Paid 23.00/ 37.00 after all the Uber fees. for a large oxtail dinner. It came with a lot of rice and a handful of oxtail pieces in a 6*9 take out tray. Thirty seven dollars for a take out tray left a bad taste in my mouth.

To all my black people please dont go to Z BAR & GRILLE,the owners are racist,they also are very unprofessional, white people shouldnt open businesses in black communities especially if they dont like us!!!! Their food is not even tasty or good,yet they are selling all our Caribbean delicacies to get rich but yet still oppress us.... This was my first and last time I would ever be spending my money there... I love every creed and race but that doesnt mean I should allow WHITE PEOPLE to treat me like slavery days..... HELL NO. NOT IN 2024. My phone wasnt even loud,you guys were sitting at the bar and my friend and I were all the way close to the front entrance, before the others left the conversations on our table was even louder and u guys didnt say anything!!!!!! Z bar has amazing food, cheap beer, and good vibes. The pool tables are a great addition. Z (the owner) is so attentive and makes going feel like going over to a friends place to hang.

Jerk chicken was outstanding! Your sauces? The homemade pepper sauce is the flavour of my life. I chase the dragon and found it. Your popcorn chicken should be illegal for how good it is. I m not sure how you prep it but the chicken is really good and the batter Possibly the best batter I ve ever eaten. Your menu is overwhelming but I feel the urge to eat it all. I feel bad for people ordering things like wings and not having good reviews. Wings and fries are a nightmare for any kitchen to deliver because of the conditions they must endure in the packaging. We just wanted a lazy Sunday meal last night, and did the Uber Eats thing, but I am getting over to you guys ASAP. I apologize for the number of words but kitchen work is thankless and you tend to only hear when something sucks. Keep up the incredible work. I WILL see you soon. :)

Z Bar & Grille is my favourite restaurant in the neighbourhood! The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. I love their wings and chicken sandwiches, but anything you get here will be yummy. They open late, so Im super grateful when I work late and need a quick meal. PS: Also, its a great place to hang out with friends!

Went for Winterlious. Had a very enjoyable time. Food was very tasty, both the jerk chicken and brisket. Desert were also tasty key lime and lemon pound cake. Atmosphere was hole in the bar but staff were very attentive and nice.

Unsanitary and dangerous; should be shut down. The place is infested with rodents even inside the kitchen. The employees dont use hair nets or gloves and dont wash their hands. They leave the food sat outside for hours and microwave everything. Come eat here if you want food poisoning. Edit: Regarding the owners response. A restaurant can perform according to inspection expectations for one day for a pass and go back to being lazy the next. We know how restaurants react to inspections. Seek help if you think youre actually running a sanitary business.

One of my favorite places! Where I always feel like family, with the best nachos on town you can ever get, Dawn and Z will always take care of you and make you feel like if you were at home. Definitely one of the best places to socialize and play pool. Hands down to Zbar

The food has never been great from this restaurant but their bogo offer on Uber Eats was reasonable. Then they decreased the sizes I thought, well times are tough. But now, to add insult to injury they will charge you $2.50 if you want gravy on their dry as sand rice and peas and they will be rude when you call them. That was the final straw. I do not often leave reviews but this time I will make an exception. This restaurants food is subpar and now their service has declined to match their gruel. The Mac and cheese was so bland and lacking cheese it should really be called Mac and... There was no cheese. The jerk chicken is trash. The soups have little to no meat in them and are not good either. I tried several things on the menu hoping to find a diamond in the rough but all I found was rough service and bad food. Do not eat here unless you got like bad food and worse service.

Great spot to go for a cold beer, courteous staff and good food. Part of weekly ritual after hockey stop in for a fresh cut fry and a beer. Great place to watch hockey/basketball games as well.

Hands down the best place for Jerk food. I had nachos with the jerk chicken and oh my god its AMAZING. I tried both their Z burger and the jerk pork dinner and I am definitely going back for it. Love the place and the service!!

I love Caribbean food always ate it when I was younger... this, wasnt great. Last night I ordered jerk chicken roti. Somehow, it tasted like scorched beans amd had the distinct smell of what i can only describe as body odor. Today, I am sitting in the bathroom writing this review. I have been sick in an unpleasant way since waking up this morning. My wife ordered their jerk pork salad, she said it tasted okay, but not like jerk, or anything great. She lucked out stomache wise at least. Needless to say, this has been a disappointing eating experience, as well as a gastrointestinal nightmare for myself. I do not plan on ever dining with them again and couldnt in all honesty recommend it.

Horrible food, pick a style and master that, your menu makes no sense. Maybe 2 kitchens, that at least.... You have 2 menus that dont mesh, and cook both of them horrible!!!! Your dumb!!! Your oxtail is really horrible.

Ordered from uber, presentation good, liitle coleslaw portion which was ok in flavor but wouldve preferred more of a creamy kind, jerk flavor was lacking. Overall fresh but needs more flavor. There is potential.

I ve tried nearly everything on the menu and keep coming back. I love that it s a Jamaican chef but it has a twist of classic Southern cooking courtesy of the owner. Where else in Toronto will you find jerk brisket? A rare gem.

Lacked flavor

The food was OK, typical bar food, not much to ride home about... the bartender (May be the owner), she knows how to make you the perfect drink. Just tell her your mood or preferences, and she has just the right suggestions for you. The area is very unsafe. We sat on the patio to eat and drink. Two men passed by hurling hate speech at us. They went inside the bar for a short time, and when they were leaving the bar, they threatened to shoot us in the head, calling us derogatory names. They appeared to live close by. As they lingered in the area, we became increasingly uncomfortable, stopped ordering, packed our food, and left.

Weve ordered takeout from this place a couple dozen times over the last few years and every time the food has been excellent. Everything is fresh and thoughtfully put together, prices are fair, lots of variety and good serving sizes. The spicy jerk sauce is very spicy! Just tried dining in on the patio for the first time and loved it. Very chill vibes, comfortable patio and indoor seating, great beers on tap, pool tables, clean washrooms, etc etc. Its our go-to restaurant in this neighbourhood.

The bartender made me feel super uncomfortable with her bossy attitude and she gave me death looks almost. Owner was super nice but not the bartender. Food was nice but the bartender ruined everything. She was an older lady with blond hair.

Flavours just felt off when comparing to other jerk chicken and roti places weve ordered from the area in the past. Jerk chicken and shredded jerk pork roti were too sweet and the spices didnt come through even though we ordered spicy. Coleslaw tasted like it had been sitting out. The festivals were stale and inedible. Beef patties are just the store bought ones but were ok. Maybe it was just an off day as the other reviews are good overall.

If you can, DO NOT order delivery, visit in person instead. I ve eaten at the diner before. For some reason, the quarter chicken I ordered for delivery tasted spoilt. We ended up throwing them away. I understand that we might not have received the best quality since I placed the order around 9PM. But, having the food tasted that bad was just unacceptable. My mate and I ended up throwing the entire order including the other items to the bin for the fear of food poisoning.

Kamali was a friendly and kind person love that bar , and I suggested to everyone who want to be in a friendly atmosphere . I m coming back soon

Currently pregnant and have trouble eating or keeping food down but I ordered their jerk chicken and jerk pork through uber eats and I gotta say my baby actually liked the jerk chicken! It was moist and I didnt want to throw it back up. The jerk pork I didn t like so much it was kind of hard to chew and wasn t tender. Ordered your jerk pork in the past and it was good. Could ve been a dry batch I got tonight. But still deserves a 5 star for that jerk chicken alone!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the jerk chicken side and it came with two pieces but not even kfc two piece couldve touch what I had. Meat slid off the bone! My God

Some of the best jerk chicken in the city! Coleslaw is tangy and a perfect balance to the smoky jerk chicken and the oxtail gravy is rich and savory. Yum!

Terrible service and the food will make you feel sick I understand everyones experiences are diffrent but mine was terrible the food was undercooked and made me feel sick. Dont trust this place its not worth the risk

I decided to UberEats from Z Bar and I m sooo glad I did. I ve lived in Eg West for a few years and always walk by Z Bar but this is my first time ordering from them. I ordered their jerk chicken meal and some snacks on the side (love this option by the way!!). The chicken was super juicy and has a nice smoky flavour! Rice & peas with slaw were also great! Definitely looking forward to trying their oxtail next!! :)

You can tell a lot about a businesses customer service skills by how they respond to a poor review. This restaurant did not disappoint, they deliver the same terrible customer service skills in person as they do online. Hopefully the owner sees this and fixes it.

One star as this is the lowest level. Ordered the boneless chicken roti. The dish was so uninspired and i wish someone would have put a modicum of flavour into it, even some salt. Came with bones even though I paid a premium to get without and the roti wrapper was flaccid and quite revolting. Best in Toronto no thanks. I will go elsewhere for the $$$ they charge!

Ate here all summer when covid first hit and it was delicious. Thought Id try it again but backed out when I saw the quarter jerk chicken meal is $18 on ubereats. It was $10 when I first discovered this place two years ago.

Ive dined in, done take out and had it delivered (via third party delivery service). Ate beef patties, jerk brisket, jerk chicken and all of it has been some of the best Ive had in the city.

I ordered the spicy beef patties from here today. Generally I get my patties from Randy s or Allen s so I wasn t sure what to expect. I am soooo impressed! I m also extremely impressed at how the owner responds to other reviews and is gracious about any critique. We found this restaurant on Uber Eats and have ordered a few times now. Each time is perfection. Their jerk chicken is mouth watering, even their rice is perfect!! Never dry! We tried the curry chicken poutine and it was incredible ! The portions are very generous. The beef Patty s are the best I ve ever had! As you can see from me carrying on....it s deliciousness and I highly recommend!!

Ordered from here this past weekend and WOW, WOW, WOW!! YUMMY!! Food was fresh and delicious and spicy just the way we wanted it. Rice was super fresh even late at night and the meat was fall off the bone delicious! We ordered the jerk platter and combo platter with chicken and oxtail with a side of suicide wings (careful with the hot sauce a little bit goes a long way) .Everything was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were great! Picked it up and the service was friendly and fast. Will most definitely be ordering and recommend to others...our new go to place!! Thank you

Amazing jerk chicken! Love this place

Tried for the first time last night, was in the mood for a hearty meal and the reviews + the owners responses convinced me to give it a go. Got the large jerk chicken dinner + a lemon pound cake. First off the size of the meal was amazing for the price, was packaged nicely, personally really liked the slaw - the acidity helps balance out the spice, the jerk itself was flavorful and had me wanting more. I ordered the oxtail gravy along with the dish and poured it on the rice and peas - truly my favorite gravy I have ever tried. Really the only thing that didnt hit for me was the lemon cake, I know it sounds silly but it was almost too tart / lemon tasting for me? Certainly wont knock them on it - ill just try a different dessert next time :)

The best Buffalo wings ... and menu full of variety staff is inviting

Have ordered Goat curry from this place couple of times it s good but last night ordered ox tail curry with rice & extra gravy!!! Ox tail was perfectly cooked it was so soft & gravy just tickled the taste buds. Only thing is their rice it s too sticky (at least in my opinion) I find it hard to enjoy with the delicious curry.

The stewed chicken roti and the mac and cheese I ordered were great. The chicken nuggets were tough and dry.

Super nice staff but the prices are very high.

I ve ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats at least three times now, (twice today because family tried my food and loved it so much so I ordered some of their own), and this place never disappoints! The food is absolutely phenomenal, the staff are kind as they always leave notes on my orders and let me know if they had to sub an item. I hope to visit in person one day to meet the amazing workers! I really recommend everyone try the green chilli wontons and the chocolate kahlua bunt cake.

Amazing time at z bar. The food is really good, the waitress is so courteous. Everything was perfect. I just recomend, if you dont like spice food, ask for not spice jerk chicken/sauce, because the regular one is realllyyyy spice (in my opinion). The deserts were also delicious!!! It can be a struggle to find quality food at decent prices from any kind of establishment nowadays but this was a great experience. Their BOGO free deals on Uber will set them apart so keep that up. Food was fresh, plentiful and arrived pretty quick , especially at a later time of the night. Places like this deserve recognition. Keep it up! Ill be back.

I ordered through uber eats and I was very disappointed. I got the oxtail dinner. The white rice taste like plastic covered in gravy. The coleslaw was very sour and had a really bad taste to it. This is second time I ordered and wasnt able to enjoy my meal.

I ordered the oxtail dinner it was good.I got the beef patties they were good.the lemon sqs and namimo bars were excellent.I ordered the 3 pulled pork on a bun..good taste, the only thing is that they were on a seasamee seed hot dog bun cut into 3..I wish they were on a better bun..I ordered at 12 oclock night so mabey they ran out of better buns..if that is the buns they use u should maybe think about changing the bun..besides that the food was good and I will order again sometime.thanks very much

Ordered the saltfish and festival and the jerk chicken dinner. Outside of receiving three tiny pieces of fish, it was stale, hard and not edible. Very disappointed. But the jerk chicken was great!

I ordered from them for the first time not knowing what to expect. I ordered the pork jerk sandwich with cheesecake .. everything from the main dish to the sides were amazing! The sandwich was juicy, the ratio of coleslaw to sauce was perfect and the cheesecake was mouth watering. Everything hit the spot and I will definitely be coming back!

We order oxtail dinner and curry goat for delivery. The food is yummy and very tasty. The door dash delivery is very fast. He is 2 minutes ahead of time. Definitely we recommend Z Bar and Grille..

Had a craving for ox tail and ordered from doordash. The food was delicious even after taking the grand tour of the neighbourhood while being delivered. Meat was pretty much fall off the bone. Small Rice portion was enough for me and the slaw was just right. The beef patty was great as well. Probably better if I toasted it before devouring it.

succulent curry goat pieces savoury to the last bite, the nachos were loaded w stuff and I really like how they have vegetarian friendly options for my gf thats a huge one for us!!! Thank you for our delicious dinner!!
