This is the worst bar in York, over serving is a regular occurrence, the bar tenders and staff play favourites and protect the regulars, they let them get away with assault and battery. Ex cops are regulars and looks it other way,
Great little Irish pub, just outside of downtown, with a traditional pub feel. The only take aways we the rickety stairs to the basement, where the washrooms are located, and the group of regulars who decided to talk about me from coming in in a suit and assuming I was "rich" and out of place (I came from a university grad ceremony). That said, the service was fast and friendly, even with only one server/bartender. Definitely will be back to try the food.

Literally my favourite go-to pub. Friendly atmosphere, very cosy, amazing beer, and nice people. Their karaoke night is worth visiting. I love the staff and the owner, they're literally so cool and the best ever 🤌❤️ 10/10 would recommend visiting.
Great place to have a drink with friends. The live band was cool & had a great following. The food has it's ups and downs. One weekend the fries were perfect & another weekend everything seemed overcooked. I think either overwhelmed with orders Would still go back. Just for the atmosphere
I found this lovely pub by accident! I was thirsty after dinner and wanted a drink. Since Covid many of the establishments have closed or relocated. The Irish Rose Pub had great reviews so I made the trek from Vaughn ON to investigate. The pub was welcoming with a great selection of beers and spirits. The kitchen was operational (no meals ordered) and the section for dart 🎯 throwing and competition was lively and festive! There digital jukebox was playing a great selection of music and can be accessed via a mobile app on your phone or from touch. Get over to The Irish 🌹and enjoy a pint of Guinness and a proper shot of Jamison! Don’t forget to tip the staff. They are top notch!

Cold frothy Guinness! Best guinny in the city. Bar was decorated up for Christmas, and lots of neighborhood people smiling and saying Hello. Great bar staff! Grabbed 9 drinks for the table, well priced. Thank you Irish Rose, will be back.

So, this was sort of a surprise to everyone. Me, because I had wanted to add this to my Summer Irish Pub Eponymous Burger Murdercycle Tour, and the owners did not expect someone to order food right at 3pm open on Canada Day. This didnt get added to my tour for several reasons - not being on the Murdercycle being the least of them. However, the staff, shaking off their initial shock, rallied admirably! No Eponymous Burger, no Murphys on draught - but a Harp and a tell me what you want, Ill make it later, and Im quite satisfied! Nothing like being the first diner of the day - burger was excellent, obviously home made and cared about. Bacon was thick and just a slight char on the fat to show it had been cooked properly - hot and fast with attention. Fries are thin cut skin on, with delightful crispy bits. Gravy was Pub Standard, but good enough for disco. All in all at first blush, Id love to have this place as my local. Easy parking on Weston off hours, not sure how busy it would get. Atmosphere is a 3 star because Im here at the wrong time of day. But its my favourite sort of small bar. My sole ew was the smell of dirty astray when I walked in. However - I got there literally 10 mins after they opened. Staff cleaned this up fairly quickly as they were opening, and I mention this more as a theyre paying attention than a complaint. Good stuff. Ima visit again.
Not an expensive bar, there is a live performance of country music, it plays very loudly, it is not possible to talk

Loved the vibe of this place. They have fun live music. Food and drinks were great. The wings especially. We have had many different wings over the years. Not sure what they do here but they are a good size, crispy and great sauces. Can t wait to go back for another band night. Great find. Food

I was only there a couple times before this time but never felt more at home... Everyone was quite friendly and welcoming... Will plan another Saturday night there again soon!!! Oh it doesnt give me an option to select this But OMG the chicken fingers are to die for!!! A must try if you do a drop in there

The Only Real Irish Bar in Toronto roll on the 31st so I can get back there! Excellent food, professional and friendly staff and the customers are just as big a part of the pub too. Always the best of craic at the Rose!

The good. This place as cold beer . The food has gotten much better since the new menu showed up about a year ago. The gentleman running the bar was cool and let me bring my dog into the back outdoor patio a few times. If I could give it one negative comment. The last time I was there I asked for fish and chips and they didnt have any. I didnt notice till I got home. But I was accidentally charged for it . Im sure it was a mistake and it was my fault for not properly checking the bill before paying. Otherwise this place is honestly great.

Great Irish beer on tap! Lots of TVs for sports, kitchen is closed on Mondays, but you can get chicken wings, fries, chicken fingers. The wings were good!

Love this pub! Only been a couple times. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere. Has live bands, karaoke and plays great classic rock. Menu is lacking a bit, but the fries we all shared were really good! See you again soon!
Great service, OK food. The fish and chips is great. Shepherds pie was a bit bland. The kids burger was a tiny slider. We were given a complementary slider as we were not happy with the size. Kids chicken fingers was of decent size but a bit too spicy for our kid.

Good service but the place was too small (not enough tables) and really smelled like old cooking oil. The server also tried to lecture me that theres only one type of Guinness, when a quick Google search shows there are a few.

This pub is so friendly and quaint. I love going here, the staff and owners treat you like family/neighbors. Its right on the TTC bus line #89, no need to drive, cab it or Uber. Totally reccomend

More of a pub than your regular Canadian eating establishment with drinks or a bar in the corner of a huge restaurant. Hard to find now days, not for everyone, but its for me. Much more like the pubs you find in Ireland/UK and being English it suits me. Very friendly regulars and staff.
