise the Malasada was a winner. The chef was out there serving and he was so nice with my girls and gave us the malasada as a treat to try it! Very thankful he did as it was DELICIOUS and we will be back for sure! This is now my favorite place. Food is fantastic, awesome customer service, and the place is very cozy. Highly recommended.

Crew needs more attitude when someone shows at 4 pm, and also in some specific days. I understand their body language for a new client but this doesn t mean I have to buy takeout.

Took so long to be served I guess because I am not Portugese. I was flat out ignored but my daughter wanted to try the sandwich with egg on it or I would have left. Spent $70 and wont go back.

Just came from picking up my Christmas dinner! Service is amazing. No fuss no muss! Accidentally the food is also amazing. Cant recommend enough. If you happen to be around do stop by. There are always delicious Portuguese staple food ready to pick up. Or you can just call ahead and then pick it up. Take a look at the Instagram account but do so after having a meal... Trust me on this

Stopped in for lunch and it did not disappoint had chicken with delicious sides (great selection of sides). Chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy and the seasoning was so yummy. Highly recommend best Portuguese I ve had (also everything was super fresh), thanks again for a great lunch

Excellent place for a quick but very good Portuguese dish, portions are big and prices are very reasonable. Check out their traditional Portuguese decoration with ceramic lamps.

Picked up and ate 15-20 minutes after. Chicken and sausage were under cooked. Fish and vegetables were cold. Very disappointing.

Happened a few days ago. Placed my order, was told that itd take a bit as the chicken was being cooked. Noticed the chicken was finished after 30 mins and the person at the cash ask what sides I wanted and filled a container with what I asked for. Next thing you know I see 4 other customers walk in they place their orders, they take the remaining chicken that was just cooked and one of them walks away with the container I had my sides ordered with. After getting up a few times and looking around to see the status and looking at the guy at the cash, I just left. With nothing.

This is a great place to eat out or take out. My sister asked me to pick up food for an event. I didnt even know this place was located so close to my home. Its a bit tough to notice and easy to miss but well worth the effort to find! The customer service is exceptional and friendly. They even lent me a warmer type cooler to keep our trays of food nice a warm. When it came time to dig in, we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and tasted great. I think I found my new BBQ Chicken place! Thank you for the kind service and I will be back.

I went to 180 Bentworth Av and that place is not the same place on google pictures. Customer service is excellent but the food is not that good.

Stopped in today for the first time and even though I was after the lunch hour rush they still had a full selection of appetizing options at excellent price points. Food was tasty and the custard tarts were the best I ve had. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I ordered two francesinhas via Uber Eats, only one was sent to me, after calling the restaurant and they had proven that it had been their mistake I was not presented with a solution since they had already turned off the grill

The food is typical Portuguese and not bad.. but this place is seriously overpriced. I ve been here 3x now and won t be returning. $19 for a chorizo dinner? Prices need to be lowered in comparison to competitor s imo

A bit crowded but for a good reason, large choice or Portuguese dishes and everything we ordered was delicious. Portuguese churrasco chicken was also one of the best tasting ones I have had in Toronto

Its my first time here but it wont be the last time! I had trouble choosing between all the delicious dishes and the chef got me samples to try. Everything was amazing and I ended up ordering extra to take home.

Food needs salt. Food cold when asked to warm up placed in microwave with salad Then asked to replace salad and they did not understand why? Rice old not fresh. So disappointed was really expecting something better considering the outside look of the establishment. Really pretty. Please work on your service and food quality.

I picked up food from there so I cant really comment on the service/atmosphere, but the food was really good.

Unfortunately I had a VERY bad experience. I order the salmon which was ok, then for dessert I was craving arroz doce. When i got it I could see it was very dark on top for some reason, once I open the cover it was COVERED in mold!! Completely disgusting Very disappointing honestly

They have moved north new location. You can now see the kitchen. Its open style restaurant is small, but the food is still great. Located right on corner parking is a little tight. All and all still great place, and the food is good. Keep up the good work Food

Very clean. Other Portuguese places look so sloppy and dirty. This place is extremely clean. Their fish fillet are huge and bread. Not greasy. Rice, potatoes and grilled veggies where all great. Everything tasted fresh. Only thing I would complain which is me nick picking is the sauce for the chicken. I just got the regular sauce and it lacked in flavor. Hot sauce However was amazing. Felt they made it from scratch.

I bought the food for my wife from here a few times its the best Portuguese restaurant Ive seen or been to in Toronto and Ive been to quite a few. Excellent food, portions and service.

Ordered take out 2 times. 1st time got we were sick I thought maybe it was 1 odd time. 2nd time ordered takeout we all were sick again. No way of knowing if we received fresh food or sitting there all day. Be cautious they are not monitoring how long food sitting there in display.

I went there on Wednesday and ordered rice, chicken, fish and potatoes. When I got home and opened up the packages the rice was hard and spoiled. It smelled so rotten. The half chicken was all bones. The fish fillets were burnt and oily. The only decent thing was the potatoes. What a waste of money. I will never return there. Disgusting.

First and last visit. Lots of better and respectful establishments out there. Try nearby Churrasqueira Estrela (humble owners), O Patio Churrasqueira, Piri Piri or Churrasco Portugril. Snooty, un-family and unwelcoming staff energy from the get go. Manager had a sudden big dilemma and reluctance on whether she would grant a request to eat in the patio or not, and gave off the energy that when she did, it was a difficult life decision for her and a big favour for us. There were people there already, lots of space, not dinner rush hour, and yes it was summer. Young waitress also unnaturally kept checking back on us too much and at one point asked how the starters were, to which I said theyre good (they are to be fair). But then she responds with a straight face that she didnt believe me and I was lying. Choked on the chunky chourico I almost did. Overall a rather shockingly disrespectful and very unwelcome experience at this place. Couldnt leave it fast enough.

Everything we ordered was good especially the Passionfruit mousse, which is very light and refreshing. There is a nice patio at the back and plenty of seating inside.

1st time there and kind of disappointed. Definitely won t be back. Space is nice and spacious. Unfortunately, the food was just meh. Went with a group. What left a sour note was our table ordered chicken fingers and fries for the littles, both plates the chicken was raw. Brought it to the attention of the staff and instead of serving us a new plate they had just refried the chicken. Took a bite, tasted like burnt oil. Rest of plate was left untouched. No one really apologized. I could tell our waitress was slightly embarrassed when I asked, if they had just refried the chicken instead of serving us a new plate, so much so for the rest of the lunch she was less attentive. Pretty sure, if this happened anywhere else, management would have come to talk to us and or something complimentary would have been offered.

Great authentic Portuguese food, the rabbit is delicious, highly recommended. Theyve got a nice patio too for summer time dinning.

Service is good from the girls. The male server there doesnt like to be told you want the bill. Even with 2 tables they still cant comprehend how to serve. Mainly the place is a hot table so people come for takeout. The takeout is fantastic along with the food here. But sitting for dinner is a bit of a challenge if youre in a rush!

Just ordered take out from this dump i live in the area for 30 yrs and this is the worst portugese food in the area under cooked rice 1/4 inch thick raw chip fries with the beef a casa rancid hot sauce the only thing that was half good was the chicken but o patio is ten times better . Wish they would bring back W burger bar back

I went several times to this restaurant. You can range the food from okay to very good depending on the person cooking/serving you (I was once served a raw grill sea bream fish!). I had a bitter experience recently regarding the service which I found rude and not professional (a mature lady with black hair). I will refrain from going there as it s a kind of lottery when you go there. On a lucky day, you will enjoy your experience. However, on a bad day you will feel like your money has just been wasted.

Nice place . This place is a little hard to notice when youre just driving around you might not think to go in there, however if you do you wont be disappointed they have a nice hot tray serving many items. This is a Portuguese restaurant serving some fine Portuguese dishes. * This place will be shutting down for approximately 3 months near the end of July. On the note on the front door it says closed for vacation. Some of the staff informed me that they are also planning on doing renovation during that time* Should be reopened by October

Just happened to be in the area so we dropped in for lunch. The people here are just great. We had a young server who had great personality and couldnt help enough. The food was terrific and the portions are huge. This doesnt look like much from the street but its a find!!!!!!!

Great overall experience at Casa Portuguesa! We had the calamari, which the owner explained is bought as a whole squid and cut up, battered, & fried in-house. We also had the Francesinha (pictured below), a specialty Portuguese sandwich! Would definitely recommend both dishes.

Delicious food - the grilled squid was cooked perfectly. Their house red and hot sauce were excellent too. You can buy the hot sauce in a bottle (which we did). Nice local spot , we will be back!

And again, anything Carlos is involved with is fantastic. Food was amazing, the environment was welcoming, staff is top notch. Such a great experience, give this place a try!

We had a great experience on Oct 3/21 at Casa Portuguesa. After travelling 2 hrs to this restaurant. There was no tables available when we arrived, but the co-business partner of this restaurant used his expertise and did some quick thinking and was able to move one couple to smaller table so that he could accommodate our group. We are grateful! We enjoyed the food and the server was great. I highly recommend this place.

Amazing authentic Portuguese food. Went with my brother-in-laws, one of whom was born in Portugal....and we all loved it.

I can only speak for takeout, but, good food, I appreciated the variety, prices were okay. Overall nothing was outstanding (we picked up for 3), but no complaints. Would order from them again.

I understand that different places in Portugal have different methods of cooking the same dish. However I have never tasted Portuguese food this bland in my life. The potato salad tastes like nothing, the quarter chicken has a funny after taste, the steamed veggies taste like theyre out of the freezer, and the customer service is as bland as the food and very unwelcoming. This makes me sad as a Portuguese person who has eaten and cooked for different restaurants I felt very embarrassed for this place. Very very disappointed in this spot. I had to throw out a lot of food and order from Uber eats.

At first I thought the prices might be a bit on the higher side, but then the food came and the portions are huge! We had the cod with cream and cornbread crusted cod. Food was incredible, super authentic and I can t wait to go back for the Francesinha

Pretty pricey. No real lunch menu. They justify their pricing with portions for a starving 220lb person. Taste of the food wasn t anything memorable.

Came to this place back in june. I was having a hard time sleeping tonight and thought about food like most foodies who cant sleep and man tonight Casa portuguesa is lighting up my mind. Guys, forget everything else for a second. If you like squid and you dont come here, youre doing yourself a huge disservice and need to hop on it asap. If I had a plate of that right now I would lick it clean because its that good. A good runner up is their cod fish, tasty potatoes and ofcourse the service is amazing and friendly and home-like as if your sister or mom is serving you.

Unexpected dine in place. Super friendly stuff and very nice Portoghese food. They have also a short but researched wine list. We had a bottle of Bocalhoa Cabernet Sauvignon and a bottle of Bocalhoa Branco, both really good! Definitely worth checking it out.

Went with 2 bros for an early dinner. It was my second time dinning in this restaurant. We ordered Portuguese chicken, steak, sea bass and calamari. The sauces were made very well, which accomodated the bread well. Calamari was large and fresh. Also the sea bass. If you can eat a fish with bones, definitely try it.

This place is the best Portuguese place in the GTA. Amazing service, Amazing food. My husband and I had the picanha and the cowboy steak it was AMAZING. The quality of food is OUTSTANDING. Great Atmosphere! Bruno is doing a wonderful job going over and beyond to satisfy his customers. We HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place
